There it is the updated with 13th gen H chip and the performance is acceptable. But, there is major design flaw that makes the whole beautiful one into a complete trash. Microsoft didn't update the design and it got same problems from previous model. Plus mine got speaker problem that is totally unacceptable to see sounds cutting off for 2000$ product.

I wanted to wait to write this review after I have had adequate time to get acquainted with the system as there is a lot to unpack when it comes to this laptop and I wanted to test it all. First of all, the build quality. Surface products always deliver in this area and the Studio Laptop 2 in no exception offering rock-solid build quality out of the gate. The weight of this machine is significant and should be taken into consideration as it is noticeably heavier than most laptops weighing in at a little over 4lbs. One very important aspect of this particular design is that it is very upgrade friendly and upgrading your M.2 storage is a lot easier in this model than the last generation. I have yet to do it as the removal of the vinyl ribbon is still too destructive for me and it will drive me crazy to not have that sticker present to cover the screws. Next, on to gaming. In short, it games and games good enough for me. The games I'm playing are mostly AAA titles from a few years back like Red Dead 2 and GTAV both play flawlessly. I was able to load Starfield at lower settings and the FPS was very enjoyable. Although this isn't a gaming laptop, it can most definitely game. The majority of work that I will use this for is going to be Photoshop and creative work and from my 3 weeks experience with this machine, I can say that I will continue to use this as my primary machine as the form factor compliments my work flow and adding the pen support really speeds up tedious tasks usually reserved for the mouse like the Quick Selection Tool in Photoshop. The unique folding hinge is probably one of the reasons you are considering this laptop. It's so great to be able to just use the pen to select parts of your subject. It really is game-changing. Moving on to the battery. Its not great but if you use it for light tasks like documents and web browsing it can be serviceable. Using the Nvidia dedicated graphics card can kill your battery in just under 2 hours. The 127Wh power adapter will juice you up to full in about an hour. The battery life is not an issue for me as I will always have a plug near by however, your use-case may differ from mine. The ports available in this model are better than the previous years' model offering two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports and a microSD card slot - I would have preferred a full-sized SD but this is better than nothing. I would welcome a future model with a larger screen as I feel the 14 inch screen is not quite enough room for creatives. Overall, this is a fantastic laptop.

The Surface Laptop Studio 2 is an absolutely fantastic device, that checks the box that would normally require several devices! I never thought I would be able to play Call of Duty MW2 on a "tablet"! Flipping the Surface into tablet mode makes that possible, and it still performs amazingly! This makes it easy to take with me for quick breaks at work, or laying in bed and watching movies or playing games. The touch screen is very precise and accurate, I have had no issues with lag or my palms registering as touches on the screen when I am playing touch screen games. The battery life is very impressive for a machine this powerful! If I am just watching videos it last longer than I have ever needed it to. Gaming is definitely something you will want to do while plugged in to power, the GPU and fans will deplete the battery really quick, but this is very common. It is a little heavy to use as a daily use tablet, but the trade off is definitely worth it for the massive amount of power you are carrying around with you! The performance on this machine is really out of this world, quick booting and runs anything you throw at it. The screen is beautiful and versatile with many different ways to view it. I couldn't be happier!

