This is the best Surface pen. Despite the various colors, this model of pen is the best that the Suface offers. Great battery life and easy to replace batteries. Make sure you invest in a couple of AAAA (yes, quadruple A batteries) when you purchase, not sure you can get these at your local grocery store.

I bought this pen to use with my HP Envy x360. I can confirm (from my experience) this pen does indeed work with the HP envy, including pressure sensitivity and customizing buttons. The silver color matches as well.

While pricey, this smart pen is fantastic for taking notes. I use a Dell Inspiron 7415 2-in-1, and because it uses the Microsoft standard, it works just as well as the Dell-branded smart pen. It even has a functional eraser button on the top, which the Dell pen does not. It only has one button on the handle instead of two, for selection. The Dell one has two; one for erasing and the other for seleciton.
tl;dr If you can forgive the high price, it's the best smart pen on the market.

Good quality, magnet keeps the pen on the side of my surface pro. Easy to use but a 4/5 when it comes to precision. I used this in college when I would review pdf documents and annotate.

I bought the Microsoft surface book for my daughter and she needed the surface pen to work with.
She is so happy and loves drawing and working on her school assignments.
The pen is a perfect addition to the laptop.

I’ve been using this pen and haven’t had to change the battery since I bought it 2 years ago. I used it in collage to take notes on One Note and now I use it to avoid getting finger print on my Surface when in tablet mode. The shortcut for screen capture is quicker and easier than doing it by mouse.

The pen was very easy to setup with the Surface pro 7. It magnetically sticks to the side of the surface for convenient storage. I use to annotate notes on pdf's during class lectures. There are many other ways the pen can enhance the use of a tablet. Price is a little high, but if it has long life it was worth it.

I have a Bamboo Ink. This is better. It feels nicer in my hand, and the magnets are strong. I really like the eraser/click features. Writing with it feels good. Some software has a noticeable lag-time, but I have not noticed that with Microsoft programs. Writing with the pen on my SB2 is comfortable and fluid.

Overall, wonderful surface pro pen. Works just as well as similar to the Apple pen but for Windows Surface Tablets. No issues so far and it has a feature where you double click it and you can set it up to open any software, I usually set it to Adobe Photoshop to do my graphic design. I believe the tips are changeable, if you do want pressurized tips you'd have to buy a set.

The pen is pretty cool not gonna lie. The surface pen does not require any charging and is magnetically attached to the side of the surface pro 7. Additionally, the pen is pretty handy dandy (I can erase with the back of the pen, woah). I've heard that the tips of these pens break though but you can buy more on amazon if that happens anytime soon.

I like the Surface pen, it is easy to use and it really make taking and writing notes easy. It attaches to the Surface Go by magnetic force makes it easy to keep up with. I think the cost could have been a little more reasonable; or the pen should have been included in the price of the Surface Go 2.

Great product. Sturdy and easy to use. I like it attaches to the laptop case I purchased. I like the color and the material is made. It's not too light and not too heavy. I would definitely recommend this product. My son takes it everywhere and use it often to write on his laptop/tablet.

I bought this for my 12th grader to use with his Surface Pro tablet. He loves it. The color is a match with his keyboard/cover, which red and black combo is his favorite colors. He showed me how he can click the pencil and the drawing screen on his tablet appears to use the pencil. Magic.

I have owned both the Microsoft Surface Pen and Apple Pencil, and both are top of the line products. The Surface Pen's eraser function is amazing, I feel like I am writing with an actual pencil when I am in the middle of the lecture and taking notes. Along with the eraser function, the clicking options is clutch because I can seemingly, without any hassle, screenshot a page or document and it sends the screenshot straight into One Note and I am able to start taking notes. There are quite a few options that you can set your pen to which makes puts it ahead of the Apple Pencil in terms of functionality and customizing options. In comparison to the Apple Pencil, the Surface Pen does not respond as smoothly as the Apple Pencil, but not enough to make a difference. A big difference between the two would be the eraser function and clicker functions on the Surface Pen. A must if you have a Surface Go like myself!!
What an incredibly in-depth review of the Surface Pen! We can tell you spent time and effort putting this together for the community, and we're so glad you did. Thanks for calling out some of your favorite features such as the eraser function, and other side buttons that are so useful on the Surface Pen! This is the second pen that I bought from BestBuy. I lost my other one and quickly missed it. You dont realize how much you use these until you dont have one. I searched online and found some that would work with my unit that were not this brand. Yeah, they were cheaper. But, I owned this pen in black and had no issues. This one I bought less than a month ago and its got issues staying connected, the pen tip already broke. I dont know if I would recommend this. Seems like its a hot or miss with these things. I hate this one and if I had my receipt, I would take it back.
