I finally turned back around, returned the 7+ and purchased the 8, and have never looked back. Amazing laptop.

Customers need to know that the surface pro 8 has a different port than the pro 7. My original purchase was a 7 and they sold me a keyboard for an 8. Long story short, I could not find a keyboard for the 7, so I returned it and got the Pro 8.

During that time frame it was great. I loved using my surface. Sad to say the protection plan doesn’t cover fires. Best Buy wants you to bring in the device to replace it.

Touchscreen. Compared to my SurfacePro 4 this one supports Win 11 and the 4 didn't. The sound is much better, the display a bit clearer. Have had it for a week or so and it is working great.

If you can afford it I would recommend getting the 16gb RAM version. The Screen is beautiful. Fantastic to finally have thunderbolt. The intel Iris Xe graphics are good. The new slim pen II is worth the upgrade.

Screen is fluid at 120hz and using it with touch is great. Shame that the pen and the keyboard are nearly $300 extra. This computer gave be BSOD every single day I used it. During Zoom meetings, it crashed. During web browsing, it crashed. During photo editing, it crashed. Battery life? It's around 4-5 hours with my average use, while it advertises 15+. It's a ridiculous move by Microsoft to even try to sell it as a Macbook or iPad competitor. Can't recommend this product, it's way too expensive.

I would definitely recommend this item. You do have to buy the key board and pen.
