I love Microsoft products. This adapter has been perfect for my needs. It paired with my surface pro 3 with ease. I have mainly used it to watch streaming content from my cable provider website. The monthly cost for an extra box is not worth it. Those of you have a Xbox one you can stream the contenext from the xbox using Windows 10 to your PC / SURFACE. Now there is no need to buy another Xbox one because of the use of the adapter I can steam my Xbox to any TV in the house via my surface.

Great, small, easy to use device that let's you mirror your screen from laptop to your monitor. Sadly only works with windows 8 or higher. Missing a BIG market by not being backwards compatible.

This item was an easy piece of technology to figure out - and I'm kind of a simple tech guy. Once the connection was made all I had to do was select the proper input on my TV. I knew it was working when I saw the Microsoft splash screen. The only thing left to do was use the "Devices" option on my SurfacePro 3, selected "Project" and then selected the Microsoft device. A brief screen black out occurs and then I see my desktop on the TV. An easy to use, easily concealed device that's always ready.

This is a great product for work and play. I use it in the classroom to display music notation software for my music students. It syncs very easily with my laptop, and allows me to show exactly what is on my laptop to a room full of students.
It is small and portable. I can use it all day, that easily unhook it and bring it home to stream from hulu, netflix, or online sports. Looks great on my HD TV.
Cons:
What keeps this from being 5 stars for me is some noticeable lag in cursor movement on the projected screen. It makes a second screen for gaming not practical because it lags.
Suggestions for improvement:
It would be nice if it was not reliant on a usb port for power. It is annoying to have to plug it into a phone charger for the projector I use in class just to get it to work. It would be much better if it had an alternative for plugging into a power outlet.

This is awesome if you want to watch movies or present but to stream PC games or do anything more intense than watching a movie there will be a lag :( Otherwise pretty good! especially with the android phone! Good travel companion to have !

I wanted to be able to view my Surface Pro 3 onto a larger monitor but didn't want to pay the outrageous price for docking station and didn't want to have to keep connecting an external cable from the monitor to the Surface, then I heard about this adapter that you connect to a HDMI port on your monitor/TV and then view your display via a wireless connection. It's simple to setup through windows 8.1 or 10. Great for displaying data, photos, movies, etc... Highly recommended.

Works with my Windows 10 Desktop. No problem detecting the adapter, but often have to try twice to connect. At rangers greater than a few meters (yards) it often drops the signal. Had hopped to use it to connect my living room TV to the PC in the bedroom, but the range seems to great. Would probably be fine for it's intended purpose of short range, easy hookup.
That said, the refresh rate was smooth even for video game watching (though not playing).

Not a great connection, but does the job. freezes sometimes, but could be because of the internet connection. I use it with my surface pro to the tv; I definitely recommend hard wires.

I wanted to use this with a MS Surface Pro 3. I liked the idea of wireless projection to conference room displays. I had to fiddle with the surface / debug for quite a while to get it to work. Now it's good. Others seem to not have had any problems with their systems. BTW - to make it work on mine - I had to uninstall the display driver, and let Windows reinstall it. To the best of my knowledge - it was the same one after re-installed (same version number, etc). Guess there are reasons why computer tech cartoon people are shown w/ wizard's hats...

I use this item to connect my SurfacePro4 to my 55" Sony TV.
Works ok, sometimes there is a little lag.
I have updated the drivers for it, helped a little, maybe next update will fix the problem. Great device no wire's to mess with.

I picked up this device to use for presentations and it has been good. There was an occasional disconnect which required me to reconnect but overall it has been a very good device. It was also used to show friends my trip overseas.

This adapter allows you to see things you can't see on the small Surface screen. It allows me to look at spreadsheets on my TV instead of that Surface screen and now I can tell the difference between a 3 and a 5.
It really helps.

Very easy to setup and basically works well. i have used it probably 5 or 6 times already and only once did i have poor quality connection. My wifi signal was strong but i video was not smooth. that's the only reason it didn't get a 5

It is good product but doesn't worth its price. It shall be cheaper but you have no choice. In addition, it shall be redesigned as taking two ports ( HDMI and USB) is too much. Airplay in Appletv is more convenient to the end user.

The Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter works with my wife's Samsung and my Lumia 1520. It is easy to connect and stream from the mobile devices to the television. The user interface is much better than trying to navigate the web user interface from the television using the TV's remote control. The hardest part was plugging it in(?). Setup is Super-Easy. Thank You,,
