Saved me from buying a new laptop. He was having issues with it loading up. Purchased a new hard drive for it, that didn't fix the issue. Put the original hard drive in and installed Windows 10, that fixed the problem. My son doesn't have any issues with the laptop booting up or lagging.

It recognized my windows7 pro OS and gave the option to upgrade or do a new install. The upgrade went smoothly with several reboots needed during the process. After the upgrade, I only had to update one driver for my older scanner and replace a USB3 PCI card which was not compatible with Windows10. Much easier than doing a new install.

I like to build my own PCs, and when I include this in the build, it always throws my budget off when compared to a pre-built. But custom builds are usually better quality and performance, so its worth it. Packaging was really neat, it came with a nice little thumb drive with the image loaded, and a key card with a removable sticker with the key.

Installed without issue, no complaints yet

W10 is different from 8/8.1. It took me awhile to get used to 8.1, but this should be not as bad navigating and adapting than jumping from XP/7 to 8.1. I think my initial reaction was more directed at W8. Once 8.1 was out, I was good. As for 10, I have no complaints. I may edit the review (if possible) once I dive deeper into the full functionality. Its a slick design update, for sure.

As a bonus it comes with a usb drive preloaded with the windows files you can use to boot and install for a new build.
