I have a Surface Laptop 2 as my primary work computer so when it came time to find a new personal laptop, the new Surface Laptop 3 made perfect sense. And, I luckily got a different color so I could tell them apart. I like the Surface because it's lightweight and thin but still powerful enough to run applications.

I bought this computer so I could start working from home on a computer that wasn't almost 15 years old, and found the great deal on the Surface Laptop 3. It's incredibly lightweight but powerful, and the Sandstone color is a dream. Highly recommend if you want a Windows computer that runs (and almost looks like!) a MacBook Pro.

Was really debating between this and Mac. Glad I chose this instead! I got the cobalt blue and it’s very slick appearing. Coming from a 15.6” monitor, I was very hesitant to downsize to the 13.5 but the screen is big enough that I don’t notice a difference. It’s also really light and thin which makes it easy to travel with.

I've owned more computers than I can count, and this is definitely one of my favorites. I purchased it for my wife who needed Windows device. Microsoft designed the hardware wonderfully. The build quality is excellent, the metal finish is comfortable to type on, and it doesn't have the terrible keys that plague Apple's computers. The last computer I enjoyed like this was the old-school MacBook Air. Unfortunately, they're just a shell of what they used to be. Microsoft has really delivered with this. The battery life is excellent, it has a couple port options in a day when most companies are stripping them from their laptops, and the screen is sharp. Plus, the 3:2 ratio screen is a delight to use. The height of the screen is more like a 15.4" laptop, though it's closer in size to the average 13.3". Now that she has one, I'm considering buying a black one for myself.

I really liked the looks of this computer at first, but it bothered me that the keyboard deck was very flexible. The alcantara was nice but it was more difficult to clean than the surface pro one because you can't detach it. Really beautiful screen but it never got bright enough to not have a large amount of glare. The level of glare made me not want to use the touchscreen because it was even more obvious than on other touch laptops. The key travel was great. I think microsoft did a great job with its keys on most devices, but the wobble of the deck just really ruined the experience. I imagine if you go with the black or gold colors it wouldn't have this problem as its an all metal deck but I can't be sure. The fast charging was great and the inclusion of a usb port on the charging brick to allow you to charge another device is genious, I wish other brands considered this in their charger designs. This is a really pretty computer and I really wanted to love it but the glare and the deck made it feel less premium and I brought it back to get the Surface Pro 7. I think if you are getting a surface the Pro is the way to go anyways because its what they really excel at.

Computer is Easy to use. Love that it is lightweight

Great portable form factor but solid enough to be comfortable carrying around. High quality and good looking touch screen. The SSD lets it start up quickly. The battery life seems really good so far. The cobalt blue is very dark, almost black. It sets it apart from the normal selection a bit.

Really slim, work fast and easy to browse. Overall perfect.

I've had a company-owned laptop for years (Dell and Asus), so this was my first personal purchase in a long time. Love the size of my Surface and it's portability ... it's very light! And the color (sandstone) is beautiful. One thing I would have liked was backlit keys. Other than that, I love it!

Love it very friendly user fast and quick downloads

If you want a powerful and elegantly beautiful laptop, buy this one. It runs Windows 10 in a solid and snappy fashion. I looked a Apple but their laptops do not allow touchscreen. This laptop has all the features that you want in a laptop. I have no gripes about it. I am very impressed with it.

Nice laptop that runs all of the programs that I need to use on a daily basis. The unit being from Microsoft gets all needed updates for hardware and software all from just one site, no need to get firmware updates from one site then Microsoft updates from the Microsoft site.

This thing runs very fast, has a great screen, and love the Windows Hello Face ID. No complaints at all. If I wasn't so far up Apple's ecosystem this would have been great. Alas, my wife decided to get the comparable MacBook Air, which runs a little slower but has a nicer screen overall.

I am SO impressed with the versatility of this laptop. It’s value is immeasurable— the bang for the buck here is out of this world. The design of the Surface Laptop 3 is seamless and fluid. It’s functionality is also stellar. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I have had no issues thus far.

Premium feel and sleek. Value wise I wont pay full price. I think 799 would be a price point. There are limited ports. The keyboard feels flimsy quality and has some give. Sound is great and screen brightness is ok. There was no lag in you tube or browsing Battery life is 6 to 7 hours which is under par for the price point

Love these Surface Laptops, they are sleek, fast, and reliable. Make sure you have a good power source. The design cannot be beat, love these machines. Works well as its own unit or even better with a microsoft dock and a couple monitors. These things are BEASTS

I had purchased a surface laptop 2 early this year and I loved it, so when I saw this new generation i had to get it for my gf. It's a beautiful color and i like how fast it can be for most of the simple inputs, unlike the hp spectre that I had to return since it was not responding as fast as this laptop.
