I purchased this tablet to use in my real estate business and it has been absolutely amazing. I only have to charge it every 2-3 days, and it’s fully charged within an hour. I usually have it hooked up to my home/work WiFi and when those aren’t available I have it hooked up to my phone hotspot and it still works perfectly fine. I was going to purchase the mouse, but having the keyboard and pen I really don’t see any use for it. It also has the option for facial recognition to unlock the tablet or you can go with a traditional password. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the sound could be a lot better than it is.

I needed a Tablet to work remotely I always buy ipads but this time I took a chance on the Surface Pro, and I was pleasantly surprised! Screen size is great, very responsive and its perfect for work, I also use it for Netflix and Apple TV. I am really impressed with this surface, especially since I can use it as a tablet and a laptop. I am pleased with the weight and size of the Surface, I will definitely will be trying more Surface products in the future.

When faced with the challenge of having to purchase a new laptop, I was skeptical. I did my research and decided on the Surface Pro 7 and boy did I make the right choice. Reliable, fast, easy to use, hand held features for my reports. All around best purchase I have ever made at Best Buy

Where to start... What an extremely disappointing device. Microsoft for some unknown reason installed the slowest NVMe SSD in the latest Surface Pro 7. As seen in the attached screenshot the drive is slower than even the most basic Sata SSD. After owning Surface Pro 4, 5 and 6 models the Surface Pro 7 is a serious step backwards. The included usb-c is a nice addition however it pales in comparison to the overall bad quality of this product. The screen is pretty good with bright vibrant colors however if you use it with the brightness above 50% it will drain the battery quickly. To summarize my experience with the latest Surface Pro 7 i5 model with 128GB drive - MEH If you decide to purchase the latest Surface Pro 7 make sure you get the 256GB model to get the proper NVMe speeds.

This is my second surface and I still think it's a great machine. The screen is very sharp and the whole system is very light. You can count on it always having the latest version of Windows which you know has actually been tested on the hardware. Now with USB-C which can be used to charge the battery it can be connected to almost infinite number of peripherals. The runtime of the battery is pretty good and I'm hoping it lasts a little longer than the one in my last Surface (3 years)

This laptop was a purchase for mys sweet mother, a woman who was previously record-breaking typist and extremely tech saavy for her generation. Unfortunately, she suffered a life-altering "catastrophic brain hemorrhage" last year that rendered her nonverbal (official diagnosis of apraxia and aphasia, for those who may be familiar) and paralyzed on her right side of her body, which means she has no use of her left arm or hand. Thankfully, she's naturally left-handed. Even so, using a standard keyboard and computer were nearly impossible once she completed rehab and returned to a home setting. There is a great deal of mourning when one loses their former independence due to a sudden injury or medical event like stroke or brain injury. Oftentimes the injured or disabled person misses even the most mundane independent activities such as being able to pay his or her own bills or even access their bank accounts, social media pages or even a photo album online (because let's face it, our entire lives are online.) Like so many others who have survived life altering injury, my mom missed her connections to the world as well. Most of which also takes place online via social media or over video chat. Isolation is dangerous company to keep. So I set out intent on helping my sweet mama regain a bit of control over her own life, despite her many new medical challenges and communication-based disabilities. My goal was for her to regain some autonomy. That decision led to the purchase of the Surface Pro. In an effort to make it as disability friendly as possible, I set it up her home screen with shortcuts to her favorite websites, personal banking accounts and then links to an internet radio station and multiple streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, amazon prime) that I customized with her favorite artists, songs, and TV shows. I also set up each shortcut so that the login screens for each account self populate with her username and passwords. She doesn't go anywhere that I would anticipate risk of someone stealing or hacking her device, but for an added measure of security, I utilized the surface pro's awesome facial recognition login feature. Which she loves, because it prevents her from the requirement of entering a password to login to her laptop. I purchased a stylus and synched it to her new device and she uses that handy pen (magnetic so it sticks to side of laptop when not in use so she won't lose it) for most everything. As you might imagine, I was overjoyed l stopped in to see her a few days ago and she showed me that she was able to pay all of her monthly bills online, independently, using her new Surface Pro. This is a "first" since her injury happened just over a year ago. This is a big accomplishment! In summary, if you or a loved one is facing similar medical or physical challenges, you may want to consider this laptop/tablet combo to accompany your journey toward independence. EDIT: I realize I may have overshared, but if perhaps this information helps another caregiver or a brave individual who is fighting to reclaim their life, it was worth it.

Really happy with my purchase, so far. I also purchased the hub that attaches to the side -- it's made specifically for the Surface Pro 7; it's a great add-on ($40). I have only three "issues" with the Surface (they're not deal-breakers): 1. It takes a little getting used to but the "screen" is heavy relative to the keyboard. If you're used to a laptop (the keyboard being heavier), you have to be careful when you use the Surface on your lap. 2. The 4 arrows located in the lower right-hand corner of the keyboard: The keys for the left and right arrows are way too small. They should have used the trick ThinkPad and others use. Look at a ThinkPad keyboard and you'll see what I mean. 3. The magnetic attachment of the pen is a good idea but given the price of the pen, I would not walk around the office with the pen attached to the side. It would have been much better if the pen was inserted into a hole on the side of the screen and clicked into place like they did with the old Compaq digital assistants. As I said, these are not deal breakers. Overall, this is a great machine, and I'm glad Best Buy offered it as a bundle.

