Surface Laptop 3 Review!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it! The design is flawless...speed is great... it has a nice kind of large screen but its very portable and lightweight at the same time. Touch screen is very convenient as well! Not to mention pricing is reasonable compared to the competition. Really wish it came in Ice Blue like the 12" but overall best laptop I've ever had.

Very nice
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very nice looking, light weight and sleek! The cons... I wasn’t aware that this particular model was not equipped with a disk drive, a right number keypad, it’s also missing a few USB ports nor does it have the HDMI capability. These cons are pretty significant considering the fact that I’m use to my laptop having these features.

Cracked screen without cause
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is poor quality. After owning it for a few months a hairline crack appeared going from the top of the screen to the bottom with no clear cause (no falls/drops). This must be some kind of design flaw with the glass, as I've owned MacBooks and Lenovo's for years and never had a cracked screen. I'm in contact with Microsoft about a repair but even that will take weeks and is a major inconvenience. I do not recommend this product.

One Phenomenal Notebook
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always thought the Surface units from Microsoft were overpriced and underperforming, but after buying a couple of USED Surface Pro 3 units from an auction site, my mind was changed and I am now a fan. I purchased this Surface Laptop 3 15" notebook as an 'open box' unit to save a few bucks. I came in a few days and was in great condition (even had the original box and packaging). It starts quickly, boots fast, and after a few Windows 10 setup steps, it is ready to enjoy. The keyboard is backlit and feels great, as does the over-sized touchpad. The screen is the best I have ever seen or used, bright & clear from ALL angles. The wifi and bluetooth connect quickly and stay connected, and it runs all of my software like a champ. Don't let the 8GB of ram fool you, this guys runs FAST and these new M.2 2230 small drives are very fast. The build quality is the best I have ever owned, and the battery is long-lasting, and charges up fast. The case is elegant and has a solid feel in your hands. The small SSD hard drive can be upgraded, but good luck finding a M.2 2230 drive sold commercially. Not yet, but when I can find one, I will probably buy it. But I can get all of my stuff on the 128GB just fine and room to spare. Overall, I am thrilled with my new computer and am happy to recommend it to anyone wanting a great machine at a fair price. BTY, the AMD processor and GPU work very well and are fast. I like the new Ryzen products. Get one and be happy for Thanksgiving & Chrismas.

What a beauty
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is amazing. The instant awake feature has the laptop on in a flash. Not only that, but the light weight makes this computer something that can be taken anywhere. The keyboard is pretty decent too. Not as good as a Thinkpad, but better than a Macbook or any of the standard keyboards that most regular laptop companies use. The touch screen is also pretty nice too. Though the one reason I would recommend this laptop is the battery life. This laptop just keeps on going and going. The battery on this unit is strong and is a true workhorse.

Great deal and better than a MacBook
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a great choice, not because of the fact that I got it open-box at store closing in Fort Myers for half the price, but because I feel this can perfectly compare to a MacBook levels without all the restrictions that come with it. Screen is great, excellent sound, I got it for Illustrator and Photoshop, it works good enough as long as I'm not exaggerating on open apps.

Great form factor, questionable performance.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like Surface laptops. I have owned them since Surface Laptop 1. love how light and thin they are. When I Saw the 15 inch version I fell in love with the larger screen. I grabbed one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB SSD. This is the AMD version. I am a computer engineer so I know exactly what I am talking about. I was very disappointed with the performance of this laptop. I ran a benchmark software and my older Surface Laptop 2 scored much higher than this AMD version. Also, I can never get Youtube to play 4k video without dropping frames. The Intel version doesn't have this issue. One big bummer and although this is advertised as 8 GB of RAM, it is essentially 6 GB . 2 GB are dedicated to the GPU. to me this is kinda misleading. Form factor, display quality, microphone, camera, keyboard, and touchpad are all top notch. If I can't figure out the stutteting during 4k video playback, I am going to return it and get the Intel version.

I love it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has everything I need. I also got the license for Word, PowerPoint, etc. in store and it was really easy to set up. (I’m not the best with technology.) This thing holds a charge forever! I love the touch screen! I can go back and forth from that to the keyboard easily. It’s also very light!

Easy is Good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this as it was the most user friendly. For the price, it had less storage and RAM than another we were considering we were considering, but ease of use was our primary consideration and it is an excellent system.

Nice 15” ultrabook with great build
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this Surface device for my wife to use for her new work-at-home job. In going from a 13” MacBook Air, we appreciate the larger 15” screen size and 3:2 aspect ratio. While this 15” laptop does not carry the typical 15” laptop internals that rival the Dell XPS and MacBook Pro, we like that it’s an ultrabook with a larger screen. It’s powerful enough for daily productivity tasks while offering a larger screen size and still being light and portable enough to carry around. Overall, we are very pleased with the Surface and most liken it to what Apple would have created if they ever came out with a 15” MacBook Air.

Le budget computer with all the bells and wistles
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased This laptop to replace my dying Surface Pro. The fact that it is a Microsoft computer with no bloatware makes it a breeze to set up and get going without having to format drive. As far as computer performance it is designed for everyday work tasks nothing fancy as it does not have dedicated graphics. 16Gb DDR4 ram makes for great performance Great laptop recommended for its battery life and portability.

Great for internet usage or light work
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked the versatility of using it with a mouse and/or with a second monitor. Also, I could use it almost anywhere in the house. I wasn't able to do as much work as I would have liked. If was not hooked up to the second monitor, it took me 2x as long to do my work, as I would need to keep switching which spreadsheet was at the front. 90% of my work is working with numbers. I rely on the 10-key function on my keyboard. Having the numbers in a row at the top instead of 10-key format was hard. Took me a little more time to enter the numbers into the tax program or spreadsheet.

Great price and design, but still bugy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this laptop during the black Friday sale. Price was great for such a stylish Windows based laptop. There are no major issues while using. Build quality is really good. Keyboard is just fine. Trackpad could be better and bigger (glass+force touch). Screen is awesome with great colors. So overall quality is on really good level. But after a week of usage the sleep mode started to fail. It basically couldn't wake up after some time off closed lid. Had to hard restart it 5 times in one month. Didn't want to waste my time with factory reset and Windows setup. And didn't want to think what would happen after 5 month of usage. I was MacBook user for the last 4 years and about 15 years PC user before that. Windows stability is improved a lot, but still is far from MacOS stability and simplicity. Switched back to MacBook. It's better to pay more now and have no any troubles for years, than pay less and then reinstall Windows every month. Anyway Microsoft did a great job with Surface Laptop 3. I hope in few years it will be on the same level with MacBook.