So I received my Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 a little over a week ago and have been putting it through its paces. First off, I must say, this thing couldn't have come along at a better time. I had just recently started looking at getting a new laptop since I haven't had a new one since November of 2016 when I got an 16" Acer Aspire. Now that old laptop has done very well for me over the last 7 years and still works to this day, but it has started showing its age. It's become very sluggish and was only sporting an Nvidia 960MX. Coming to the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 line, although its not he best or fastest graphics card by Nvidia (it sports an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050), it's still faster and better than that old 960MX on my old laptop. Inside the package comes: * Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 * 120W Power Supply * Quick Start Guide Now I must say that, I typically hate laptops/keyboards that don't have a separate number keypad off to the right side of the keyboard but it hasn't really been a problem for me so far. When you first open up the laptop, it instantly comes on and is ready to go. When you open up the Studio Laptop and it logs in, you're greeted by one of the most beautiful crystal clear 14.4" touchscreen. The keys on the laptop are backlit and respond when pressed. The travel/reachability between each key is easy without strain. The screen resolution is 2400x1600 with a peak brightness of 650 nits, which is simply stunning in my book. The screen also has 120Hz refresh rate which is amazing. 60Hz who??? The screen also features an integrated webcam which is great for setting up Microsoft Hello for faster logins. On the left side is USB-A port (thank you Microsoft), and 2 USB-C ports. Under the front edge of the Studio 2 is a magnetic area where you can store your Microsoft Pen (not included) for safe keeping. The right side of the laptop features the magnetic charging port, headphone port, and microSD card slot. The Studio Laptop 2 internally also features 16 GB of ram which is a nice start, and 512 GB hard-drive. I do like that they started the baseline at 16 GB but in this day and age, I wish Microsoft as well as other companies start their baseline models with at least a 1 TB hard-drive. That being said, 512 GB is still nice and most people should be fine with it. Loading up some music or videos on YouTube and you will be blown away by the amazing sound quality and richness that comes from the speakers. This is another area where my old laptop had began having issues with. There's so much that this laptop does that its pretty much an All-In-One portable machine. When you want to relax and wind down by either watching a great movie or playing an awesome game, simply bending at the hinge in the middle of the back allows you to to bring the screen forward to hide the keyboard and set it up for viewing mode. Or you can keep going further and lay the screen flat, which in turn the laptop becomes a tablet. Microsoft did an amazing job with the build quality of the Studio Laptop 2. It is a little chunky but if you're not transporting it a lot you should be fine.

