This surface is easily portable, super light weight, and works well for everyday use as a graduate student. It is everything I expected it to be and more.

I started out with a lenovo miix, to save money, not realizing the huge difference between the two machines. I liked it but it was always having little issues, and it pooped out on me right on the 1 year mark and the warranty was barely expired. Lenovo customer service was the worst. So instead of getting another one, I went with the Surface Pro. I cant even tell you how much better the quality of the Surface pro is! From the keyboard and pen to the tablet/laptop, this thing out rocks the miix 10x's over! Hands down the favorite laptop I have ever had! Cant believe I wasted my money on the miix first!

I had the Surface Pro 4 which was ok but the battery life was terrible. This new 6 model is fast and the battery lasts a lot longer that the previous one. Good buy

I have liked the Surface since I purchase a refurbished Surface 3. The Surface Pro 6 follows in that style. It is well-built. The flat, square sides make it easy to hold. It feels solid and does not have any flex like some tablets do. The Surface is heavier than most tablets, but lighter than most laptops (even with the type cover added. With the Surface Pen added this is the perfect device for me. I can annotate PDF's and CAD plans, take notes, use Sketchup, use the full Office Suite or relax reading a net book or watching Netflix. The Surface Pro 6 boots up quickly and with the camera and Windows Hello; accessing the computer is a snap. The stand on this device works wonderfully allowing it to tilt almost flat for writing or drawing or adjust to a more laptop-like angle for computer work. The stand can make working on your lap a bit of a balancing act, but it can be done. The speakers are ok. I wish they had more power sometimes. I have added more memory to mine, but cloud storage makes this unnecessary. There are times that I wish I had purchased the black version, but I could not justify paying more for a color.

I went into the store looking for a computer and a store associate recommended the Touch-screen which i ended up purchasing. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to buy one. Not only is the design sleek, i love the fact that you can use the pen stylet to take notes. The price may be a bit high but it is worth it.

After owning an Apple laptop for many years, I opted for this Microsoft Surface Pro at the recommendation of a friend and it has turned out to be excellent for me. It's thin and light yet sturdy and the kickstand is great as it is adjustable. Paired with the keyboard, it's a wonderful machine.

I'm super impressed with my Surface Pro 6. I've installed SQL Server and Visual Studio on it and am able to work as if it was a laptop. I have a system with millions of lines of code, with around 200 crystal reports, several different third party dlls and the Surface is able to compile and run my application without any hitches.

This laptop is fast and light. Its a pleasure for the eyes.

I am a pianist. My main use of the Surface Pro 6 is to read music for performances. I need the screen to be as clear as possible - something that was not there with the tablet I had been using. I need no wait time getting to a song, and the Surface Pro 6 is fast!

If you buy this with the stylus and keyboard, it makes an excellent mobile platform for variety of tasks. I use it for microcontroller programming and solidworks when I'm on the go. I was surprised by how well it performed. I found taking notes with the stylus to be particularly useful for my classes and projects. Because it's a Windows product, you can use OneNote to take notes on and see/edit them across the platforms that matter. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars out of 5 is because Windows is still a really wonky interface in touch screen mode.
