I've used it a couple of times to take notes in a meeting, I'm not entirely sure it's any better than pen and paper for that purpose. But this is about the product itself. It's weighted nicely, feels natural to write with. The magnet is strong and the pen only pops off the side if it knocks into something. For me, it turned out to be more of a novelty than necessity, but if you really need a pen for your Pro, it works great for that.

My teacher for my online math class recommended to get the actual surface pen and I did and I can see why. I love doing my homework on my surface because this pen is like butter it's so smooth and perfect. I will zoom the screen in when I write because I love how neat it makes my handwriting look, I think that's the key to good tablet writing. Zoom in and write normal, then zoom out and be amazed at how beautiful it all looks!!

Great pen for surface pro

The writing is smooth and the eraser function is handy when taking notes or drawing. Connect to Surface Pro device Bluetooth if you want to access more functions One dislike I have is that getting different pen tips requires you to buy a pack somewhere. The default pen tip is nice, but using the Apple pen feels way smoother. On the other hand, the Surface pen has access to different tips; they're just sold separately.
