Good, solid keyboard.. easy to type and great for transportation

This product is easy to carry around and store away in just about any bag, purse, backpack. It’s slim and light weight! Love the velvet soft feel to the keyboard, plus it’s aesthetically pleasing.

This is a very good cover. The pen recharges and ive had no problem with the pen accidentally falling out. It is back-lit. The attachment to the surface is strong ie it does not fall off when dangling from surface. It feels and looks very high quality however i cannot comment on its longevity. The notch where the pen is held does create some weirdness when you've got the cover folded back n the surface sitting on top of the cover. But im nit-picking. The main reason i did not give it 5 stars is the same issue i had with my previous type cover: it is not wireless. I wish Microsoft would make these covers bluetooth connectable.

Great keyboard. Not a fan of the color. Lighter than it appears in the picture. Afraid of it aging prematurely. Returned this and replaced with the black keyboard.

It came in great condition and is good quality. I think it is worth spending a bit extra for the pen although I would highly recommend buying open box. My only annoyance is that the trackpad click is quite loud.

I put off getting a Surface Pro for many years awaiting a slightly larger screen and finally pulled this plug on the 8. I was concerned I'd have difficulty adapting to a smaller form factor from a 15" especially since I'm a guy with larger hands. All I can say is WOW. I LOVE this keyboard. It is the perfect size, comfortable, durable, well lit and honestly easier because the smaller size has decreased typing stress because less movement to reach the keys compared to my full size laptop (which I haven't touched since I got my Surface Pro 8. Track pad is responsive and the best I've used anywhere. A great feature is the stylus compartment so I always know where they stylus is and it's charged when I need it. If you have any concerns about it, set them aside and feel confident purchasing this. FYI, you can get a Microsoft Protection plan to cover just the keyboard it you want.

I bought this to use with a Surface Pro 8. It works really well most of the time. Every now and then I connect it to the tablet and the keys and touchpad don't work. I have to disconnect and reconnect - usually a couple of times before it works properly. The pen is a different story. It works every time and works so much better than the pens from previous Surface Pros and even better than the one on the Surface Pro X. I love the feel and feedback.

I love the keyboard and pen combo. The pen stays tucked away and charging. And the keyboard has excellent travel. I like the gray, but preferred the colors of the older type covers. But that is simply a matter of taste.

A MUST if you have an MSP. The keyboard is incredible and the backlighting feature is phenomenal. The pen is also a must and the package deal is ideal.

It works great, I can't imagine using a surface pro without it. I love how the pen has a place to put it that feels very secure.

I love the fact that this not only houses my pin but charges it as well. Saves me the money usually cost me to lost pens!

Good keyboard, I don't know why it's so expensive, but it's good. Best Buy was okay, the shipping and delivery service (Fedex/UPS) was HORRIBLE, really HORRIBLE.

BestBuy had the best price on these accessories for Surface pro tablets at the time I purchased it. It stays connected to our surface pro very well and the pen is magnetized and stays in place when not using. I bought a high end Surface Pro model to use as a laptop substitute for my wife and these accessories are working well for her... haven't heard any complaints.

Microsoft has pretty much perfected the key feel, providing good feedback and depth. The lighted keys are very easy to use at night and the 3 levels of backlighting are a nice touch. I've had several of these keyboards over the years, having owned every Surface Pro since the Pro 2. The biggest issue I have with each and every one of these is the noise of the trackpad depress "click". It's quick loud in quiet places an can be quite distracting. While you can tap it without depressing it for many mouse-click functions, it should be designed for a quieter operation. Microsoft has touted the extra strength of this new generation keyboard, with its use of carbon fiber, but to be honest I can't find it much sturdier than past keyboards. I do, however, like the slim pen and it's integration into the cover. Great knowing that there is a much lower likelihood of losing the expensive pen now. I don't use the pen too often so don't mind it's flat shape/design. Overall, a nice combo - works well with my SP8. I wish the trackpad were quieter and the price a bit lower.

This is very beautiful. Love the look and feel of it. Completely matches the Pro 8 Platinum. Purchased it for my granddaughter going off to college.
