I use it primarily for mixing music - it is paired to a numark controller. So far it has not crashed (something that happened often with my surface pro 3). I have yet to do any video editing but anything should be an upgrade over the atom processor

Easy to use for us non techy people. Screen is great for color, good graphics. He is going to have a hard time taking it away from us.

Recommend getting a larger SSD if one wants to run Visual Studios 2017 and 2019 side by side.

This definitely does that. I'm able to take handwritten notes right on the Surface without having to carry multiple notebooks around or risk losing a sticky note. It has helped me become much more organized.

Nice improvement over my Surface Pro 4

I'm thrilled. Never thought about returning it. This is the only pc I use. And it can do everything.

As a lifelong apple user I have had one junky PC laptop after another. I expected not to like the surface but so far it has been much more user friendly than expected. It’s very portable and easy to use in either laptop or tablet mode. So far so good.
