Searched for a suitable PC to replace a Toshiba laptop purchased at Best Buy in 2014. To the Toshiba's credit it still runs just fine but is simply out of date overall functionality-wise. The Surface Pro 9 is a perfect upgrade for the following reasons. Dimensions are perfect for my frequent travel - 11in wide x 9in high (13in diagonal). And at a 1/4 inch thick it feels more like a large tablet than a PC as far as feel. With 16GB RAM and 256 GB SSI (Solid State Internal, not a mechanical HD hard drive), storage space is adequate, and even better with the additional CRUCIAL 1TB external storage drive (SSI) added to the mix. The Surface Pro 9 has only two ports, both USB-C, which I connected one of to a J5 Hub, also from Best Buy, and which provides the ports for an external LCD monitor, speakers and USB ports for the External SSI storage drive and another 32GB thumb drive. In essence the Surface Pro 9 eliminated the large (and heavy) foot print of the Toshiba lap top and simplified the peripherals connections to create a clean uncluttered desk top (literally). Also, my skepitcism about Windows 11 has been replaced by admiration. The Surface Pro 9 with Windows 11 is a drag strip racer as compared to the horse/buggy speed I endured on the old Windows 10 Toshiba lap top.

I was hesitant about switching from a traditional laptop but this works just as well and is much more portable, which I've needed. Battery life feels decent. I'm glad that unlike a tablet, it has two usb-c ports, though I still went and got a usbc hub so I could plug in old-school flashdrives and HDMI. The keyboard is light and works well enough, though I do miss the heft behind traditional keyboards. I got used to the smaller screen size (compared to my old 15inch laptop) and can easily plug into a monitor when Im at my desk. I haven't used the touchscreen much yet but appreciate its existence. Overall, I love the versatility and portability while still getting the full power of a traditional laptop. To me, that was worth the investment. (For background, I am a graduate student in science and use my computer for school, entertainment, coding, Excel, and Microsoft word/powerpoint. I often have many tabs and excel sheets open along with figures and code)

I always loved Microsoft's Surface family and have had a Surface since 2017. The quality of screen in this model is outstanding as well as the performance, it really feels like and i7. Very responsive and the battery live is pretty decent. I recommend this machine, specially for business travelers.

Easy to use, Lightweight and long lasting battery.

Great 2-in-1 computer. This computer is very fast and does everything I need it to do. From programming in Visual Studio to checking e-mail I get everything done quickly and painlessly. Plus it didn't have tons of unnecessary software preloaded on it.

The Surface Pro products have been great, and this new one I got is perfect for travel. It isn't a gaming machine or for super productivity, but the size is perfect for a college student that needs to do class work and poweful enough to run most software they'll need.

I work in construction and this is great for use out in the field or in the office. It’s lightweight and easily fits in a backpack for travel. It’s also easy to connect to a monitor for the times you need a bigger screen when you have the doc 2

Surface Pro 9 has larger, brighter screen and lots more memory than the Surface Pro 2 that I am replacing. Also, like the SP2, it is noticeably lighter weight than laptops usually are. I'm looking forward to using it.

Excellent for travel. So flexible for quick usage and battery saving. Very fast. The core i5 is perfect for all general use without a heavy drain on the battery. Boots up fast with face id. The package from Best Buy that included the keyboard saves $$.

This product is awesome! I wasn't sure how it would perform as it's technically a "tablet" and not a standard laptop, but it definitely exceeded whatever expectations I did have. With the keyboard, it feels like a normal laptop in both in use and in performance. The keyboard is attached magnetically, which feels sturdy when connected but comes right off when you want to take it off and use as a tablet. It is truly seamless to switching between use as a laptop, tablet, and/or traditional trackpad scrolling vs just touching the screen. Battery life could be longer as I generally have to charge it each night before I'm done but this is also with frequent use throughout the day so you do get pretty much a full day of work out of it. Highly recommend if you're on the fence about it!

Love the overall size of it and easy to use as a laptop and ipad and with the pen as well. Its very compact compared to other laptops and easy to carry. Battery lasts a long time and display is great.

Upgraded from a Surface pro 3 to the 9. For my needs (internet browsing, MS office and streaming apps the Surface 9 more than does the job. It is light, portable, great battery life, the speakers are surprisingly great!

This Surface Pro 9 is an amazing two-in-one product. I got this Surface Pro at a great price during a promotional sale which included the keyboard. It worked flawlessly until I had it stolen out of my car. For the short time I owned it, it was a great product and I would highly recommend.

I love my new Surface Pro 9! It's an excellent little computer. Very versatile in terms of the functions it's capable of performing and I really love the fact that it's a tablet moonlighting as a computer. Never once felt unnatural or odd to me and it works very well. 10/10 would definitely recommend... and pretty pleased with the competitive pricing offered by Best Buy.
