This Surface replaced my MS Book. Same keyboard feel and good screen quality. Any new PC takes time to set up, and any complaints I have are about the transfer process. The Surface works great.

Amazing Screen. My daughter loves it.
The Laptop is more than a Laptop. You can tell it's built solid. The flexibility of the screen and the fact that you can get a magnetic pen that will stick to the side. Amazing. Writing on it is smooth.
A+. highly recommend it.
one knock would be if you think its like the thin light surface youll be disappointed. but its basically a portable gaming console pc with built in Ai.

This is one of the best work laptops I’ve encountered. I previously used the surface book 3, which was replaced by the studio, and I can easily see why. I love the design and feel of the device, and the quality is top notch.
My main complaint about surfaces is the battery life. I’ve found all my surfaces (and I’ve had them all) to underperform on the advertised battery time.

The machine is great so far. I have had a couple different surfaces over the years and I like several features on this one better. Intergraded keyboard, Laptop feel with tablet function, nice size and weight, good battery life, runs apps with no issue, overall great machine.
Drawbacks so far haven't been able to get wireless service yet, No case (TOUGH CASE) available yet. I usually use UTG or another tough style case as I work in industrial supply and in the field a lot.

This Surface Studio Laptop 2 has been an exciting powerhouse and experience over the past month I have owned it. My use case is using it as a desktop replacement and my config is the 16GB Ram 512GB SSD Drive w RTX 4050 graphics. I purchased a 512Gb SD Card capable of 180MB/s formatted to NTFS so I get 1TB of fast storage and I load and run games from the SD card. I have 3 external monitors hooked up to a hub, one of them an ultrawide 3440x1440, a gaming 1080P monitor 165hz, and an old 19inch monitor I use to stream news/financial info occasionally to glance at what’s happening, plus I keep the Surface in studio mode for those times when I need to write or glance notes. Once I am done working, it easily launches and plays games for which I use an attached controller.
Why did I choose 16GB instead of 32? With an SSD, 99% of all your use cases will never need that much RAM and if memory is paged, it is to the SSD which makes accessing data trivial and your PC will not break a sweat on the most demanding tasks. I sometimes have a virtual PC with a 6GB memory running in the background while multitasking and forget that it is on.
This is not a gaming PC but honestly unless you are a diehard, games on 1080P doing 60-120FPS are great. In my opinion, it is near Xbox series S equivalent. I run my PC games via Steam and Xbox app. As a use case, Destiny 2 is run off the SD Card, with 1080P medium settings and frame rate is usually between 70-90FPS and can dip to 54 and rise to as high as 240FPS depending on how intense the activity is. Most important is not noticing lag with the video, however being a wifi laptop, sometimes wifi causes stutter. Connect your USB-C hub to ethernet for the stability.
Lastly, on the points ‘professional reviewers’ rate laptops first they say this laptop is trying to be all things and that is bad – like, what? I like value for my money and it is the standard to compare to MACs. I also have a 64GB M2 Pro developer machine and I prefer Surface form factor and versatility. And I didn’t buy this for battery life- you know what I see at work when folks bring in their high-efficient laptops? They all plug it in, and reviewers make the battery anxiety a head fake. I actually think it is better to always have it plugged in as windows smart charging leaves your battery at 80% and only uses AC which will extend the life of your Surface.
Pros:
Premium feel, Versatility, Power, Ports and micro-SD, Gaming capable without bulky form factor
Cons:
No 16GB Ram 1TB configuration

I got the mid-tier of this laptop, 256gb, the rtx 4050, 16gb ram, and the 13th gen i7. Overall, this product was absolutely amazing. The first edition of the laptop surface studio was underwhelming with the components, but this version is nearly identical with the form factor (which is the most unique experience I’ve had with a laptop), with one upgrade being a usb type a port added as well, plus of course the components, which do not disappoint. This runs for a steep price, but it’s a beast of a laptop if you do any drawing, rendering, or video editing. Although it may not be made for it, it games really well, as I can run Helldivers 2 on medium settings at around the 80 fps mark. Unless you’re gaming, the laptop is quiet, and stays pretty cool. I use this for work every day, and it’s an awesome experience overall. The form factor is so unique, and it’s eye catching. The sleekness rivals apple’s MacBooks and other form factors, while still being distinctly Microsoft. If you have the money, it’s a worth while buy! The battery life is good and can last half a day on full brightness, but if you have it on a low battery mode and lower brightness, and keep it to office work, it will easily last you all day.
