VG Windows Laptop

This and the Dell XPS are the 2 best I've owned. Quality piece with even a nice trackpad for a PC. Very nice display. A little sparse on the ports. Bought as an open-box for $860 which I thought was a great price. My 2 favorite things about the Surface is 1) facial recognition and 2) that Windows updates never mess it up, I assume because MS tests all their updates on these devices. Yeah!

It adds a whole new dimension after using a Macbook for so long. Buying a stylus is definitely recommended. I have deducted a star because it occasionally freezes and needs to be rebooted. Plus, one of the security software downloads that was included is quite old and can no longer be activated. Durability is a very important criteria when buying a computer. Since I got it just a month ago, I cannot yet comment on that.

Quality, Well Made Laptop

I flip it up and it reads my face and it's on within seconds. Zero complaints with screen. Speakers surprisingly loud considering the size of device. Alcantara may not be for everyone, I love the feel but do worry about stains. Large and responsive track pad. I originally was looking at a Lenovo that was about $250 cheaper, but I'm glad I chose Surface 3 laptop. Worth the added cost.

I'm glad I was able to eventually get the Surface 3, since I prefer the smooth metal surface, and I loved the 'pink' option. The surface laptop 3 is even quicker, and I just prefer Windows over Mac. I would say this is the best alternative to a macbook. I did research for which is better, and they were very comparable. It really comes down to personal preference.
