    It gets REALLY hot when you have it plugged in and running something big. Besides that, everything is fantastic. It runs games that the Pro 3 couldn't.

    Mainly use this laptop for on the go project. So far the battery life is pretty impressive. The thunderbolt ports are great as I can use external GPU on it when I am at home.

    I was very sorry that I sold my older Surface Pro and bought a well known laptop that after a few updates kept freezing up on me. I'm now a happy camper again with my Surface Pro 8.

    So I’m an iOS user. I had to buy a windows based device for work and decided to get this. Other than the pains of re-learning a new environment, I can say that it’s a treat to use the new surface. The build quality is great - there’s no paint or annoying stuff that would scratch off, the screen is large and bright. The RAM is just enough so you’re not experiencing any lag with regular work tasks - I can Zoom, take notes and take screenshots without a problem. Battery lasts about 6-8 hours without charge depending on the brightness of the screen.

    This is a great 2 in 1 tablet/laptop that works perfectly. Only downside is the price for the amount of internal storage you get as well as the extra cost for the keyboard/pen, which are necessary to make the device worthwhile.

    The Surface is a thin, lightweight, powerful machine. The battery lasts "long enough" but is nothing remarkable. One of the coolest aspects is the Thunderbolt 4 and the ability to connect to external GPUs.

    This is a great computer that successfully replace both my iPad and my MacBook Pro. The lap experience is much better than some have said. Using the slim pen 2 to draw is also great. The only issues I have are that the port selection made it difficult to get this set up with a good dock (thunderbolt 4 docks are rediculously expensive) and it's difficult to prop the device up vertically due to the position of the kickstand and the fact that there are buttons on both sides.
