I was excited about this controller but when I got the first one the buttons were very loose. I compares it with another controller I had used for a year and the buttons on the new controller were looser. The D pad felt like it was about to fall out. Some of the buttons would not respond when pressed on. I went to my local store and they found another controller I could exchange it with. I tried that for a while and that one is having issues too where it doesn't seem to do what it is supposed to and the buttons seem to stick a lot. The controller is clean and hasn't been used much because I switch back to my other controller because this one doesn't work well. I will just buy one of the standard controllers from Microsoft next time and hope that one works better.

I like the look but, with tge insurance I purchased it still didn't come with the features I had before. I returned my black wireless remote for this white "NEW" model, but to my dismay I found that it didn't come with a rechargeable battery pack like the other and if that wasn't bad enough, it cost me more!! I asked the store clerk the reason for this and was told the model type I had was discontinued. I don't feel I should have to pay the difference between prices if my product is insured and guaranteed to be replaced. Very disappointed with Best Buy for this reason alone, they have made product replacement insurance a joke for any future purchases in my book.

I got an xbox and an extra control for Christmas. I have the Xbox in my room and play at night when I cant sleep. My is constantly waking because of the sound of the controller. The main part that clicks a lot are the Joy sticks you move with your thumbs. It makes a lot of clicking noises. If Microsoft would put rubber padding around the edges, the controller would be fine. I tried the $150 and it doesnt make as much noise but that controller is not worth that much. On top of the noise, the controller itself feels very cheap. Also, the vibration is very loud too. Theres no way of controlling that (for some odd reason).

I have gone thru 5 controllers in the past 3 years. The quality of these controllers have become very poor. Idk if they decided to go with lowest bidder on contract or what. Needless to say I have gotten smart and always purchase best buy protection plan and I ALWAYS end up using them. I just bought my son a $150 elite controller last month and it's already had a button stop working. I'm going to switch to PS4. Microsoft is becoming very cheap trash. My wifi and went up on my 3 month old xbox one S. Frustrating with all the $$ these things cost.

This came with two Spanish and durcells that last all of a few hours before I lost controller vibration and then connection all together and then again when I put in a pair of brand new kodak batterys. Trying brand new just bought durcells, still have the high pitch wine but so far a few days of play and no connection issues

      Hi Nick,

We're sorry that you're experiencing an issue with your new Xbox wireless controller. It shouldn't exhibit a high-pitched whine noise so we recommend exchanging it for a new one if it's still within Best Buy's return period. Otherwise, every Xbox controller comes with a 90-day limited manufacturer's warranty. Reach out to Xbox Support for assistance here: https://aka.ms/AA4w2z7

      Hope that helps,

I was having issues with the controller that came with my xbox. This remote is supposed to have a better range but I'm still experiencing disconnects. I have all my entertainment system equipment in the basement sitting on top of a small table right below the living room where the TV is. Still experience random disconnects and it seems like it's worse with some games (COD) than others (Halo). OK replacement controller but don't expect to get better connectivity (ie range).

Doesn't work well with rechargeable batteries

Controller feel and weight is great but when I try to use rechargeable batteries with it, it always says the batteries are low after a few hours and well before they actually are low. I can still use the batteries in other power hungry devices with no problem after taking them out of the Xbox controller after it stops working. It's Microsoft'$ way of making you pay for their rechargeable battery back that is probably the same thing but with a little higher voltage cells.

Ive had this controller for just under two months. I loved it when I first got it. It didnt disconnect very often or anything. However, it progressively got worse. Now, when I play, I have to take my batteries out of the controller at least twice every time I use it, because it loses connection somehow. Its almost losing its function as a gameplay controller, because it disconnects during gameplay.

I got this because "ooh it's blue!" It is indeed a nice color. And it works. But the buttons are rather dark and you cannot see the A/B/X/Y letters on the buttons very well at all. In fact I ended up with other players not liking me because I was slow on what button to push. I still work by sight not feel. If you know what buttons are what without looking, get it. If you look down at the buttons to see the letters on them, choose the white controller.

    Left analog keeps breaking

I have had this for about 6 weeks, and am returning it today. This is the 4th or 5th controller for he Xbox One where the left analog breaks. It winds up clicking out of place, making any fast paced game (sports, racing, fighting, etc) difficult to play. I have had Xbox 360 controllers for 10 years and they still work. I don't know what Microsoft did with these new controllers, but the quality of the internal pieces is horrendous.

This was recently purchased as a Christmas gift for my teenage son. He has been using it for 4 weeks and it broke already. The analog stick is no longer working properly, so it is useless to him. He is very careful with his electronics, so I can't blame user error here. For the price, I think you are paying for looks versus function. Very disappointed.

My son bought this with his own money at the end of August 2018. He really loved it. Fast forward to the beginning of January 2019 and it is now broken. The toggle buttons don’t work now and he can’t use it. I’m disappointed because it was pretty pricey and an original XBox brand controller. Obviously it’s toomlate to return at this point. :(

I’ve had this controller for one month and it keeps randomly disconnect in the middle of play. It’s one month and one day old and I’m hoping that my local Best Buy will exchange it for me. I’m not sure if it’s just mine or if it’s a common problem, but a problem it definitely is. Using it is almost impossible.

The micro usb connector on the controller does not allow for a secure connection when plugged in. It often disconnects with the slightest movement. This was an issue even with the launch controllers. The right trigger on my controller sticks or catches from the inside when pulling. Looks great and feels great otherwise but still going to return.

I have a few of these custom color design controllers and I was excited to get this one. The color scheme looks great but it disconnects from my Xbox or tells me that my batteries are dead when the controller is still on. Not very helpful when playing an online game, or any game for that matter.

Controller lasted 2 months. Bit the dust today. My child alternates between 2 controllers to prevent wear (or prolong the life of the controller). The white one that came with the system is still working fine but this one has been acting up for at least 2 weeks and today is unusable. Sub par.

Purchased the xbox one tech controller at bestbuy & when I got home I synched the controller and started to use it when I pressed the home button it would not respond. You have to constantly push your finger down at least 8 or so times for it to even respond and the home tab open. Do not waste your money as I will be returning it today.

Not as thrilled about tis controller as I once was. The grip pads on the controller do not feel like grips but rather grip stickers. It is a nice looking controller. Looks like a combat controller, but it doesn't feel like one. This is not worth the extra money to purchase. I expected a bit more from the description.
