This laptop is absolutely amazing. I have been on team apple for over a decade. This laptop is the size of my iPad Pro 12 Inch and packs a lot of power. I use this more and more and love it the same. It's a true small portable computer packing a lot of power.

Having used both laptops and tablets in the past, I wanted to try something new.
The Surface packed both the screen size and power, along with the duality of a removable keyboard for tablet usage.
With an Intel i5 chip and 8 gb of ram, it offers enough performance to do everyday work and media usage. The 128 gb SSD and the slot for extra storage, it's more than enough to keep all my files in one place.
The keyboard has a nice feel to it and is very responsive. The screen too is quick to the touch. Although, I hope they plan to up the screen response time in future models for better fluidity.
All in all, a great everyday use laptop/tablet hybrid for work or media usage.

Love it! Using it right now actually. It's compact and easy to travel with, but yet powerful enough to use as my primary laptop.
Speedy and very capable of handling multiple functions at the same time.

Great 2 in 1. I have absolutely no complaints about it. Love that it has a pen to write on the screen. I use it in school to take notes with. Fast, light weight and easy to use.

I absolutely love this tablet! I was in the market to replace my Windows laptop but wasn't sure exactly what to replace it with. This does everything my laptop does and more. Its incredibly fast. Total setup time was about 15 minutes. It is very intuitive.
I am currently using MS Office products and I am able to use adobe for designing graphic art projects like logos, t-shirt etc. (this is where the pen comes in handy)
The deal I got at Best Buy included the keyboard and I purchased the pen separately. Everything work seemlessly.

Things I like -
Works great as a tablet or laptop.
Fits in my backpack
Keyboard
Display (movies and pictures) are great
Fast so far
Easy to start-up and get signed in
Backlit keyboard
Things that I don't like (because of it's higher price point)
Heavy for such a thin machine
POOR battery life, can't be charged via USB
Power cord has a brick (smaller than most but still a brick)
Sound is ok but not great, probably cannot use it in meetings, would need a speaker
Some apps will not fill the screen, like my Kindle app, it only fills up a slice of the screen, very annoying when I'm used to reading full screen size page.
You have to double tap app icons to get them to open
Hard to read in bed in tablet mode. (maybe there's a fix but I haven't had time to investigate)
Would I buy it again? Not sure. It's not as convenient size-wise as a regular tablet.

Compared to the iPad, the surface pro 6 is now my preferred option. Having Windows 10 running on a tablet is quite amazing. The keyboard takes time to adjust to but I use it just as much as I use the tablet mode. The 2in1 design is near seamless. Running an app like photoshop in PC mode then detaching the keyboard to get more comfortable in your workspace still doesn’t get old. No lag in performance yet while doing various tasks. I edit high pixel images and have been amazed by how well the processor holds up. Having this kind or power and portability in a design that’s so slim is just what I was looking for.

Powerful enough to be your daily driver, but versatile enough to take with you wherever you go. Touchscreen, lightweight, Windows 10 paired with a pen/mouse and you will be super productive. Battery life is stellar for light use. Keyboard occasionally glitches if it gets knocked around.

Best Purchase For My Field Techs

My Field Techs needed a lightweight pc that has the power of a laptop, but not the weight of one. The Microsoft Surface Pro 6 has proven it's worth and is invaluable! My tech's are more productive and there has been no failure, glitches or errors. It runs apps and video seamlessly with no lagging. The pen feature is very useful and the write to text saves time and makes writing more legible.
This is my first time implementing Surface into the workforce and I'm sold! Microsoft has come a long way with their products and I plan to implement more products into my business.

Easy to startup, easy to use. Urban Armor hard case and screen protector are a must because it could be easy to damage if dropped. Works great with mouse, touch screen or mouse pad built into keyboard. On of the best things about it is that the charging cord and keyboard almost connect thems selves. You get them close and they are pulled right into place. No more searching to figure out if they are oriented right. Only slight negative about it is that the strap to hold keyboard closed does not work well. It is too small.

I bought the Microsoft surface pro 6 with Black Keyboard when it was on sale for 799 dollars plus tax. The store also sells used/opened devices for cheaper, but I wanted a brand new one so that I don't have to keep thinking about when it will breakdown or what was wrong with it that the people gave it back, etc. So when I opened my brand new surface my face lit up. the screen is extremely clear and bright everything worked perfectly. I loved that I could touch the screen while the keyboard was attached and also navigate using the keyboard tracker as well. I really don't know why the all-black surface is so much more expensive than the silverback one but if you got that kind of money than by all means get all black. I personally don't mind the silverback. I do wish that this had a type c port though. while I watch youtube for about 3 hours I do notice it getting a little hot but then it cools down. The keyboard is also not bad. It's my first time typing on that type of keyboard and it feels weird but the keys are crisp and strong the keyboard itself is not that strong since I beileve it's made from a fabric or something. But your getting a laptop that has Intel core i5 and 128gb with 8 GB memory so I think its a really good deal.

I had a Dell 15" laptop that was weighing me down at school. I became interested in digital notes taking to help reduce the weight of my backpack. I got the Surface Pro 6 few weeks ago. Yes, it definitely helped to lighten my load. Note taking is awesome. There's a couple things I don't like. It gets hot. When it gets hot, it freezes the screen/ creates a delay. Sometimes when I switch from tablet to laptop mode, the area where the tablet keyboard would go on the screen acts like there is still has a tablet keyboard displayed. Therefore it leaves a blank gap across the bottom of the screen. I have to change back to tablet mode, open the screen keyboard, close the screen keyboard and put it back into laptop mode. Other than that, I like it. There's other features I want to explore, like the digital drawing app.

Using Sketchable to draw and paint. Because Surface is computer, can use software like Blender 2.8 Grease Pencil for animation. I do not expect it to render 3D particle systems! Have gaming computer for that.
Enjoyed watching Netflix in bed on vacation.
Took to interview to show copyrighted proprietary examples of work that I could not post and share a link. Been using OneNote to write (not type) plans and take notes on video tutorials.
Little learning curve using pen, Dial and keyboard or pop-up on-screen keyboard. Really fun once you set up preferences and get the hang of it.
Touch pad mouse on keyboard sorta loud in a cubical setting but can touch the sceen instead.
Starts up quickly using facial recognition and need same glasses on or have to use password.
Using a head band to keep pen attached even with it magnetically held on to edge.
I bought to get personal work done after 9 hour work day in a cubicle without firing up bulky laptop at a desk: perfect!

Small learning curve to learn differences between laptop and tablet mode, worth it. Fast, sleek and a joy to use. Much lighter than my 5 year old laptop. Excellent display. I am extremely pleased with this unit and would recommend it to anyone. It was on sale and included keyboard which works perfectly. Replacing another computer, give this a shot, you will not be sorry.
