Customers are satisfied with the Surface Laptop 3's lightweight design, ease of use, and keyboard quality. Many appreciate its portability and sleek aesthetics, while some find the battery life to be a positive feature. However, concerns exist regarding the price point, potential overheating issues, and a limited number of USB ports. A few users also noted that the fan can be noisy at times.

I've been using this for about a month now. I've absolutely loved it! There are a few nuances but overall, it's an amazing laptop. The minor things I do not like, is that the space bar will not enter unless it is pressed purposeful-ly in the center of the space bar, which is annoyiong since I've always just hit the edges of it with my thumbs. Maybe this is just that I have larger hands and it's a smaller keyboard... But thats one thing. The other thing is that the Night Light setting doesn't work as scheduled. I use it, as everyone should, at night and I have it on a timed schedule to turn on and off... Except it doesn't work. I'll open it up in the morning after the time when it should be turned off automatically. The night light will still be on, even though the settings changed itself to "off". I will then have to manually click it back on, then off again, for it to actually turn off. The same thing happens at night. Those are the minor things that annoy be about this but overall it is amazing. The touchscreen and drawing, with the surface pen, are like no other laptop/pen... It feels just like pen/paper. Extremely responsive and overall great except the small things I mentioned. Would definitely recommend.

The auto/adaptive brightness and contrast cannot be turned off without switching to incompatible graphics drivers which causes other problems so do not buy if you don't like auto brightness. It feels high quality. It can run hot. The hinge is great and it was easy to use a pen with it even though it can't fold all the way back. The keyboard feels good. It was hard to put the charger in when it is on a table. The screen has good brightness. I had problems with glare. Pretty silent even when running at max capacity. All in all, a good machine if you don't mind the things listed here. Given the fact that it had so many little problems I think it is overpriced for the specs. But it all felt high quality. In the end, auto brightness was a deal breaker for me, but some people love it or don't even notice it.

Got this for our 12-year-old since all the school work is not sent in electronic form. As It small and thin, touch screen, smooth keyboard, crip screen with touch, and it works as a laptop should. The case finish is great and so is the keyboard. The laptop starts up in seconds, the battery life is pretty good. I will look into getting the surface tablet next.

I have used many laptops over the years and this is truly a great laptop to work on. Screen is amazing, keyboard is so nice to type on, it is light and the battery lasts a long time. Not great for gaming but can play some basic games. Great productivity laptop for web browsing, email, using Microsoft Office, etc. Get one, you will like it.

One of the best laptops I have ever had. Fast processor. Shuts down and starts up instantly. The touchscreen is responsive. Screen clarity is great and the look and feel of the laptop are top-notch. The only thing that I would change if anything is the mouse pad as I like it when it clicks vs double-tapping but that is a minor preference.

This is the best laptop I have ever owned and I have had a few. This laptop is very easy to organize and work with because of it size. It’s thin & not to heavy. I take it everywhere I go during my work day, no longer need my iPad. I actually have two of these laptops, one for work and one for personal use. Thank you Microsoft!

I was coming from a MacBook Air 2019... I wanted to try something new... When I opened the box, I absolutely fell in love with the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3... It was beautiful, screen was robust and gorgeous and the keyboard, WOW... loved it... but 2 hours with it, after setup, it started heating up... it was so hot that the top of the box that I had it in stated to somewhat melt, the charging brick was so hot, I couldn't even touch it... unsure why but I read up and it is common... I bought the first generation Surface Tablet and it went back because it heated up as well, thinking years have passed, it would have been fixed and improved... but from what I experienced with this beautiful machine, it wasn't... I was sooooooooooo sad... this machine was sooooooooooo beautiful and it really edged out aesthetically the MacBook Air... Maybe I had a defective machine, I really wanted to love it, but alas I returned it... maybe in 2 years again I will give it a try... I got it at a really good price too... I bought this for my wife, she loves it. She was resistant to getting a laptop at first, but after holding it in the store, she thought she would give it a try. Since we purchased it (two weeks ago) she has used it almost every night. It is light weight, fast, and has excellent screen quality. I would not hesitate to purchase again.

After having my laptop for a couple months now I am absolutely in love. It is the perfect size it is light I can carry it around without being afraid to drop it the only thing that annoys me is some aspects of Microsoft don’t work like using F4 button in excel and some other short cut features but all in all this laptop is a good fit for me.

I'd been a MacBook Pro fan since 2014 when I got my first because I so badly wanted to fit in, but this past year I finally graduated from college and I decided I no longer wanted a MacBook and I've always been a Microsoft fan too. I had a Surface Pro for a short time a while back and I *loved* it except for the fact that with the stand, it was hard to use in my lap so when I was looking for a new computer, I knew I wanted one that was more lap-friendly. I bought my Surface Laptop when it was on sale and I made sure to do lots of research. I decided on the Cobalt Blue and it's beautiful. I don't know all the tech jargon but I did enough research when buying to make sure I got something that would last me throughout any more schooling I go through. I highly recommend this laptop! I found a good, clear case on Amazon and I've had no problems with charging it or the touch screen (which is also a plus over MacBooks). Again, I recommend this laptop but definitely always do your research before a big purchase!

I have had Dell and HP Laptops for years. I also love the Apple products and have a couple of those as well. I had wanted the HP however was swayed to give the Surface a shot and it has not disappointed. Easy to use, super light and perfect especially in light of working almost exclusively remotely.

A Solid Laptop with a Few Design Quirks

I would rate this a 4.5, but only have "full" star options so I went with a 4 because of what I see as some design quirks. I used a Surface Book 2 for many years and really enjoyed it, so when I needed a new laptop I went with Surface again. I think the weight, slim profile and screen size/orientation (I prefer more vertical space rather than horizontal space) are Excellent! My biggest issue with the computer is what I see as a major design quirk...very sharp and hard edges along the edge of the keyboard where you would rest your thumb when using the trackpad. After prolonged use, it can start to hurt my thumb. Microsoft put thought into the soft fabric-like material for the keyboard covering, it puzzles me why they didn't apply similar user-friendly design considerations to the rest of the keyboard. Perhaps I am just overly sensitive to things like this and it by no means is detracting from my overall decision to buy the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3, but it is something of which to be aware and a slight "ding" against an otherwise excellent computer.

I love this laptop so far! I am a student in college and so far with the online move this computer has been great. I love how fast it starts up and logs you in. Also, I love how light it is and it charges really fast and it holds its charge for a good amount of time compared to my old laptop.

This product caught me by surprise, I would recommend this product to anyone who is not quite sure about which PC to choose. The processor allow it to move and operate quickly and efficiently. For the price I would recommend that you check it out. Oh yeah, it is touchscreen as well.
