My First Tablet, needed windows OS

I'm happy with it, it runs a little slow but I'm an intense multi-tasker. It can NOT handle more than VERY casual games that aren't graphics heavy, however streaming movies and tv shows are BEAUTIFUL! It does run warm pretty quickly, and the battery life hasn't been very good, but again that's because I'm an intense multi-tasker, when I'm only doing work or class (web pages, teams etc) the battery life is much better. Oh and it's much heavier than I expected! Standby time is great, love the type cover (connects magnetically), took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out the stand. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, it was on sale for just under $700, still a bit more pricey than I think it's worth but I needed a windows OS for portable quick working. The charger is magnetic which is great, 1 regular usb, 1 usb-c port. Would love to try out the surface pen but they are currently $100+

A very handy and compact windows powered tablet PC. Compact and handy to carry to any classes and runs most of the software a typical windows PC can. A very capable device for a student or a professional. The tablet and the type cover combo was a great deal in my opinion.

Microsoft should have a recall program for this Surface laptop. It constantly crashes, it has happened twice during a zoom meeting. Not reliable for working. I will have to ask for a replacement.

Best tablet on the market for the money

I can't say enough good things about the Surface Pro 7+. I'm glad I waited so long to actually jump into buying one of these. I needed an ultra-portable tablet/device that still allowed me to do everything that I can do on my home PC, without losing any productivity while I am away from home. It took little to no time to set up and begin using. Thanks to Chrome for having profiles that share bookmarks and passwords across multiple devices and Microsoft OneDrive for giving me the ability so access files across the devices as well. The keyboard is very smooth and feels fantastic to use. I can open this up and the Windows Hello unlocks the tablet extremely quickly, without the need of typing any password. I can do my work quickly, close it, and stow it away until I need to use it again. The built in LTE is useful while on the go as well. Haven't used the expandable storage, but having the option for the future is tremendous. Battery life varies, as it gives you options for optimal performance, or longer battery. I personally prefer to have optimal performance, thus giving me about 10-11 hours of realistic battery life. I used the battery saver mode and I got significantly more, but I do not need that much battery, as I am only on the device for 20-30 minutes at a time, in short bursts. 10/10 product, will be purchasing another one for my fiancee to use for her productivity on the go as well.

Excellent Windows 11 tablet & good value bundle

A fantastic Surface and a great Windows 11 tablet. The Surface Pro 7+ has the latest 11th Gen Intel chips and removable SSD just like the far more expensive Surface Pro 8 but is better in some ways. SP7+ includes both USB-C and USB-A ports, has magnetic pen attachment on the side of the device, uses the traditional magnesium case, and is compatible with years of existing Surface peripherals. There could be an argument that for some people the SP7+ is a better choice than SP8 even if the price was the same and SP7+ is often on sale for much less making it a great value. SP7+ with i5 is also fanless and totally silent. It is capable of running office (and Office) apps with ease, and the value of the Surface and Keyboard cover bundle is hard to beat. Battery life is good (not great), the screen is fantastic (even if the bezels are a bit large), and the device is solid as a rock. Speakers are surprisingly pleasant sounding and loud for such a small device, Windows Hello face recognition is lightning fast, and the webcam is much better than 90% of laptops out there.

    Good portable computer

For the price, it is a very good portable machine that allows having a tablet and a laptop in one compact package. Pros: The screen is very good. You won't find a display of such quality in any other Windows laptop under $1000, let alone for $699. It is also light and relatively comfortable to hold even with one hand. The keyboard is surprisingly good for an attached keyboard, with good travel and comfortable typing. 11th gen Core i5 in paired with 8Gb of RAM makes all basic operations fluid and doesn't annoy with freezes or stuttering. There is no fan, which might be positive for one and negative for another. It definitely throttles when under heavy load and gets noticeably hotter. So no, it is not a powerhouse. But being fanless means it is completely silent. Cons: The traditional laptop is going to provide a better "laptop" experience though, especially when used on the lap. The configuration of the tablet with a stand + attachable keyboard doesn't make a stable combo on the lap. And for a tablet, Windows provides an experience inferior to Android and iPad OS. it doesn't feel as snappy as tablet OSs. I was hoping to use it for note-taking, and I heard a lot of good things about using Surface for One Note. But I was disappointed with the pen performance, specifically with its very noticeable lag. In the end, I decided to return and go with a laptop and a tablet. I still liked the Surface a lot, the device itself. It is just you really have to get used to the device and change your habits and accept the not-ideal laptop/tablet experience for getting a convenience of 2-in-1

    Great for Business Trips

When I go on business trips, I have to take my work laptop, and I typically took my heavy gaming laptop with me. My back started to get sore due to the weight of those in my bag. I bought this to have a lighter option for personal use that would allow me to watch movies on the plane and do any personal actions I wanted to on the business trip. This fits the bill. It is extremely lightweight, which fixed my first issue. After extending the memory using the micro SD slot, I'm able to download as many Netflix videos as I want for the flight (which I do). I've taken this on two trips now and have found no limitations in completing any personal actions I wanted. Finally, if you are worried about the battery, I wouldn't be. I just took an almost 3-hour flight last night and still had about 60% of the battery remaining after streaming movies using the plane's onboard entertainment website.

