Good computer for what its used for. Battery life last a day or 2 , touch screen convenient and quick.

Bought this back in April when my old laptop died my first day on a new job. I would normally prefer more memory (at least 16 GB) and storage (at least 1 TB), but for work purposes, the 8 GB of RAM and the 512 GB SSD are plenty. As with Apple computers, there's something to be said for the same company making both the hardware and the software. This Surface laptop performs smoothly, with none of the problems you'd expect to encounter when the OS has to accommodate a zillion different possible configurations of hardware and software. Good keyboard action, too—and excellent battery life. The inclusion of both USB-A and USB-C ports (one each) is a nice touch—no need for an adaptor to use existing backup drives. I would suggest three minor improvements, though: 1. Oddly enough, now that Apple has switched to USB-C charging, Microsoft has implemented something similar to Apple's old MagSafe charger. It's not as sturdy, though. Whereas Apple's MagSafe required considerable force to accidentally disconnect, it seems the slightest movement will disconnect Microsoft's charger. That's probably a good thing insofar as it protects the cable from damage, but it can be inconvenient if you're working away under the assumption that your battery is charging when you've really got only 15% left. 2. The lack of an indent at the front of the computer, combined with the Windows/Surface logo being four squares, makes it harder to tell where to open the lid. 3. A keyboard backlight would be helpful. Microsoft—who knew?

Solid battery life worked for 12 hours straight without having to charge - doesn’t get too hot like my apple used to.. camera + mic are quality enough to work from home. Slim and not too bulky, I’m glad I went with the laptop I did. I think 13 inches would be too small for me but the 15 inch seems to be just right.

I bought a Dell XPS but returned it, low resolution screen and so heavy. Exchanged for this, best decision I ever made. This computer is so well made, sturdy and at the same time thin and light, not sure how they did it, but they did. The screen is beautiful, battery life is great, such a joy to travel with this. Only slight is that I wish it had thunderbolt port instead of just USB C and USB A

There is no better built Windows laptop than this, the whole thing feels premium from the keyboard to the trackpad and the sturdiness of the chassis. No bloatware installed from the box and runs great. Love it in black!

This computer is a great choice for a light and thin laptop. It was easy to get connected to my wifi and is reasonably fast. Battery life is one of the selling points and so far it is great.

We like it! We bought this to replace a Microsoft Surface Pro 5. We like the speed, the size of the screen, weight and the attached keyboard. A nice improvement!