The Surface Laptop Studio 2 is a well-built premium device by Microsoft that clearly takes some inspiration from Apple’s 14” Macbook Pro line of laptops. Side-by-side they would be hard to tell apart except that the Surface Studio is thicker and has a Windows logo on the lid. That extra chunkiness comes from a unique “double-stack” design where the laptop is split into two halves sitting on top of each other. This design provides separation between the exhaust vents that run the length of the sides on the lower half and the ports on the upper half. It helps to hide the vents and give the illusion that the device is thinner than it really is. While it’s small enough to fit into any laptop bag it is heavier than most 14” models on the market. The touch screen is a 14.4” 2400x1600 3:2 aspect ratio that supports Dolby Vision HDR and up to 120hz refresh rate. While the screen is good, it doesn’t have the pop of an OLED or mini-LED screen that I would expect to see in this price range. The screen has a hinge in the middle that allows it to be positioned over the keyboard to form what Microsoft calls “Stage” mode. It’s great for watching content or using it in a tight place like an economy seat. The screen can then fold completely down over the keyboard and mousepad to turn into a tablet. However, Microsoft calls this “Creative” mode, not “Tablet”, which makes sense as it is great for digital artists but too heavy to use as a tablet that you would hold in your hands. Microsoft’s Surface line has always nailed the drawing and inking experience. Unfortunately, a big miss here is that the laptop does not come with the Slim Pen needed to do those things. It must be purchased separately if you don’t already have one. If you do have one, it can magnetically charge under the front lip of the laptop. I really like the keyboard and trackpad. Microsoft is clearly showing manufacturers of Windows laptops what the gold standard should be, especially the excellent trackpad. The webcam, however, could be better. It’s listed as 1080p but is very grainy in anything but the best lighting conditions. Included is a 127w Surface Connect charger which is a proprietary power connector. While the Studio 2 does support USB-C charging I was not able to successfully get it to charge with a 140w USB-C power adapter and cable. This is a shame as the included Connect charger is easily twice the size and weight of a quality 100w+ GaN charger. The laptop comes with a microSD slot but NOT a full-size SD card slot. I wish it had both as my high-end mirrorless camera uses a full-size card while everything else such as GoPro and drone use microSD. I can’t imagine having two slots adds that much more to the cost of the laptop but if I had to pick one it would be the full size and not the micro as I could always use an adapter. The CPU is the Intel i7 13700H which performs well. I scored a 2514 single core and 12800 multicore score in Geekbench 6. The laptop performed flawlessly for me while building a Node.js app for work and using Teams. While the laptop can get a little toasty the fans do an excellent job pushing out hot air and stay mostly quiet, which means this laptop can be used in most office settings without sounding like a jet taking off. It also includes an Intel AI chip called Movidius which I know little about but may be useful to those working in those fields. The graphics card included here is from the bottom of the barrel when it comes to RTX 40 series cards. You can certainly do some gaming on it at lower presets but I wouldn’t recommend buying this laptop if gaming is your priority. That said I was still able to play some Fortnite on Low settings at native resolution and 30 FPS limit. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, an older title, was able to score 88 FPS on its benchmark at native resolution, the High preset, and Nvidia DLSS set to Quality. Cyberpunk 2077, a new and more demanding game scored 43 FPS in its benchmark on the Ray Tracing Low preset but was able to muster a very playable 60FPS with DLSS frame generation enabled. The laptop includes Wifi 6E wireless and on my home network I was able to get 2.1 Gbps speed which is plenty fast. No ethernet port is needed here. The SSD is 512GB and not the fastest. I measured the sequential read/write speed at about 3500Mb/s and 2800Mb/s, respectively. Pros: - Great for Productivity Work - Compact Form Factor - Intel Core i7 13700H - 16GB DDR5 - Haptic Touchpad - Nvidia 4050 Laptop (80W Max GPU 6GB) - 120hz HDR Display - Converts to Stage and Creative Modes - Excellent Battery Life - Includes Two USB-C (Thunderbolt 4/USB-4), 1 USB-A - Windows Hello - Wifi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 Cons: - Heavy for its Size - Doesn’t Come with Digital Pen - Only a MicroSD Card Slot - Expensive - Webcam could be better. - SSD Speeds Overall – While overkill for home and students, I can see how this laptop could be perfect for professionals, developers, and the creative type such as artists. The build quality is superb, its compact, mostly quiet, and has plenty of performance. The touch screen and tablet-like capability are something you won’t find on an Apple laptop. However, it is expensive, and at the very least I wish it came with a pen to help offset that cost.

