I tried it with my laptop (i7 12GB RAM), Surface 3 and my Note 4 (failed miserably even after updates) and it displayed video in such a choppy fashion. I have an AC router and it didn't matter. I got it because playing from Chrome to Chromecast was choppy, but not this choppy. Get a Chromecast and never buy this.

I tried the help option on the tv and even those instructions aren't clear enough. I wish i knew what else was needed before buying. I have a smart tv Vizio bought a couple months ago so it should be able to work with that but it doesn't detect anything and says I need miracast

Tried upgrading software. Some say that there is a problem with a recent upgrade, but they also said that Microsoft would not admit it. Waiting till a new upgrade shows up.
