Aye dios mio. If you've been writing with your finger on a surface you're doing it wrong. This pen is a perfect adjunct to it. It will replace any notebook with one note. An absolute must for a surface tablet.

Works great on my Surface pro 3. The pressure sensitivity is excellent, it feels and works like using a real pen and paper. Great improvement over the previous pen that came with the Surface pro 3.

Is quieter to write with so no more annoying "tap" when taking notes in class and the various soft tips have an improved feel that more closely resembles an actual pen on paper. This pen is also more comfortable to write with to me since the two side buttons have been moved and I can grip the pen naturally now. The gen 4 pen is definitely an improvement for those of us who take tons handwritten notes!

I had my doubts about it, didn't think it would work well with the Pro 3 and This took the place of the original Pen, so I am amazed it works awesomely well that I am happy to have it.

The surprising thing about this pen was that it works on more than just the Surface series. I had an HP Spectre x360 for about 2 weeks, and the Surface Pen worked great on that device as well. I purchased it open box, to go with my new Surface Pro, since the new pens haven't filled in their inventory backlog yet. It's super responsive, although I can't get the buttons to work correctly with the new Surface Pro - maybe a bluetooth issue, not sure. But other than that, it's a great device!

some how my bf broke the silver pen that his surface came with and so we got this and he really likes this color over the silver one and so far it is 6 months later and he still hasnt broke this one.

I like this pen, it provides precision that the touchpad mouse does not have. I highly recommend to purchase this if you do purchase the notebook. MUST HAVE DONT SKIP OUT

I found the tip wears down but Microsoft stepped up and sent us 4 free tips since we could not buy them. I have found a new pen they sell at Microsoft that comes with 4 different type tips, and better reacting.

I couldn't get the first Surface Pen to pair with my new Surface Pro 4, so while I was waiting for the replacement to arrive I became too impatient and bought a new one. Ok, backstory out of the way...on to the review. The pen paired as expected and works as expected. It came with 4 extra tips which offer various friction levels when used on the screen. I stuck with the one that was already installed on the pen, but it's nice to have the option to change it up. The pen has a button on the shaft which functions as right click and you can, in some applications, flip the pen over and use the other side like an eraser which is a cool feature. Also, you can configure what clicking, double clicking, and click+holding on the eraser end does. I've used the pen in OneNote for note taking and it works well. The OneNote feature that converts the handwritten notes to typed does a good job of transcribing my scrawl to text. I've also used it in AutoDesk Sketchook Pro and am pretty happy with the output. My only worry is losing the pen since the only place to store it (aside from packing it away in a case or drawer) is by a magnetic connection with the surface pro, and it could be knocked loose with a little bit of force. The older typecovers used to have a loop to attach it there, but the new ones don't have that. They can be bought for about $5 and attached to either the surface or the typecover through adhesive backing.

Just click it and see how much this little pen can do. Makes doing day to day tasks enjoyable. I use this at work and I'm leagues ahead of team members after meetings.

This pen works great for using photoshop and all the other drawing programs. Each tip is useful in its own right. I used lowest point to give me the control to do tight sketches and editing since it does not slip across the screen easily. I highly recommend this pen and or pen tip upgrade if you need more pencil/paper type of feel for your surface device. I use it on a Surface Pro 3 so I can't enjoy the higher pressure sensitivity but it works great for me none the less.

I like the weight and feel of this pen better than the older version. It won't pair completely with the Surface 3, but I've read from others that this happens with the older version of the pen also.

My daughter, in Art & Design School, says this pen is 100 times better than the one that came with the her Surface Pro 3. And it has the all important eraser.

At first I thought it was a big joke and wouldn't be worth the money but I use it everyday for my photos and papers and it is a life saver

I lost the pen and needed another one, the first pen was kind of crooked also, but the new one is great and has other tips for different needs. Awesome!

The Stylus pairs easily with the Surface and it works very well. I can use it for everything advertised and I'm constantly learning new tricks with it.

My wife uses this pen frequently. She doesn’t quite use it to its full potential like graphic design or anything. But it suits her well.
