I purchased this for my daughter to use for nursing school to replace an older Surface Pro 3 that was no longer capable of keeping up with her heavy work loads. She loves how much faster and lighter it is. She was able to easily transfer all of her documents through her windows and Microsoft account which made set up a breeze!

I originally had a Surface Pro 2. My son bought it for me and I used it in my degree program. I loved it. When I needed more I got cheap and purchased laptops and went that route for years. I am so glad I returned to the Surface Pro 8. It is light and portable and keeps up with all the tasks I have to get done as an executive of a non-profit and a business owner. I took back a star because I'm not thrilled with the battery life and it would have been nice to have a USB slot for my wireless mouse. I was able to purchase an adapter but it was an additional cost. Overall, love being back to the Surface Pro, though.

simple amazing however the keyboard included with this item CANNOT use the new slim pen 2. so if you don't want the slim pen 2 its perfect fit. I had to buy the signature keyboard. battery life last a long time, it never gets hot and I am always on it.

I got this for college as my graduate program had to have a convertible computer to a tablet. Before this I had a macbook and ipad and all i can say is the surface pro is not great compared to the alternatives. It constantly lags. My biggest problems however are usually between the computer and the surface pen. between a $80 pen and $1000 computer you would think that it would work pretty well? wrong. my first pen wouldn’t write on the screen after 2 months even though it said it was connected. The second pen I have just randomly won’t work the the computer and I have to completely turn my computer off and back on for it to work again. When i’m in class trying to take notes this is extremely annoying. Best advice is to go with a different option if you want this for school.

I absolutely love this computer. It is not the easiest thing to use in your lap if you are typing on the keyboard, but I almost always either use it on a desk or table when typing. It is fantastic for streaming media while travelling.

Love the new design. Screen is great for watching Netflix. Great travel device. The only negative to me is it gets uncomfortable in your lap after awhile. The back that props device up digs into your legs..

    Blue Screen of Death

Let me start with the positives: This things is light, it's fast, it looks amazing. I would not recommend purchasing this 2-1 computer if the blue screen of death bothers you. Once a month is too often for me but this has been happening daily. I have a high-end gaming laptop that is 2 years old and (knock on wood) but I have never had the blue screen happen on it. I purchased the Surface Pro to replace my Surface Book 2 because my Surface Book was repeatedly getting the blue screen. Maybe Microsoft machines aren't built to run Windows 11?! Who Knows.

This device is the perfect size and it's powerful enough to manage a companies software. I purchased this so I could access our software from anywhere. I use it from boardroom meetings all the way to our inventory warehouse. All works perfectly fast and efficient.
