I purchased this as an upgrade to my Surface Pro 3. It had served me well and this Surface Pro 8 is terrific,. Great little carry along computer.

I love this machine. I am used to using windows, and this is like having a laptop that you can use as a tablet. The only negatives are that it is a bit expensive, but I got mine on sale with the keyboard, so it was a pretty good deal. I bought a stylus and I've used it for taking notes and am really satisfied. The hard drive could be larger for the price, and to use the keyboard you need to be on a desk.

Light, reasonably fast, very good design. You can remove the keyboard, move it to the back, and the tactile sensation of the keyboard is good, plus it has a mouse right in the middle. Monitor is also very good. Since the tablet/laptop is so slim and lightweight, I added a rugged case to it, so the corners are also protected. I already have it for more than a year. Battery life is also decent.

I absolutely love this computer. It is not the easiest thing to use in your lap if you are typing on the keyboard, but I almost always either use it on a desk or table when typing. It is fantastic for streaming media while travelling.

Great work from home tablet PC. Screen is bright and clear. Sound is great. Works fast. Keyboard track pad could be better, I have trouble with the right click sometimes. Overall great and recommended.

Didn't have it long as I upgraded to the Surface Pro 9 as soon as that one came out. Nice machine for the $$ but tough to compete with the later models.

I use this for mostly Microsoft office type work and public speaking. For me it is practical. I like the screen size. It may be a bit expensive for a computer that I wouldn’t trust with gaming or video editing. But, for what I do it has been useful. It would be nice to not have to prop up the screen.

I originally had a Surface Pro 2. My son bought it for me and I used it in my degree program. I loved it. When I needed more I got cheap and purchased laptops and went that route for years. I am so glad I returned to the Surface Pro 8. It is light and portable and keeps up with all the tasks I have to get done as an executive of a non-profit and a business owner. I took back a star because I'm not thrilled with the battery life and it would have been nice to have a USB slot for my wireless mouse. I was able to purchase an adapter but it was an additional cost. Overall, love being back to the Surface Pro, though.