I’ve been using Macs for three decades now and this will be the second Windows machine I’ve owned. Last one being a desktop with XP on it. I’ve always preferred Apple for their design, build quality, and the integration of software and hardware. I never got that feeling with MS until this. I wanted something for work that was small, portable yet powerful enough to do the job of a stand-alone laptop. This worked perfectly. It has everything I need for work and I’m not missing anything that I would use on my Macs previously. Build quality is excellent. The design is very beautiful and the software has been very capable.

My Surface Pro 7 (SP7) had its first blue screen within 30 minutes of the first boot. I hadn't installed anything yet.. I did all the updates and now its having multiple issues. 1. Another Blue screen 2. Random shut off while in use 3. Flickering black screen for periods of 20-60 seconds 4. Slow wifi 5. Sudden stuttering in games that should be a breeze (Diablo II/starcraft 1) about 30 minutes in that continued until restarting. 6. Terrible battery life from advertised. See screenshot attached, the speedtest can never get over 80 megabits on my 400 megabit connection.. and most of the time its between 1 and 20 megabits.. meanwhile my cheap old Chromebook gets the full 400 megabits. Because of the small hard drive (why?? on such an expensive device..) I need to be able to put stuff on my network drive.. but the wifi card is working so poorly its not usable. The battery lasts at most 4.5 hours at 50% brightness - which is using chrome and some YouTube. It lasts as little as 2.5 hours while gaming with brightness up high. It is amazing to me these don't ALL come with keyboards because windows 10 is not there yet with touch support.. several games or even websites I have visited required me to go snap on the keyboard. I love the form factor and really like the kickstand.. so I will return mine and hope for one with less issues before giving up on the surface pro. For now.. I don't see the value and I don't see the reliability/quality. I suspect only some of my issues will be resolved with a replacement. Then there is the long term reliability forecast.. the thing is glued together so you cant replace the battery or hard drive easily and the RAM is soldered to the board.

I had been trying to get a laptop for school because I wanted to use it to take notes. I am a little old school and I also enjoy taking notes in my old notebooks but it was time to go digital. It has been super helpful with my classes. It is well organized, I have all of my three classes in OneNote and I can access them from anywhere. I'm in an engineering program and it also runs the programs that I need to run.

The Microsoft Surface line is a great line of thin and light laptops. Now, they are certainly on the pricey side and are 1000% a luxury item, but if it is a luxury you can afford, I find little I like more. Now, in my family we have surface pro's going back to the Surface Pro 2, a Surface Pro 4, and Surface Pro 6, and Surface Pro 7 now. All of them still work well and present little to no issues for any of us. That being said, our laptops primarily act as moderate daily drivers for low level productivity and web consumption. For me, it is my secondary computer, next to my high powered desktop computer. For what I need/want a laptop for - it is perfect: something easy to bring to work that I can access all my important files on, access web services, and watch youtube.

This tablet replaced my Surface tablet that died after 5 years that died when the battery overheated and died in the tablet. Everything works great and there haven't been any changes since my last one so I'm happy about the familiarity of the unit. I only wish that Microsoft would figure out a way for the tablet to use a USB port for power like other brand tablets. The brick power source makes it a little unwieldy compared to my other tablets that I own and use for other purposes. The ability to utilize my full suite of Office products is great as well as the screen size are the major reasons why I use this tablet for business purposes. Overall I'm satisfied but do wish the price was more in line with other tablets as it is pricey.

I bought my surface at the beginning of the school year and now have it for about 8 months. I chose the 128GB instead of higher storage options because I was able to integrate one drive and so saved all my files without using the actual storage. For online classes, I must say that it is very capable and it is light and slim. The 1080p webcam is excellent compared to my MacBook pro 720p webcam. Along with the Microsoft pen, I find the experience to be even better since I am able to write on certain pdfs for teachers. It can be charged with a USB-C cable which saves more time. One downside I been having is that sometimes it simply does not turn on and would have a glitching Microsoft symbol on the boot screen. I would usually need to hard shut down it by holding the power button and that would resolve the problem.

I had been reluctant to try Windows 10 - only forced into it because TurboTax no longer supports Windows 7 - of which I have 3 trusted computers whose software won't be compatible if I upgraded those machines. So I bought this MS Surface Pro 7...and I love it. The keyboard is great, I attached a mult-connector USB so now I can use that to connect a mouse as well as thumb drives. The tablet is very responsive and user-friendly+. I did have one big problem, however. When purchasing the tablet, I also purchased MS Office. When I installed it I could not get Word to spell-check or grammar check my docs. I called MS support and they spent two hours online, on my machine via the Internet and fixed the problem, without charge. They went above and beyond to make it right. Also, since I already had a Webroot subscription due to my Geek Squad membership, BestBuy also sent me a link so I could install Webroot on the tablet, no problem. I'm happy with my purchase, but even happier with BestBuy and Microsoft for the support they gave me.

I’m an avid Apple used. From iPods to MacBooks and iPhones, my boyfriend convinced me to get this instead. I bought this is August 2020 and so far it holds up really well. I mainly use it for work aside from having a movie playing the background. Aside from that this surface pro has not given me any issues at all. 5 stars would’ve been given if the charger that came with it lasted longer. It began giving me issues in Dec 2020. Literally I would wiggle the port and take it apart for about 20 minutes. I honestly thought I broke my tablet because it’s my source to work from home. I can’t really drop it in for repairs if it was the computer. The charger is bulky but honestly I wish the charger to last longer. Aside from the charger the surface pro is wonderful. I’m not a big fan of Microsoft products but this tablet is perfect. I would recommend to anyone who works from home but just uses it for work only.
