A keyboard is needed for the surface pro but with the fingerprint sensor it's next level handy. With kids I don't have a ton of time to finish up work or surf the web during the day so I often do it at night in the dark and the facial recognition doesn't always work. The fingerprint sensor makes quick access just a touch away. The backlighting is adjustable too so it helps conserve energy. I'm very satisfied with it!

Love the features of this product. Seems a bit more quiet and fluid than the apple keyboard. Its seemless to remove without sticking and the fingerprint security is nice especially when using out in the field and having so many people walking around.

I'm typing this review on this keyboard right now :) It works great and is very lightweight. These keyboards used to come with the older Surface Pros but now with the newer ones need to be purchased seperately.

This keyboard where do i start, i was originally worried because i have big hands and used to deeper indents (mechanical keys) but i am still able to fly on this keyboard without any mistakes and love how it folds up as a cloth/cover when done.

Glad I added this to my purchase of the Surface Pro - magnetic attachment, fingerprint ID keeps me from having to enter a password - no worries about someone looking over my shoulder., or the kids getting into my laptop.

The Surface Pro Keyboard was purchased as a replacement for my original keyboard which died after years of use. The Plus for this keyboard is the Fingerprint ID capability.

My first ultra-portable isn't disappointing. I use it for work, for play and for kicks. The keyboard is an essential ingredient in this mix and so easy to use and connect.

I bought it to replace my previous keyboard and saw this replacement with a 'fingerprint id reader" feature. It was easy to configure on the Win10....and that is the best login feature that I like to use when working in the public.

Decided to get this backlit keyboard to go with my recent Surface Pro 6 I purchased and love the tactile feel of the keys, YES the backlit feature, the touch pad and also the feel of the material when typing, resting, etc.

Love this little keyboard. The keyboard attached to my Surface Pro no longer worked, and instead of buying a new Computer, I purchased this and it works like a charm!

This product suits me as per, I'm not a big fan of facial recognition technology.....This keyboard offers a highly responsive fingerprint scanner with no issues.....keep you updated if any problem experienced.... Amazing product!

The type cover feels really solid. The thing snaps in really easily into our Surface 7, and feels like what I would want out of a portable keyboard. Highly recommended!

I purchased this keyboard for the fingerprint Id but after setting it up I was disappointed that my IT configuration does not allow Biometrics as a password/security option, but we are going to work on that and try to get them to allow it. Hopefully it works!

as a keyboard, like any of the Type Keyboards, it is fantastic. the bio (fingerprint) recognition is not as nice as other fingerprint technology (like you'd find on mobile phones). not sure if that's a Windows thing or a hardware thing. Still an excellent addition to my Surface...more colors please?
