I thought the detachable keyboard would be helpful but I’ve honestly never used it as a tablet and it has created issues for me when trying to use it on any surface other than a table or desk.

New surface pro6 is unstable and immature for now. The keyboard cover constantly disconnected from computer. Really annoying issue. Hope mircrosoft solve this problem as soon as possible.

my charger has been acting up for the last few months, sometimes works.... sometimes not, NOT WORKING again... ugh

I bought this laptop to motivate me to use my camera more often and edit photos. Using Lightroom and other editing software is a headache in tablet mode. The user experience is glitchy and feels as awkward as using the desktop version of a site while being on mobile. The laptop to tablet concept is genius, but with the Surface Pro you're just left with a mediocre laptop and a mediocre tablet. I recommend just getting a tablet or a laptop. So sad I can't return it anymore ):

The computer went through the boot up perfect then it went online for the update and crashed. Non responsive after that and I had to return it. I decided not to buy that computer. Best Buy service was very fast and made the return and refund very smooth. I will buy from that store again just not that computer and that configuration.

Its quality is not so good. The type cover malfunctioned after a few weeks. Microsoft service center found that it was the main body malfunctioned and only replaced another refurnished one for this over $1000 product (not really brand new one). I will definitely not buy any of this kind of Microsoft electronic devices in the future. Better to get Dell products instead.

When I bought this, right out of the box (after updates) I was installing a lot of software. The Surface had slowed down to a crawl and I started getting the dreaded blue screen of death. Disappointed to say the least and about to head back to return the thing. Then I did some research and found the "Microsoft Surface Diagnostic Tool", which I promptly installed (highly recommended, BTW). The tool went through, checked hardware, reinstalled some software, even checked the Windows install. That took about 10 minutes. Now the Surface is screaming. So enough of this.... The thing boots up in seconds, especially with face recognition. Apps open in seconds, everything is very fast for a low power i5. Not much in the way of heat on the back like previous models. Pen works great (I wish MS kept the old desktop version of OneNote, but the app still works fine). Very powerful for an all-in-one that is more than just a tablet - it's a full blown Windows machine. Only one big complaint. Battery life on this is not as described. Even after adjusting my power settings, I'm lucky if I get 5 hours of battery time. All I have open is Edge, maybe Excel and maybe another app. Even tried reducing the screen brightness, which helps a little but that's not something I want to sacrifice. Hopefully MS will respond to this.

it went bad after using 3 month, you would think it would last at least 3 years!!! wondering if that's covered by warranty?

This is a great computer! Easy to use, lightweight, and perfect for students!! I have the arch mouse and pen, which is a must have to make this a great experience! I definitely recommend it for students, every day use, and business needs.

I bought this in December 2018. Its been 3.5 years and this laptop still runs smoothly. Very light and looks beautiful.