    A Great Update…Except 1 Small Thing

Having used the original Surface Laptop Studio for well over a year I was very excited to check out this new update. The original Surface Laptop Studio is easily THE best PC laptop I’ve ever used. For some perspective, I primarily use a Mac but use PCs about 1/3rd of the time and I actually prefer to use this while traveling due to its versatility. It’s a great on-the-go content creation tool for writing, photo editing, as well as video editing. Here’s what I love about the Surface Laptop Studio (both the original as well as this second gen): - Versatility: That’s really what it’s all about. I use it as a laptop primarily but having the ability to use it as a tablet is the reason I use this on the road where I only have to bring one device that can serve double duty as a tablet. In fact triple duty with the stage mode which I find to be useful while on an airplane. - Touchscreen: A very predictable touchscreen where taps and swipes all work well and it has a great deal of precision. - Touchpad: The touchpad on the MacBook Pro is easily the best on the market. Having used numerous PCs over the years there’s nothing that comes close…except for this one. It’s predictable, all taps and touches are smooth, and it just works. - Surface Pen: Super useful in tablet mode where it can automatically transcribe my handwriting into text with OneNote and it does it with quite good accuracy, especially considering my handwriting resembles abstract art. Also being able to sketch out ideas or diagrams adds a lot more context to my notes. I just wish that it came with the Laptop Studio and wasn't an additional accessory. - Build quality: Incredibly solid all around from the hinges, the ports, keyboard, trackpad, etc… - Amazing display: the 120hz display is phenomenal. It gets quite bright, colors pop, there’s tons of contrast, and you can view it easily from off-angles. - Battery Life: I’m usually able to get around 8 hours or so of use as long as I am not doing continuous, heavy video editing tasks where that can drop it by about 10-15%. Here’s what I love about the updates with the second gen: - More Ports! There’s now an additional USB-A port as well as a micro-SD slot which provides more flexibility with accessories. - Faster: With a new processor I can tell that it’s notably faster than the previous generation (with similar memory). The previous generation was already a solid performer for me when it came to my video editing tasks where it can handle 4K footage well in Premiere Pro with very little lag while scrubbing the timeline and exports were also reasonable. With this new update the performance is even better. Not earth-shattering but certainly noticeable. Here’s what I’m not so in love with: - It’s slightly bigger and slightly heavier than the previous generation. That was one of the reasons I really liked the Surface Laptop Studio in the first place was that it had tons of versatility while being somewhat svelte for what it offered. This new version is a bit thicker where it feels more laptop-sized now. The weight probably won’t be super noticeable though unless you’re comparing it directly to the original. - The micro-SD card slot: I’m not sure where to start with this. While I appreciate the added slot which can be helpful for a content creator like myself, I find the choice of micro SD card slot vs a normal SD card slot to be BEYOND confusing. This makes it really only useable for content captured on action cameras and drones and leaves all of us with mirrorless cameras looking for yet another dongle. Who actually made this decision?! The only reason I can come up with is that they’ll include it with the 3rd gen Laptop Studio which would make it a reason to upgrade. There are so many great things going for this convertible laptop like the incredible touchscreen display, the fantastic touchpad, the versatility in different configurations, as well as the build quality which is top-notch. But it’s hard to ignore the lack of a full-size SD card slot which makes it much less usable for a creator on the go.

The Surface Studio 2 is an impressive laptop/tablet combo with high speed and power combination. I have tried a few different 2 in 1 laptops and the Surface Studio 2 definitely leads the pack in power, style, and usability. Setup was quick and easy, especially if you already have an existing Windows device. All of my apps were loaded onto it during setup. The versatility of the laptop to tablet is seamless while still being sturdy and stable. Security is a breeze as it utilizes Face ID and eliminates the need for passwords. This device has excellent battery life, it would be great for travel. The device comes with its own Surface specific charger and Surface connect port that can be used with Surface docking stations. However, it will also charge with a USB-C charger. There are two USB-C ports, a USB A port, Surface connect, and AUX for headphones. The screen is crystal clear and perfect if you're planning on using it for graphic design or art purposes. Once in tablet mode, it is fairly thick and bulky but the speed add value to a typical tablet. Pros: -Speed -Battery Life -Large screen size -PixelSense Touch Screen -Various ports for device connectivity -Face ID Cons: -No pen included -Odd charger -Bulky/heavy Overall, this is a great device especially if you are looking for a high powered device that two in one capability. I look forward to getting a Surface Pencil to test out the other capabilities.

