Forced to purchase because "upgrades" of other apps incompatible with Vista, only alternative was new computer. Home install impossible even with Geek Squad. In shop installation required and very expensive, required purchase of backup device. Micro trend Virus protection 'lost' during install causing corruption of hard drive and an addition week to correct. Windows 8.1 is not intuitive and does not include operating manual. Had to buy a book to operate. Very disappointed with purchase but only alternative was a new computer.

It was a little hard to install and activate but once it was in it has worked like a charm. It has a good work flow and use of outlook. Wonder why office dumped publisher? Great for making school projects.

I highly recommend going pro if you do anything more than just reading email. I use it on my Surface Pro so when I get to work I can just plug into the network, no fuss.

I took the plunge and upgraded from the original 7 that came installed on my laptop. The upgrade was seamless, with no data, drivers or installed software loss.
The software should cost a fraction of what it is today, though.
