This device is a delicate flower and not robust enough for intended use. I am extremely careful with my devices. The second time I went to recharge the device, it was pulled off a tabletop by the weight of its charger. It now has damage in the corner of the screen in the form of a black spot. It is not covered under warranty and not returnable. This is one of the few instances where I might recommend insurance if you purchase. It is still usable, but I am reminded of the problem every second I use the device. I would consider what happened to be ordinary wear and tear and not abuse. A laptop should be able to withstand something like this.

I took this computer back. There was nothing wrong with it but just after I purchased it Best Buy put much better equipped pc's on sale for the same or even less money than the Surface. It pays to watch what Best Buy puts on sale.

Caught this on sale when I needed a new laptop. Always liked the convenience of the Surface. Use it as a tablet, laptop, or plug it into you docking station for the desktop experience

At first, there was a problem with the keyboard not making a connection but we returned this item and received another and that one is working perfectly. We love this device.

Microsoft has developed a complete solution for portable computing. The only trade-off is a little extra weight. The new mouse is also a nice detail, flattening for packing and storage.

Has been great for the use I purchased the surface for. Provided keyboard is a little cheaper than I would like so I will most likely upgrade.

I had a surface pro 4 and it was starting to give me problems after many years. Was able to catch this surface pro 8 on sale during black Friday

This Surface is very sleek and nice, the only down side is the battery life, I can fully charge it, close it and left it for a day, then when I open it back again is down to 80%

I brought this Surface Pro 8 while going through some early “Black Friday” deals at a fairly good price. However I come to find out this was not the same product in a featured unboxing video in the product page. It doesn’t include the Surface Silm Pen and the Surface Pro Signature Keyboard that the pen needs to charge. Furthermore the standard Surface Pen is still not included and cannot attach magnetically to the Surface itself which is a real shame. Microsoft went the “Apple” route with these new Surfaces with accessories…

This excellent laptop and work very well.the sound is very good and easy to type on per my daughter since she is using it for college

Very convenient for a college student. I can use it as a tablet when I take notes or a laptop when needed. Highly recommend!

Works perfectly. Really like the flexibility of a tablet that functions like a computer.

I needed a replacement for my old Surface Pro that I could understand and use. This product met my expectations.

Flimsy compared to a traditional laptop. You really need to use this on a desk or tabletop. You need to use the kickstand to hold the back up, and if you move, the tablet part separates from the keyboard. The power cord magnets are extremely weak. It is constantly unplugging. If i had to do this over again, i would not have purchased this.

Great combo tablet/laptop. We are using these with the Surface dock to eliminate desktops!
