This is an easy, wireless way to watch on TV what's on your computer / notebook as long as you have Windows 8.1 or newer on your computer / notebook, a USB & HDMI port.

Seemed like a really good idea but could not get it to work. Turns out the equipment needs to be compatible with Miracast, which was not on the ad or specs. When I tried to communicate, the unit got very hot, so be careful you don't burn out your equipment.

The need for USB power limits the true portable nature of this tool. But if your screen, projector, LCD, or other device has a USB, the connection is great. no noticeable loss with sound and video from the surface to the LCD or Projector. Works as designed. Windows 10 finds and connects quickly and easily

Great way to get your Surface Pro screen to your big screen! Works like a charm and setup it as easy as plugging it in and having windows detect it. Awesome product!

So I've been looking into how I could display my Surface to other TVs while traveling. I was going to buy the belkin brand and try it but held off once I heard that Microsoft was making their own wireless adapter. I'm so glad that I did. This device works great! Just plug into an available HDMI port on your TV, connect the USB for power and connect to it (after you download the app of course). The app that you have to download appears to run as a service so you don't have to open it to connect to the adapter. Sound gets pushed as well and to me it sounds great. The image looks clean and although there is a slight lag(inevitable), it's not bad enough to bother me. I like that it doesn't need to get connected to the wireless network in order for me to connect to it. The device works so well that when I showed it to some of my friends they bought it from me for an extra $20. So now I'm going to go buy me another. :)

It was easy to setup with various Windows 10 computers, but can be a little slow to connect initially. it also worked with Android devices using the Miracast app. Note: it does not work with IOS. I understood this prior to purchasing.

Works very well. Easy to get set up. Some latency with audio, but video works quite well. Windows 10 removes some features like adaptable resolution ratio.

Affordable. Read the instructions for prior to installing it. I had a Lilltle problem with it but when I update my computer to Windows 10 it fixed the problem I just hope that this is still compatible with Windows 8 or 8.1. If u have Windows 10 already, you shouldn't have a problem.

I purchased this to go along with my Surface Book Pro. I watch a lot of movies and use this wireless adapter to stream my movies to my girlfriend's tv. It works great but there sometimes is some lag. Nothing that takes away from watching the movie so I'd def recommend this.

with the exception of a little lag and having to install the Microsoft app rather than use the windows 10 setting window I have had no issues with this product. when using the lag can be lessoned by having the laptop a little closer to the TV screen you are projecting to.

The Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter is the best way to wirelessly send your Windows 10 Computer or Windows 10 Mobile screen to a TV screen! I got this when it was on sale around Black Friday. Simply plug it into an available HDMI slot, and into a powered USB port (either on the TV or via a 1 amp phone charger adapter) and you're set to connect to it. I highly recommend getting the Wireless Display Adapter app for Windows 10 desktop as it will allow you to rename the adapter, set basic settings and other functions. Definite buy!

Using with a Surface Pro3 connects to any monitor or TV with HDMI inputs seamlessly. Must download the app from the store to get full benefits. Some lag with certain videos which are streamed from the internet but from the surface hard drive works better than other products.

I like this wolireless miracast adapter quite a bit. It's response time is pretty good and the picture looks excellent. The only issue I have is that sounds come through very soft and I have to bump my tv up to the max volume when watching Netflix from my phone.

I was worrying how to project PowerPoint presentations from my Surface Pro3 since there is no 15-pin connection on it; only one USB port. But guess what? This do-hickey does the trick with anything with an HDMI connection and a USB port. Very cool and easy to use!

Works pretty well for streaming. Had some issues with streaming from Windows 10 right before it launched but hopefully that's fixed up. Note I did not test with a device that wasn't a Surface but expect this should work fine with any Windows 8 or newer computer.

I bought this device because I wanted the ability to display content from either my phone or tablet on my television and the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter does just that. It has simple plug-and-play features, so as long as you have an open HDMI port and USB port within about 10 inches of each other you should be good to go. My only complaint is that the USB cable is attached to the HDMI dongle, so if your TV doesn't have a USB port, or the USB port is out of reach, you'll need a full-sized USB extension cable and adapter. Other adapters use a micro-USB port to supply power, so you could easily swap out the cable with a longer one. The HDMI extension cable is a great freebie with the adapter -- without it I would not have been able to use it out of the box with my Samsung TV (the HDMI port is parallel to TV in a recessed area and adapter is slightly too long to fit).