PROS - Powerhouse in a unique form factor and screen hinge - Good pen and touch support with Windows 11 - Great backlit keyboard CONS - Camera could be higher quality As an owner of a Surface Book 3, there is a lot to like about the Surface Laptop Studio 2. The old hinge design with the entirely detachable screen was a cool concept, but I think with the introduction of the Surface Laptop Studio and the improvements in the latest 2nd generation, Microsoft has concocted a winning formula. DESIGN/FORMFACTOR The design, while a departure from the original craziness of the Surface Book still has some quirks and unique design features that help it stand out amongst the crowd. Namely, you’ll noticed the recessed edge or lip around the entire device. This inverse tiered cake design provides for this optical illusion that the device is much thinner than it is. It’s not thick by any measure at .86” total, but I did find that the extra thickness and more angular cut of the base did wear at my wrists a little more than my old Surface Book 3. Along the right edge there is the typical Surface Connect port for the power connector which magnetically attaches, plus a headphone jack (yay!), and microSD card slot (handy for a person like me that uses a lot of action cameras). Along the left side is the 2 thunderbolt 4 ports that support power delivery and finally a traditional USB A 3.1 port which is great to still see on this kind of device. While the TB4 ports support DisplayPort, I would have liked to see a dedicated HDMI port, but you do have options. For professionals and people who need extra ports, there is a Thunderbolt dock that Microsoft sells for that exact purpose. KEYBOARD/TRACKPAD The keyboard is a recessed chiclet design that is backlit for late night working. They have a nice grey color which should help mask dirt. It is very nice to type on – I wrote this review on this device and I was almost immediately comfortable with the keyboard getting just over 90 wpm in a typing test. It has just the right about of key travel and the keys are well spaced while not requiring a ton of actuation force. The trackpad is larger and has nice haptic feedback that is adjustable. I didn’t have an issues with palm rejection or my inputs not being detected. There are a bunch of multitouch gestures for showing the desktop, switching apps, and multitasking that all work very well in Windows 11. DISPLAY/TOUCH/PEN The display is 2400x1600 which is a 3:2 aspect ratio, great for editing/formatting documents as well as providing a large canvas for creative work. It operates at 120 Hz so web browsing and navigating is all silky smooth. It’s also a touch screen so if you are a person like me that likes to navigate websites by scrolling with your finger, you’ll be right at home. The party trick for the Studio 2 is 180-degree hinge which allows the bottom of the display to come out while it pivots in the middle. This is accomplished with a fancy durable ribbon cable that ensures you can continue to transform your Studio 2 for years to come. You can move the base of the display to sit right in front of the keyboard for things like gaming with a controller or watching a movie (when you don’t need to touch the keyboard) and then finally nearly all the way flat which provides the perfect slight angle for sketching and taking notes. The Surface Laptop Studio 2 doesn’t come with a Slim Pen 2, but I had one handy. The writing technology Microsoft uses is fluid and realistic. The tip has a slight vibration to simulate the friction of paper and it feels pretty good. I think if you are looking to use this device in school for notes or for work in graphic design, the pen is going to be an obvious additional purchase. When the pen isn’t in use it also tucks nicely under the ledge of the laptop out of the way. The magnets really hold the pen in place, and it charges wirelessly while docked which is super handy for ensuring that your pen is always ready for your next idea or lecture, and perhaps most importantly, won’t get lost. Pen and touch integration has gotten a lot better in Windows 11 as well – positioning the screen flat enlarges buttons on the task bar and overall menus, drop downs, and buttons are all easy to navigate with touch or pen allowing you to work the way you want. Swiping from the left of the screen opens the widgets tray that hosts the latest updates to your interests, like sports, traffic, and weather as well as an assortment of news. Swiping from the right opens your notification center and calendar, where you can catch up on things you might have missed or turn on focus mode so you can knock out the task at-hand. CAMERA/SPEAKERS/MICROPHONE Overall, I found the speakers to be good quality though they were making popping sounds initially. After I completed updates, it seems to have gone away. Highs are clear and crisp while the mid and low range is better than I would expect for a laptop. The camera has some cool features like blurring your background and adjusting your eyes to appear as if you are staring into the camera which helps make calls more personal and engaging. My only wish is that the resolution/sharpness of the camera was better – the image seemed kind of blurry/noisy and even washed out in some environments. It’s more than useable though, and for casual video conferencing it does get the job done. If you’re recording for a video or social media you will probably still use a separate camera. The microphone I thought was very high quality capturing what I thought was a very true recording of my voice with good isolation. Pairing this with noise cancelation from your favorite video conferencing app and your teammates are sure to hear you loud and clear. PERFORMANCE The Surface Laptop Studio 2 is a capable machine – I got the i7 unit with 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage and the Nvidia 4050 w/ 6GB of GDDR6. I mainly use my laptop for 3D modeling in Fusion 360, Photoshop and Illustrator as well as some on the go gaming – Call of Duty, Destiny 2, etc. In my workflow, the Studio 2 performed well in all my assemblies and improved my rendering speeds substantially over my old machine. Thanks to the design with the vents on the left and right sides there is ample cooling – I would make sure to not block these though since they do sit on the lower portion of the chassis. The machine under load does get warm on the palm rests, but I never found it to be comfortably warm. The fans even when running heavy workloads are quiet. Running the 3D Mark Time Spy benchmark the Studio 2 secured a 7980 score at native resolution which is great – kudos to the engineers getting every possible ounce of performance out of this machine.

