Does what I want it for. Stable operating system..

Took me some time to get used to Windows 8.1. I'm still exploring it.

This product works as needed. no special bells and whistles

Had to upgrade and installed it; however, that also meant I had to upgrade Adobe for an additional cost.

I was really anxious to load 8.1. I had looked forward to the speed it might afford. Despite the initial difficulties I had, I have come to really like the program.

I update my computer from Vista XP to Windows 8.1 Professional and I have not had any problems. The Geek Squad service is a beautiful thing. Great Customer Service.

I bought 8.1 but preferred the old 7 version template. I have a 64 pro and seems to run fine. It took awhile to get use to 8.1 block structure.

I'm really happy with the touch underpinnings of this OS, and while some of the menuing may be a little hinky, actual use and stability has been great.

I have been a fan of Windows since 3.1. This version is a newest edition to that long lineage.

Tons of issues with compatibility between featured programs, You have can't even access your drop box when sending emails from the internal mail program etc.

I would go so far as to say the best OS on the market. It has all your usual Windows features that you're used to with some great features. It's also the most customiseable OS out there with no restrictions!

Using windows 8 is difficult to learn because you have to move from one screen to another to find all your programs. There is not 'programs' list that you can go to in your task bar because there is not task bar. It may be great for business because you can put the necessary applications on the desktop such as the market, financial information, and other such things needed for a business but, for personal use these items clutter the desktop, or splash screen, whichever you want to call it and confuse a person because they have to try to figure out how to remove them. I personally don't care for windows 8 because it doesn't offer me what I need for my writing of my books. I prefer windows 7.
