After experience with excellent Surface Pro 3 keyboard (now downgraded to just "good"), I had to purchase this with Surface Pro 4. Surprised at how much improved this keyboard is over it's last-get sibling. Better in every conceivable way, including trackpad and key travel. Happy that this works backwards with the Surface Pro 3, half tempted to replace the older keyboards with this new model.

Bought this for my 'travel computer', a Surface Pro 3. I recently upgraded from the Surface Pro 2 (and it's keyboard) and really like this one. It's a bit larger so it feels easier to type with (although I didn't really have issues with the SP2 keyboard). However, this one feels more durable and I like the backlit design. Like other reviewers, the only reason I would give it 4 stars is because it's quite a pricey add-on, although it is pretty much necessary to use the SP3 or SP4 as a true tablet. I would have appreciated a bundle discount (even at just $10 or $20).

Great design. The magnet to add tilt to the keyboard while typing is a great added feature. Easy to type on, and feels as good as a full sized keyboard.

Wow! Microsoft really stepped up their game in creating this type keyboard. It is incredibly thin, and it does a great job with my Surface Pro 4. I had a touch keyboard with an old Surface RT, and I've used older generations of the type keyboard, but this one really knocks them all out of the park. I use it frequently, and I can type at or near the same speed as a full-sized keyboard.

Nice product, protects the surface and a reasonable keyboard. It is lightweight and automatically turns off the surface. The keyboard is not outstanding but the compromise is more than adequate. Is easy to use and works well with the surface

Very nice keyboard. I love how easy it is to connect to the Surface Pro 4.

Product does what it is designed to do, , and a very good job at that, I just don't use it as much as I thought I would , to justify the price.

The new Surface 4 Type Cover is a subtle, but vast improvement over earlier generations. The keyboard is just plain laid out better. The size has not changed but the use of space is much improved. The keys are spaced out a little more, raised slightly, and have better feedback than earlier type models. The mouse pad is now glass and increased in size. It is more responsive. No longer will you have to worry about having enough space to drag and drop. I highly recommend getting the new type cover even if you are upgrading your surface and are thinking to reuse an old cover.

This is light weight and very smooth! I love this with my surface pro 4!

Key spacing is great. Love that keyboard lights up. It's all I expected.

Easy to use and comes in many different colors. Fits perfect in my lap.

This detachable keyboard for the Surface Pro4, and I believe the Pro 3 is a very sturdy product. ]It's comfortable to type on, the touch pad is responsive. The keys brightness level is adjustable, from very bright to just barely visible. The magnets are strong, and the keyboard will attach and detach almost on its own if you get the keyboard even close to lined up.

The keyboard feels great and was easy to use. Would recommend if planning on buying a Surface Pro. Only drawback is it's hefty price tag.

Nice color, overpriced (should be $50-100), wrinkles at the sides, mouse pad a bit too sensitive, and not as good as an Apple's keyboard.