This machine tries to be many things, and it mostly succeeds at all of them, but for all they did right, I do think they missed on some things. To be clear, this is a fantastic device, with good performance, nearly unmatched versatility, and a very nice build. I just think there are some questions regarding component selection and value. Pros: Versatility. I feel it is almost unmatched with the several modes offered. Done very well Build. Very solid in nearly every regard (ports, hinges, screen, keyboard) Performance. While I have an issue or two, all in all, it is good Keyboard. Great to use. Comfortable Touchpad. “Just about” the best one out there. Great size Display. Not the brightest, but it does look fantastic. Accurate Touchscreen. Responsive and accurate Dedicated GPU. Nice to have the power to do some things when needed. Also game Cons: Size and Weight. I guess this is the cost of versatility. It is just a little heavy Bezels. Again, I guess this is part of the modes offered. It looks dated Battery-life. Perhaps my experience, but other than basic tasks, I can’t hit the rated times SSD. Fine, but they really could have gone for more speed Ports. I would love to see to see some more. Also, why micro on the SD? Display. For the class of laptop I would have liked to see more Pen. I just think it was a miss on a premium device to not include it Value. This is the biggest one for me and I will expand below As I said above, there is no doubt this a powerful machine. A versatile machine. In many ways a premium machine. It succeeds in many ways. For many, many people, probably most, this will work. It will work well. I just feel there is a question of value. For those who want to pay for the versatility of the modes offered, then I say go for it. I just feel for the class this laptop is in, the screen could be a little better, the SSD could be a little better, the pen should have been included, maybe they could have waited for the next gen of chips…I don’t know, I just think for the class it is in, and what is being asked, it could be better…even with all they did right. I would still recommend this machine, but only for those who want the versatility, have a specific need, or at a different price point.

I've really enjoyed using this laptop. I decided to use it as my main work and gaming device to see if it would meet my needs. There are so many things to like, starting with the Surface app give you a good overview of what is unique about the device. Windows Hello is an amazing experience. The quick login, even in a darker room, is great and reliable. The keyboard is incredible, just the right amount of travel and clickyness. The touchpad is the best I've ever used on a Windows laptop. The click haptics feel great and can be adjusted or turned off if desired. The screen is clear and bright. The 2400 x 1600 resolution at 150% scaling gives plenty of room while keeping text crisp. The screen at 120 Hz keeps things smooth and is great for gaming. Combined with the form factor, pulling the screen forward for gaming is amazing. A subtle touch, but the screen has rounded corners that match the laptop lid. I like the selection of ports, especially that there is a USB type A port. The surface connector is really nice, but you can also charge over the USB type C ports. With a 100 watt charger connected to USB type C, I was able to charge rather quickly, despite Windows saying I was using a lower powered charger. A must have purchase with this is the surface pen, and I do wish it was included. The screen is also a touch screen, and I prefer to use touch with the pen. Additionally, drawing works so well. There is no noticable lag and the pen input feels very natural. I also like using the screen to mark up a presentation. I could open a PDF in Edge, pull the screen forward and easily underline, circle, and notate changes. The pen charges by attaching magnetically under the front lip of the laptop. It is a heavy device, but still portable. It is just about the maximum weight I would consider carrying daily in my backpack. The speakers are suprisingly good. Enjoyable to listen to podcasts and music and also great for voice clarity on calls. The video camera is clear and works well in average light conditions. There are Surface specific features for the webcam. You can set automatic framing to keep you in the view, eye contact can be turned on, and you can set the background blur. The microphones are great as well. Throughout my work day the laptop didn't ever get very hot, which was great. Gaming does generate heat, which is expected. The elevated design does help with heat dissapation. The design also helps the laptop look smaller than it actually is, a sort of pedestal or tiered design. Battery life has been good. During light work with office apps, browsing, and small development projects I could get through the day without charging. Gaming will rapidly decrease that, which you would expect. I do like that I could be working away from my desk for a full day without needing to charge up. You can also get more battery life by keeping the device in the Recommended power profile. While gaming, you can change this to Best Performance, but the battery will suffer. If you keep the laptop plugged in most of the time, I would set it to Better or Best Performance as battery wouldn't be a consideration. There is a question of value, but that will vary for individuals and needs. Overall, the premium design, cleaner Windows OS, and form factor make this a joy to use.

