Only had it for a few weeks, but it works great. It replaced my old SPro so I’m very familiar with this series and love the smaller, lightweight and reliable operation these units are know for in the industry. And yes, for the price you pay it should come with a keyboard, pen and mouse, but it is what it is.....

I'm using this full time for work. I was concerned it wouldn't be able to keep up with everything I needed it to. But it does! Little fan runs alot, but that's ok as long as it keeps working! Processor is quick. I am using alot of accessories with it and they all collaborate good together.

I had the original Surface Pro when it released, and was a big fan of it despite it's growing pains. So when I had the chance to try the Pro 7 I decided to go for it.
I got the 10th gen i7 with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. The tablet was very responsive and didn't really had any lag in any use scenario.
Opening some programs took a little longer than I am used to on desktop (NVME), I expected the Pro's SSD to be faster since it is proprietary, bit is was only adequate.
The pen experience in unparalleled, in my opinion. For drawing and note taking it excels. I also found myself using it for simple browsing tasks as well.
The keyboard is good, not great. If you work on your lap, the device is not balanced very well, and reliance on the kickstand for stability means you'd have to use it very close to yourself (so it doesn't fall) or swap back to tablet mode.
If you plan to game, look elsewhere. This is not designed for that purpose, as it does not have a dedicated video card (get the newer Surface Book 3 with dGPU if you really want one capable of gaming 'some')
The new Iris graphics in the iGPU are impressive for what it is. I was able to play card games and emulate android games fine. But AAA games (unless older and minimum settings) are a no go. If you have a gaming desktop, you could always use Steam game streaming to the Pro. While that works and looks great, the 3:2 aspect ratio makes it tricky and unreliable in game streaming.
I would recommend this tablet to anyone doing art or photography. It is also good for note taking and general office use.
The 4 core i7 could also be good for a bit more demanding tasks. But if you really need a powerhouse of a machine, you might be better off looking for a 6+ core desktop replacement laptop (or working remotely off desktop).
Overall, very happy with my Pro.
My only gripe would be with Windows 10. You will have to mess with settings a lot to customize it into something useable in tablet mode. It works great, but takes a little getting used to, as menu options and general operating of "tablet mode" differ from what most are used to on Android / iOS. If it seems confusing at first, stick with it. It is rewarding once you get it down.

Only got this because it was on sale, but it's since become my primary work computer. Lightning fast, as expected. The Microsoft Surface line never disappoints in performance and portability.

I’m replacing my surface pro which is about 3.5 years and was starting to have problems. I use my computers very hard, so I got the estimated life out of my last one, but was hoping this one would feel more like a significant upgrade. It certainly is an upgrade, but nothing I would consider significant. I’m not trying to detract from Surfaces, because they are absolutely awesome, it’s just I didn’t feel this was a huge upgrade over my previous one. My business allows me a work budget to purchase any computer I want, and I consistently get these surfaces. I have a book 3, a laptop 3, and this Surface 7. I use all of them in some specific capacity or another - my Book is constantly docked and runs like a desktop at my office, my laptop usually sits by my bed for emails and going over work material, and my Pro is used for travel and doing trainings. I love that all of my devices share the same cords, and also the information is backed up between them through OneDrive. While there are more powerful computers out there, the Surface line is ideal for business.

This is a great 2 in 1 laptop or tablet ....or whatever you want to call it. This laptop does the job especially when I'm using Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop. It pretty much can handle anything I throw at it. I have the I7 256GB version. Sound is good...battery life is good and the Surface Pen works great on this Surface Pro 7 laptop as well. And make sure you buy the keyboard also that's a good addition. Definitely will recommend this laptop.

Good price for a more powerful tablet. Upgraded to more RAM and bigger SSD. Works great. No more lag while video conferencing and using other programs at the same time. I like that it can double as a desktop or a tablet. use it for reading on the plane, never have to shut it down. Light weight lots of storage and you can add an SD card or switch out multiple SDs for different storage

After exclusively having iPads for tablet needs for 8 years, I decided to try the Surface Pro. My problem was that I needed a laptop, but wanted a touchscreen. I'm not a big fan of 2-in-1 laptops, so I found a good deal on the surface and went for it.
So far, so good. The newest generation includes a decent hibernation feature, so it turns on quickly. It's powerful enough for any productivity apps I need, and because it's full fledged Windows, I can put an program I need on it. I even tried running Sea of Thieves just see what it looked like. Not good, but it does run!
I removed a star for a several reasons.
- While the kickstand is great, it prevents it from resting on your lap comfortably. Really only a problem for me if I do work on it.
- It's heavy, for a tablet. Not the most comfortable to hold and use to surf the web or read.
- After being asleep, it takes a while for it to reconnect to your network. Hopefully something that can be resolved with a Windows update.
The positives outweigh the negatives, though. Especially with the accessories. While I don't like that they're sold separately, well, pretty much every "premium" model from any company is similar. Apple finally copied the keyboard, which is my favorite part of the setup. Since I got a returned model, I could afford to invest in all the accessories. The keyboard and pen are the best, the mouse is OK.
To sum up, if you need (or just want, and can afford it) a tablet that can double as a very decent PC, the Surface Pro is a great way to go. But, if you just need something for entertainment purposes, I'd say iPad and Android tablets are still king.

This is my second Surface Pro. I bought one of the original ones about 5 1/2 years ago. It was time to upgrade and the decision was easy to get a new one. My partner and I both use these for our business and it does it all. I also like the small footprint as it is easy to carry around but still very powerful. Great design.

This is my second Surface Pro. My first one still works and has been all over the world but my spouse has claimed it, Surface Pro is great for travel, it is light and takes up very little space in your carry on as compared to a regular lap top yet it does everything a full size laptop does. It does not have all the USB ports or the RJ45 port for a wired connection to the internet but this can be overcome by getting the accessory adapter which has extra USB ports as well as a RJ45 port to connect where wireless is not available but a wired connection is.

My husband bought this because a program he uses only works with windows. For being a windows product we like it very much. It’s light and very portable. I like that you can use the keys, touchpad, your finger and the pen. There aren’t very many covers for them, but hopefully they’ll come. The size is good too. As an Apple fan, I find macs to be way easier and intuitive though. Had to say that.
