It's lightweight, which is great. It's fanless, which makes it much nicer to use than most laptops. The optional keyboard works almost as well as a traditional keyboard. It's occasionally handy to be able to use the touchscreen, but Windows 10's tablet mode is really weak, so I just use it like a traditional laptop most of the time. A growing number of ~2lb fanless Windows laptops are coming onto the market, I would consider them before buying a Surface Pro again. They sit on the lap easier and the keyboards are a little nicer and sturdier.

Haven't had it long, seems good though. It's a cpu, which I'm used to, so it's good there. Not great with a tablet, but getting used to it. Only downfall is battery life, few hours it gets a little low watching videos. Also a little warm as well, stop using it though it cools off in a few minutes. All and all I'm happy.

I like the versatility of it and the lightweight of the device. Great for traveling!

This is a new unit to replace a Surface Pro 4 that has experienced the dreaded swelling battery syndrome. I understand that Microsoft would take replace the battery for free for units less than 3 years old (beyond the 1 year warranty), but mine was 4.5 years old. Loved the old one, so I just went with a new one. Pretty much the same as the old one with various incremental improvements under the hood

A few years ago I purchased an Apple laptop and have no complaints other than the way Microsoft Office runs on it. The time came for me to purchase another laptop, and the Best Buy employees once again steered me in the right direction by introducing this device to me. It has been life-changing. It’s portable, functional, fast, serves multiple purposes, it is very convenient overall. I’ve recommended it to several of my coworkers, family members, and friends.

LOVE the new Surface Pro 7. I had the Surface Pro 3 since it came out but decided to upgrade so I could have one for home and one for travel. It's so lightweight! So user friendly even for a non-techy like me. Easy enough to setup. I did get a little help from Geek Squad, which by the way if you don't have-IT'S a must have. The techs are always so helpful and patient. I can't say enough about how wonderful and helpful they are.

Love this laptop. Clarity is great and loads really fast.

I am taking rigorous classes, and I needed a device that I could handwrite notes on during lectures, but that I could also use as a laptop for labs. This Surface Pro 7 is the perfect combo. (This is coming from having to use to use a phone, iPad and laptop for studying.) I also don’t have to worry about the hinge breaking after much use like other 2-in-1 laptops experience because the keyboard attaches magnetically. However, it does heat up quite a bit after I use OneNote.

This is my second Surface Pro. The size is perfect and it is a very flexible and capable machine. The upsides: Lightweight good size sturdy construction runs windows charges via usb-c and the microsoft adapter Downsides: Keyboards are expensive (I used mine from the surface pro 6) You can't upgrade anything battery doesn't last as long as it did on my SP6

Lightweight, fast and easy to navigate. Belive price point should be around $600.

I'm not an enthusiastic Microsoft user, I mostly use Linux, and I've been avoiding products made by Microsoft, but I must confess that I'm very happy with this Surface Pro, the performance is better than I expected. The screen resolution and the precision of the screen are excellent similar and maybe better than an iPad. I would like a battery that lasts longer but considering the i5 processor, the battery might be appropriate. I still don't like using Windows too much, but given the nice hardware, I'm willing to sacrifice my OS preference. There is still a weird and annoying sound coming from the speaker when the volume is too high, it is like a wheezing sound, I believe the speaker is not too powerful to handle high-quality sounds. I would improve the speaker if I had the choice. Finally, if this helps, it is important to mention that I'm not using my Surface Pro for heavy tasks like data analysis, sound mixing, or video editing. I use it for reading, checking emails, writing articles, keep my pdf library updated and watch Netflix and other streaming services. But, I believe the Surface Pro could handle the estimation of simple statistical models or some simple video editing.

Overall I was scared of using this since I've never had a tablet, but let me tell you. This is such an AMAZING purchase I've made. I love how it peforms very smoothly and is easy to carry around. As a graduate student the Surface Pro is amazing to keep with yourself since it provides a lot of good apps and is very nice. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

I needed a compact computer that can function for both work and school. This device hits that sweet spot. It’s swift for productivity functions. I even stream sports events on it when at work. It works flawlessly. I was so impressed with the performance and functionality of the device that I purchased one for my wife as well (the I3 w/type keyboard Best Buy deal).

This is not my first Surface Tablet and I absolutely love it. It is sleek and black and runs great. I wish they were a little cheaper since they work best with expensive keyboards and pens but Unfortunately that is the price you pay I guess. I do suggest buying a protection plan with them to help protect such a large investment.
