Upgraded to this model after having owned the Pro 4 for a number of years. With Zoom classes and multiple media programs running, the Pro 4 just wasn't able to keep up and was often freezing momentarily or having to be rebooted. I had also almost filled the 128GB of memory the Pro 4 had. Thus far I'm very happy with this upgrade, the processor is definitely beefier and the 256GB memory should be more than sufficient for years to come, especially since I plan on using an external drive for my home media solutions. I do think the type cover should come with, and I had to wait quite a while to get one with fingerprint reader from Microsoft. The major frustration came in moving my data from my Pro 4 to this one. It seems ridiculous that there is no wired or wireless option to simply copy files and preferences from one machine to the other. Cellphones have this functionality available and they typically have much less data and preferences to move. I certainly wasn't going to pay Geek Squad or another service to move the data for me, so I just backed up to an external drive and copied the data over. But that does nothing about my preferences. About the only thing I didn't have to setup was my wallpaper, which indicates Microsoft knows this is a feature people would want but they're uninterested in providing it. Otherwise, this is a great multipurpose tool for students and small business purposes.

this machine is a fantastic computer. Its really not a tablet that competes with the iPad but as a compact laptop it blows the MAC away. Powerful, fast and jam packed with features. From the instant on to the expandable storage I couldn't be happier. My business applications do require I use windows so I am biased but it does perform extremely well. The battery is lighter than advertised but for me it's not a problem.

Updated from a Surface Pro 4 and finding the same exceptional Surface experience--lightweight, dependable, a real work horse during this work from home time. The pen function is a must have in the remote world.

This version works very well, fast and efficient with architectural programs. Easy to care for places, nice designs to keep in your office.

This is the fourth Surface Pro I have owned. All have had the I-7 processor. This is a great alternative to a Laptop. And because it has the power and features of a laptop it is way better for business use than an I-Pad or any other tablet (I have a couple of them also). One issue I have faced with my Surface Pro's has been the graphics. The graphics on this one seems to be a little better than my previous version, I would have difficultly with it during video-conferencing. It seemed it could not handle both (I would end up sounding garbled. On this one I still experience it, but it only on rare occassion. Having had three previous Surface Pro's, one other thing to note is that the batteries lose most of their life after about three years. Replacing the battery is not for the do-it-yourselfer. So figure this will have a three year life span. That is about how often I would get a new laptop anyway, so for me it is not an issue. You can continue to use it, but you will need to plug it in or have an external battery handy. The plus side of this is that compared to a laptop it is much lighter and easy to carry around. I use it as my everyday computer and usually with an external keyboard. I like that I don't have the laptop-type keyboard in front of me (in addition to my full-size wireless keyboard), thus saving me space on my desk. That said this will probably be my last one though. I used to travel a lot and the size and weight made it really great for travelling. But not so much now. So I don't think it will need to spend the additional money.

I bought this computer for work and needed something that was easy to travel with and long battery. After reading all the reviews it seemed like this computer was the right one for me, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s easy to use has a long battery life and having the option of it being a computer or tablet comes in very handy when working. Will definitely buy this agin

I've had the Surface Pro for two years now and I love it! It has great to travel with and slim too it is easy to fit just about in any bag. The screen is a perfect size not too small. The only thing I would change is the brightness, I like my computers/laptops to have the option of high brightness and I wish I could make it even brighter. My eyes tend to respond better to bright screens.

Ordered online, had the surface shipped to my house. Service was excellent! It arrived 2 days early, Good updates from Best Buy as to order status. The Surface Pro 7 (second surface pro for me) works as advertised. I teach online classes and use it for work. Added an after market hub for a large monitor for long work sessions, and the extra ports for my external Hard Drive, mouse, keyboard and some items are blue tooth and that saves on needing an extra port. Got a good deal on the Surface Pro, My son is getting one as well. Highly recommended.

Great computer and great price. My son uses it for college and for other projects. He has installed several applications and the computer is fast and efficient.

Everything I expected. I’m able to multi task with no problems. I like the face recognition. I also purchased the wireless mouse, pen and keyboard. it all works smooth. The programs I use require plenty of horsepower. I’m not a gamer, but I think this would do gaming very well. I’m able to run extra monitors also. It has a port for downloading pictures from a camera card. Touch screen is nice. Bluetooth and WiFi.

I love the surface pro. So convenient having a fully powered windows computer the size of a tablet. Works great, can even handle some light gaming!

Bought this Surface tablet for my daughter to use at school and work. It is durable and fast with the solid state drive. She takes loads of pictures for school and work and this is a great device for all the storage and editing she does. With it's light and compact size it is easy for her to carry everywhere she goes. Fits in a medium size purse she uses for everyday use.

Machine runs like a dream so far. No complaints about its abilities, only thing i would critique is that id like the battery life to be a little longer.
