Primarily purchased this for my surface pro 3, but serves great use for my android products as well. I don't game with my sp3, so I don't mind any slight lag that may exist, although I don't really notice any.

Easy to use, just connect, let the Surface Pro & Windows 10 configure itself and then you can send what's on your laptop screen to your HDTV monitor. Works well for movies and videos in high definition.

We have been using this quite frequently, but at times the connectivity between the laptop and device gets disconnected.. we suspect this is due to the laptop using WiFi and Bluetooth with same adapter

Did not have a USB port on my flat screen TV and this adapter made it possible to plug in the HDMI and USB for great TV watching. Highly recommend this.....make sure your HDMI outlet is close to a power source if you do not have a USB - you will need a USB power outlet (separate) and download the Microsoft adapter app on your laptop.

This device plugs into a HDMI port on your TV as well as a USB port on your TV. The USB connection is for power. Once connected this device serves as a receiver to pick up the signal being broadcast by your smart phone, tablet or any other smart device. Once you change the input select on your TV to this receiver you can watch the same thing on your TV as is on your tablet, smart phone or smart device.

I bought this device, and as a trial test to an alternative solution. The setup was easy, and I was very impressed with the end results. My only con, was that when the device was connected to a projection system; it somewhat skewered the overall settings (had to tinker with it a bit). Still, the product serves its purpose well.

You cannot find an easier way to get an image from your Windows computer or tablet to a television. I wouldn't try to game on it due to the frame-rate and latency, but for nearly every other application it's great. In addition to super-simple presentation setup, it has the benefit of letting me put what I want on a hotel TV when Chromecast isn't an option (due to AP isolation on hotel networks).

I travel a lot for business and give presentation or watch movies in hotel rooms. with my Surface I use this to project to the flatschreen or projector - works like a charm. both audio and video synch up perfectly Love it - would not be able to live with out it. No more cables and complicated access to projection screeens

    More Versitile Casting than Chromecast

This dongle, using Miracast technology, is far better than Chromecast. I tried Chromecast and it worked great for apps on a mobile device that are programmed to support Chromecast but other apps that are not won't cast and neither will your home screen or general display. Your laptop or computer won't cast anything on Chromcast except a tab in a Chrome browser only and even then, if you're casting streaming video from that tab, it is very choppy and garbled. The only thing it casts well are the apps designed to support it. This Microsoft Miracast dongle will cast anything on the display of another device with Miracast technology. And it does it well too. You can open up any browser you chose and stream video and it will play on your TV smoothly and perfectly. You can open any app on your mobile device and it will appear and run on your TV as well. Also, unlike Chromecast, you can choose if you want the dongle to just duplicate your device's screen or act as a second screen/monitor as an extension of your device's main screen. This dongle is just better and more versatile in every way.

I purchased three of these and could not have been happier, they work amazingly well and even carry audio. Applications stream with no issues what so ever, video has the smallest lag, but I streamed a youtube video and it looked great. My only drawback so far has been that you can only use it with with Windows 10 and not all phones support them, of course that is not the devices fault as it works perfectly as intended with the required devices. I was even able to use it on projector which was pretty cool, and older one so it was not very stable but it definitely works. So if you have a Windows 10 phone and compatible device, then this is the perfect setup for you.

Very nice to have, makes displaying on big screen or to a group very easy. $60 the price is a little high but worth it if you give presentations or share pictures, video with family and friends.

These are very handy for using with a projector or HDMI monitor or TV. It was extremely easy to set up and worked well. It does not allow you to rotate the screen to portrait mode, but that makes sense given the normal screen dimensions of a projector or monitor. It is great for training groups on the Surface Pro 3.

I was looking for a wired adaptor and was told this was better. Some TVs don't have the available connection but when they do this is easy to use. There are several apps that work with it

Needing to share your screen is a norm during meetings, entertaining friends, or just wanted a bigger screen. I purchase the wireless adapter to project my screen to watch movies. There was a lot of lag time so it did not work out for me. I kept it with the hopes it can still be useful, however I found apps which project my screen onto my Google Chromecast device.

The Microsoft rep. at my local store showed me this and I had to get it. Pulling up my Surface 3 on the big screen is awesome. You can also choose between different display modes. To duplicate, make a second display, or only show on the display this device is plugged in to, so your tablet screen is off.

Microsoft's answer to Apple's airplay and Chromecast. All it does is screen mirroring without any of the added apps for streaming etc. This is perfect for me because that's the only feature I'm looking for. Needs a USB port nearby to provide power so I hope your TV has one. Mirrors screen and sound well. I had to download an app from their store first in order to get it working.
