    I purchased ALL 5 version of Windows 7, to make sure that I would not be forced to use 8. I Can't Stand 8. Any time I have to use a machine that is an 8 machine, I go directly to the Desktop. If you have a touch screen, then it is almost tolerable, if not, 8 is a pain.................... Why Microsoft went the App route is beyond me, it's OK for the phones, works well there, But not on Work or Business computers. Not even my home units will ever have 8. Now if they make a system that operates in both the Menu & Desktop version OR the Apps version, Users choice, then I will move on up with the rest of the world.

    Had trouble installing windows 7 64 bit on my desk top because it was running XP 32 bit. Ended up formatting the hard drive wish I could figure out a way to install windows 7 on my new laptop, its running window 8.

    This is a system builder/OEM version that can only be installed to and cannot be transferred from the original computer. Otherwise just the same as the retail version and the key can simply be used with the anytime upgrade utility to upgrade any other version of Windows 7 to Ultimate without needing to use the disc.

    Windows 7 Ultimate still has XP capabilities and is better replacement at this time then Windows 8 because of it has been our longer. However, picture packaging is not how it arrived and had to find instructions to make sure it is the right one ordered.

    The software works as expected. What was delivered was different than what was advertised. The picture of the product was just like the Microsoft store, MS boxed item. What was delivered was a thin envelope with a DVD and the license key number.

    I always loved W/7 Home Premium, so it was a no brainer when choosing the OS for this custom build Just had to make it Ultimate though.