A solid update to an already great laptop

I have the Surface Pro tablet, Surface Laptop 5, and an older Surface Book 2. This is a great compact option for those who need more power than the Surface Laptop offers and for those who are less concerned with portability. An HDMI port would've been a welcome addition (I'm using a USB-C to HDMI adapter and the connection is a little looser than I'd like). The additional juice from the GPU shines through in graphics-intensive applications. 3-D rendering, Illustrator, Neo4J-Bloom are noticeably smoother on the Surface Studio than my Mac Studio. The tradeoff is that the laptop gets uncomfortably warm if you're using it on your lap. The side vents add to the discomfort, but it's not so bad that you have to move it. The screen can be tilted like an easel or reclined to a 35 degree angle for drawing (though you lose access to the keyboard and trackpad when it's in this mode). The benefit is that you can quickly lift the screen to type something and resume drawing. This is more convenient than the Surface Pro tablet where you have to detach the keyboard to use comfortably as a drawing tablet on your desk. Sound/speaker quality is acceptable. The keyboard is comfortable to type on though I wish they'd use a black background since the letters are difficult to read unless you're using the laptop in the dark (with backlighting enabled). All in all this is a nice addition/update to the Surface lineup and Microsoft offers a Surface replacement program similar to Apple's Apple Care. I've had 2 Surface devices succumb to defective batteries which rendered the devices unusable. The replacement options [at the time] cost as much as the 'Surface replacement program', so unless you make a habit of regularly dropping your Surface devices, most users are better off not purchasing the coverage.

Microsoft isn’t messing around when it comes to getting things done with the Surface Laptop Studio 2. It’s got the latest Intel tech and some heavy-duty NVIDIA graphics muscle. Translation: it can handle anything from heavy-duty work tasks to juggling multiple apps without breaking a sweat. And Windows 11? It’s like the laptop’s sidekick, making sure everything runs smoothly. The structural design is very nice as well. It’s a laptop, but you can flip it into different modes to suit your needs. And the hinge is built for it; this thing can take a beating and keep going. Now, let’s talk Windows 11. It’s like giving your laptop a superpower boost. The Start menu got a facelift, the taskbar got smarter, and multitasking is super simple. Plus, they revamped the Microsoft Store, so finding and updating apps is way easier. The display is top-notch, and the Surface Pen is like a digital artist’s best friend. I’m not even close to an artist but was having a blast trying things out. For an actual artist, you can use this laptop as a canvas for digital art, design, or 3D magic. Lastly, you can even game on this laptio. It has DirectX 12 Ultimate and Auto HDR and the NVIDIA graphics in this laptop are no joke, ensuring a lag-free gaming session. As A bonus, Xbox Game Pass is included. This laptop is kind of insane. It has the speed, graphics, and design to do what I wouldn’t normally need at least two different computers to do. It’s just all packed into one here.

This was a great device but I had to return it because I had too many apple products and it was difficult to transfer stuff from Apple. Additionally, it was too heavy

So nice to use. My hands used to get hot on my old one so this one is a pleasure to use.
