    32-bit=5 stars, 64-bit=6 stars

Personally I prefer to use the 64 bit version of this OS, but considering the fact that I use the same PC for high-requirement games (e.g. F.E.A.R., & The Sims 2), website design and hosting, which is where XP's vital IIS (Internet Information Services) component comes into play, music editing and mixing for my friends band+nearly 10 Gbs of songs, software creation and editing, writing code for various things using C#, C++, Unicode, ANSI, UTI-8, Basic stamp... etc., database management and as a SQL server, FTP server, DNS server, LAN hub, the list goes on. As for Vista, yes it does LOOK like state-of-the-art software, but I do have a pc that came factory built with, and for vista, and unless your the turtle from the Comcast commercial, I suggest you avoid Vista until the first service pack is released. On the off chance that you will not be using your PC this extensively I strongly recommend this 32-bit version, but if you do plan on using it for any 4 to 5, or more of the things I listed, consider purchasing the 64-bit version, trust me, you wont regret it.

    Best Windows OS

Windows XP Pro, I think, is the best Windows OS to date. Yes, it has its security problems, but they're getting worked on. For a gamer, there is none other to compare. Mac's OS's don't work with all games, and Vista is having problems as well. I am sure once Vista gets the ball rolling and fixes some of the bugs and games start patching for Vista it'll rise above XP. But as for now, if you're a gamer, XP is probably going to be your best bet.

XP Professional is Compatible with SAS 9.1

The Best Buy service guys took Vista off my new computer and installed my copy of Windows XP Professional so that I can run SAS 9.1 on my new computer. I highly recommend using them to do this!!! I made sure to pick a new laptop that they had already performed the same service on, so the service guys already had all the software, drivers and expertise they needed.

    BEST OS WINDOWS HAS MADE!

Windows XP is, by far, the best Operating System Windows has made. The interface is easy to use, and the way it looks is nice. However, if you're a bit nostalgic, you can change the desktop to look like a windows 2000 computer. IT IS FANTASTIC!!
