great computer weightless great battery super fast loading speed perfect for college

I went through 2 of these Surface Laptops, and I really wanted to like it. The 3:2 screen is excellent for productivity, the keyboard is wonderful to type on, and the alcantara finish on the inside is super comfortable. But after going through 2 of these and having similar issues between them, I decided to get something else. The first one had an issue with the fans where they would sound like they were constantly and quickly revving up and down in speed. Like a car trying to turn over. Not just that, but there was a static buzzing noise under the keyboard, right near the F12 key. I exchanged it for another one, and while the fans were much better on the new laptop, the annoying buzzing sound remained. Looking online, the buzzing sound has been a common complaint since the laptop's launch, and the most Microsoft has done to address it is apparently telling people that it's 'normal'. I'm sorry, but an electrostatic-sounding buzz under the keyboard should not normal for any laptop. It's very audible and very annoying if you're in a quiet room.

I bought this computer in place of buying a Mac Book. I am super glad I bought this computer instead because it is so easy to use and portable. It is more versatile for what I needed it for and I can do so many other projects. I recommend this computer to anyone looking for a Cricut Design space usage. I has surpassed my expectations.

This laptop is really nice to use. Almost startlingly fast when waking from sleep and quick on power up. Battery life isn't stellar, but sufficient for my needs. The keyboard is a pleasure to use. Love the alcantara texture as well. The biggest drawback I've seen so far in the first few weeks of use is that home and end keys were shared with function keys. Overall, it's a really fun device to use.

I like my Surface laptop a lot. I was worried one time that it wouldn't come on but I learned that the laptop goes to sleep and you have to type some keys to bring it back on. I purchased it for school work. I like it that is light and the touchscreen is very convenient. The speakers volume is good and also the face recognition system. I am very pleased with this purchase.

As far as thin and lights go, this is one of the best. The build is one of the best and the feel and weight of it makes it amazing to hold in a bag or in hand. The 3:2 screen ratio is great for viewing the web and writing and the fans are barely audible. Top laptop for what I need it for and if you need more power just look to the other Surface 3 models.

This is the 3rd Surface I've purchased from BB, now each of my kids have their own. This is a durable computer that my 12 year old has used for 3 years, including the drawing stylist. She has drawing software and uses the screen like etch a sketch. No drama, no issues, no down time. All my kids do online school and use the full MS office package, Teams, and play games such as Minwcraft.
