Surface Pro (5th Generation)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just recently bought the Surface Pro 5th generation bundle package at Best Buy and I am very satisfied with this purchase. At a $599 special, the offer was just to hard to pass up. I had reviewed & tested many 2 & 1 type laptops for over 4 months before this purchase and had narrowed down my choices to just a few contenders. The combination of the brilliant 2736 x 1824 screen, the best keyboard I have ever typed on, and the incredible battery life of over 13 hours out did the competition for me. Can't be any happier on this purchase.

As good as it gets
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent computer for general purpose work. I am working with the i7 with 1TB of storage - I bought the Pro 4 with i5 and 256GB and rapidly realized I under-purchased for my work. The good (ok great): Fast - the i7 Surface Pro is significantly snappier than the i5 of 2015. Maybe 2 to 2.5x as fast at standard jobs. I'm running some multi-media jobs to benchmark this weekend and will post a followup. Storage - very fast. Files open and close with "snap". The screen is just as excellent as the Pro 4, and that's what got me to switch most of my computing from a MacBook Air to the Pro line. The screen is gorgeous. The fingerprint reading on the touch keyboard (recommended option) is much faster and more accurate. This tells me that there must be CPU processing involved in fingerprint sensing accuracy as I just switched the same keyboard from the Pro 4 to the Pro 2017. Cooling - I noticed the Pro 2017 just doesn't heat up as much as the Pro 4 at any task. Surface Dock - Truly outstanding accessory. Just hook up the magnetic connector and add monitor, ethernet, sound, and more USB-3 to the job. I use it with a very high resolution Dell display and it's stunning. Mixed The battery - it's significantly longer lasting at the same brightness as the Pro 4 - but I still get about 5-7 hours of useful life. That's at "suggested" or "brighter" settings. I don't use brightest - it's just wasteful. Battery life could still be better, but it is pretty much good enough for my needs. Wish List USB-C. I of course didn't expect it, but Microsoft could have upgraded the USB 3.0 to latest spec and added a USB-C to the Pro 2017. Really, it's not badness (I'm not deducting a star) but seriously why not? All in all, this is more than a solid performer. It's a stylish, good-looking outstanding performer that is suitable for any road warrior or any desk. This is an excellent followup to the already great Pro 4.

If you know your expectations, this is great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the other reviewer, I was first thinking about getting a Surface Go. Then I found this deal for 600 with the keyboard. I am more than satisfied. The keyboard is alcantara(?) and I have had no problem installing so far. This may not be for someone who needs a powerful computer, but for daily use- school work, work, and general surfing and media watching, i think this does the job.

Great for a small laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The surface pro is small but mighty. It carries so easily since it’s so light. Fits nicely into my purse or backpack. The processor is quick and has plenty of memory. So glad I purchased this one.

Not Bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gor it for 600, at 360 discount but my goodness, the tax was 44. I don't know it could be found at that price point anywhere, I buy every major tech product from best buy. Some products have defects, but the service has been great when I had my geek squad protection plan, I should have bought the protection plan for this product, but I wasn't sure if it is something that I would want to keep. I just wanted to try it, and so far, it's quite well. I'm still learning about windows 10 in Surface. I am long time windows and mac user. I can't say that I am disappointed with the purchase, except that hurt my bank balance a really big hit because I am a student and I am not the extremely narrowed to any ecosystem. I got a moto g6, galaxy tab s2 8", a basic Kindle, 2014 MacBook air which is still kicking around though I had a screen problem. I need a second computer, which is why I was hyped up.

A great multipurpose device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to replace a failing laptop and tablet. The Surface looked like a good compromise between the two. Since I am not a power user, the ram and memory have proven adequate for my needs. I don't view the storage memory as a limitation as I keep my files on One Drive. Also a microSD Card can be added if local memory is needed. When Best Buy offered the Surface with the Type cover for $599 the math made sense. So far it operates faster than my 3 year old HP laptop and I don't miss my Samsung tablet.

Good entry level Surface Pro
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does what I wanted it for which was taking it with me during the work week to browse and stream movies and tv shows. Does slow down a little at times but not enough to worry me. Good battery life and not too heavy or big to carry around.

Surprisingly quick for the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had doubts about the Core M3 Intel processor and was going to upgrade to an i5. No need, since I am using this for mainly word processing and watching videos. It's pretty responsive as long as you're not running to many programs at once. Netflix and other video apps look great. I was amazed how bright the screen is, the colors are beautiful and the Keyboard illumination rocks. the screen is a little small but it makes up for it with clarity and brightness. I have no regrets buying this if you are looking for a light weight portable work horse.

VBB Exel Works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a computer that could do VBA/VBB in Excel for my wife's work, she got tired of logging around a 3 pound laptop, This fit the bill. We have Macbook Airs because of the lightness but due to the Scrips in Excel that don't work in Mac, we had to resort to a windows computer. This tablet is light, works with Windows Programs and most important satisfies the need for VBB

Perfect Mix of Table & Lap Top Experience
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're a Windows man/woman, these Surface Pros are incredible. Having the option for both keyboard and touch screen interaction is incredibly convenient. Small enough to carry anywhere, but large enough for a dedicated lap top experience. Best option out there by far if you're looking for something that combines the tablet and lap top experience. Purchase the keyboard and pen if you want to get the most out of it, but even without, you'll love this thing!

Top class!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This just hits all the right notes for me. I had traded in a Surface Pro 2 for an ASUS ultra notebook. After 3 exchanges due to all three defective ASUS units, I decided to pay a little more and get a Microsoft Surface Pro. Instantly glad and proud to make this decision. Very happy with this version of SP. Faster, lighter and prettier than SP2 I had, and much more reliable than ASUS units (disappointments). I will choose MS products (yes, more expensive) over ASUS.

First Surface Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't know it was the m3 version, but it works fine for what I use it for, such as Netflix, Hulu and streaming. I also downloaded a few games and they work fine. Just make sure to get a micro SD card because 128 gigs fills up fast. It doesn't come with a stylus, but the keyboard cover is nice and responsive.

Outstanding and versatile
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've seen many putting down the Surface Pro with the M3 and wanted to provide my input on how this has worked and how I am using the computer. I run a small business and was sick of switching between a full sized PC to run Microsoft Office programs and a table for taking notes in meetings and trying to keep everything synced. I wanted it all in once place. I had been using a Chromebook Pro with the M3 for a few years as my 'tablet' because of the outstanding included pen but Chromebooks do not play well with Onedrive/Sharepoint. The M3 in the Chromebook worked great so wanted to give it a shot in the Surface. The M3 has been plenty powerful to run 5-10 browser window, music streaming, Word and Excel. You can feel the M3 is pushed to its limits when all are in use. Most of the time I'm in Word and Chrome which does not show any signs of lag. I'm very happy with this and will suit those not gaming or running demanding programs.
