I love the size and accessibility. I am still getting used to windows 8 but the touch screen works great, apps are nice. I would recommend getting the actual keyboard instead of touch (its very hard to adjust to). Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

I work in a enterprise datacenter environment as a network engineer. This device is amazingly handy for troubleshooting due to its portability and running a full OS. I also enjoy it at home for very light gaming, reading in bed, and web browsing around the house. Definite improvement over the gen1 model due to battery issues.

Fits my need better than any tablet, only cons about it is the price and the weight. But when you buy it you already know about the weight. It's like a full desktop/laptop where ever you go with more portability.

I use this to do CAD work, generate tool paths and run a CNC machine. It works as well as any dedicated PC and runs all my Windows 8.1 software. Took it on a business trip and it was on non-stop for nearly 5 hours and connected wirelessly to Alaska Airline's Go-Go internet service. I landed with 2+ hours of battery left. It really earned it's keep. It's my go-to laptop now.

I am a Windows tablet user/fan. However, this tablet was too heavy and bulky to hold for an extended period of time. It also ran hot to the touch and the processor was loud. I returned the tablet after a few days of giving it a chance. I previously purchased a Dell Venue 11 Pro, which is not perfect, but I prefer it over the Surface.

I have been on the hunt for a Windows 8 tablet that can easily be docked when I need a workstation and removed for tablet/portable purposes when not. This tablet is the answer to that quest. Others have tried but they were too focused on portability and slim design. Because of their focus the failed to deliver the power necessary for a computer that is a tablet.

The Surface Pro 2 really is the perfect example of what Microsoft wanted to accomplish with Windows 8. It's great having a single device that switches back and forth between a touch/tablet experience and a desktop. I use this as my primary laptop at work, docked, and connected to an external monitor. I then undock, take it home, and use it on my lap while sitting on the couch. The weight is a little heavy for extended holding, but the kickstand works nicely on my legs. This is not a real tablet and I still reach for my iPad when I want one. But it is an awesome crossover machine that offers much more flexibility in the business environment.

Love this Surface Pro 2. This is my second Surface and I have to say Microsoft got it right this time. Battery life is great as well as Windows 8.1. A little on the expensive side - would have liked to see it $100 cheaper or so.

Just like a computer, in small. It's great for meetings.

This tablet is awesome. It totally replaced my laptop.

The Surface Pro 2 has become my work tablet of choce. It is very good at handling the tasks I need for work (e.g., Outlook, Word, Document review and annotation, etc.). On the downside, the app store needs much more development in kind, quality and quantity of app choices.

It works well and all my products and programs work great. Screen quality is great, my only problem is using the edges to touch areas seem too close to the outside. This is probably just my big fingers that will get better with time or I will use the stylus more, I had not used a stylus until now. So to sum up a big learning curve for an old dog like me, but so far I think it is great.

I bought the pc/tablet for my main computer. I was hoping for a portable pc that I could bring everywhere and have great battery life. Well this surface does that. I work with creating music and play video games a lot and this pc does both. Gaming isn't high quality but this isn't a gaming pc. The best part that I like is the less then 10 seconds boot up and all around speed of it. I would highly recommend this pc but would hope the price lowers soon cause it is rather pricey.

My biggest fear was upgrading to OPS 8.1; however, after only a few hours I was able to navigate through and now am totally at ease with it. It's light and easily portable when I'm on the road, and I hook it up to a docking station and monitor at work. It's wonderful!

I am a CAD operator. I have Autocad and Survcadd loaded on my surface. It is fast and handles large files with ease. I can now be in the field and have drawings and make changes without going back to my desktop. No more PDF snapshots on my phone.

The power of a laptop in a tablet. This is what I would expect from a tablet. I can download anything from the net and use it right away or install software from my flash drive. It is slightly faster than my laptop which is a Dell with an Intel core i5. I get a lot of wows from people when they see the features. The only thing that turns people off is the price.

Initially purchased a 128gb Surface Pro, then replaced it with a 256gb Surface Pro 2. Now it is truly a fully functional computer that I take with me anywhere

This computer/ tablet is the perfect combination for work and play. It gives me the speed and the memory to do just about everything I need. And it's lightweight and easy to travel with as I go.

The surface pro 2 is fast. It is fairly capable of replacing your laptop. Just wish it cost a little less.

I use this compact computer to work on my animation projects while away from my desktop PC. Once I got used to the smaller size, working on it is a snap.