I'm very happy with this purchase. It's the Microsoft Surface pro 7 plus. i5 with 128gb internal memory. I put a 512gb sd memory card in. I play starcraft in HD and Starcraft 2 on Low graphics and they play great. I can't stand dragging my full size laptop around and this is perfect. Comes with a nice light up keyboard also. The Wifi only model that I got comes with the sd card slot. The model for people who want 4g cell model doesn't have a sd card slot it has a sim card slot only. Yep this is a really nice option if you don't need to play triple a games on high settings. It can play games though just it's limited of course. Videos look nice and front facing speakers sound good. Screen looks very nice but I am used to OLED screens on all my other devices which are the best looking screens. I love using windows more then other platforms.

Wanted a new laptop to replace my almost 6 year old laptop that was really doing less of the job I needed. Starting a new career and needed something portable and effective. Looking at tablets and laptops, I wanted something that would give me the best of both worlds without blowing an excessive amount of money. This has been and will exceed my needs with all of its capabilities. Biggest plus is, I’m able to add a SIM card to always have connectivity. Seeing as I know I will always have wifi during my courses I’m not too concerned about not getting a newer model. I’m able to download every program for work/ school I need and that’s what I needed it for. Touch screen is a huge bonus. Definitely recommend.

I got this for my brother for work to be able to take to job sites and draft plans and ideas for customers in real time. He can use the office suite to create bids and when he gets home and puts it back online it syncs up with his desktop. Easy to set up and use. I got the pen and a docking station and the pen is very smooth and real time responsive so issues at all.

Microsoft Pro purchase / Best Buy

Excellent on line experience, When picking up, I missed the very short pick up deadline by one day. I was directed to the person who checks out all online purchases and asked him if I could still pick up the computer, being that it was only one day, they still had it on their shelf. I was told by him that I could not pick it up but rather, I would have to re-purchase it online. I decided to talk with those in the computer department and it was a matter of minutes before I received my original purchase. Kudos to those who know what they’re doing. I purchased three of these Surface Pro computers for Christmas gifts and have one of my own. I’m both an Apple and PC guy, but when I started using the Microsoft Surface products, I have no intentions of going any other direction. So far, I love those products, especially my Microsoft Pro Book. As for Best Buy, I would rate most all of my experiences excellent, with the exception of this ill informed check out dude.

A full fledged computer in 1.7 lbs. (sans the type cover) with the exact same processor as the NEW Surface Pro 8 and you get the type cover included. Why Microsoft decided to abandon the fan less design is beyond my comprehension but my upgrade from the Surface Pro fifth generation was an easy one for me. Best Buy's $330 discount was to good to pass up and I got a familiar Surface that's up to date. I'm happy!

I love this laptop, I upgraded from Pro5 to this, it is easy to feel the difference in speed. I love the fact that it has USB-C finally, with a single cable I can charge it and display to a larger monitor, then use that monitor as my USB hub for more ports! I didn't even unbox the power adapter, saving it for trips only. As always, the laptop has an elegant design, it is light and sturdy at the same time.

    Best Surface and Windows Device

    Posted .

Love this device, the USB-C port which you can use with any adapters allows for a lot of versatility and the performance of this device is outstanding the new Intel Wi-Fi 6 chip works great without any speed performance problems like the previous Surface Pro 6. This device has a removable SSD on the back under the kickstand which is great, you can upgrade the SSD in the future all you need is a sim ejector tool and a t4 screwdriver to remove the SSD the drive is an m.2 2230. Overall, I would definitely recommend this device for students to anyone who likes to take digital notes or who needs a portable device for on the go use.

I needed to replace my 1st Gen Surface Pro (purchased in 2013). I made this purchase because of the ability to upgrade the storage (SSD). Currently I am using a 512 Samsung Pro Plus microSDXC but will be upgrading the SSD soon. I don't plan on doing any gaming which is why I chose the surface over others (i.e., MSI, Acer, HP, etc.). I currently use my surface pro 7+ for productivity (MS Office, web browsing, etc.). I made sure to purchase a tempered glass screen cover as well as a Kingston Rugged Case via Amazon.

Overall, I'm pleased with this device. It is a laptop not a tablet so tablet related apps will not work on this device, you will have to download the PC version, if one is available for all apps. Outside of that, the speed is great, load time is excellent. Additionally, the fully USB port allows me to connect to a docking station and connect to monitors and other peripherals as well, without purchasing more cables that have a USB-C/full USB connecting ends.

Just a Surface Pro 7 but with swappable SSD and the 11th gen Intel processor. It the best of having a tablet but also having a full Windows environment. Keyboard and trackpad is better than I thought it would be for the size with nice tacticle feedback on the keys. Screen and speakers are also fantastic. I'm rather picky and I don't mind using this to watch a show or two on the couch. So far the battery life has been excellent. The i5 is passively cooled which I enjoy but I wouldn't game too heavily on it. Although it does seem to punch above its weight in that regard for basically being a tablet.

Absolutely BEST tablet purchase I have ever made. I LOVE it. As I haven't been a big fan of tablets in the past, I am over the moon with this one. It's easy to navigate, has enough ports for my needs, and allows me to move seamlessly from my desktop to my tablet. Coupling the keyboard with it has completely made my laptop a needless component.
