My old Microsoft wireless headset was getting old, the cushion on the ear piece was falling apart and it wasn't holding a charge anymore. I found out that Microsoft was doing a redesign of their headset and since I liked the first one I decided to wait for the new one. After buying the new headset the first thing I loved about it was that you pluged it into the USB port to charge. After using it for the first time I started to notice all the negative things about it. First was the fit. It was uncomfortable to wear, I tried switching the ear pieces but that didn't help, and I tried to keep it on for awhile as well as use it on a few different occasions to allow myself to get used to it; however that never happened. Also it kept falling off of me if I didn't hold my head completely upright. In the interest of full disclosure, I wear glasses, so that may have been part of the issue. But even if my glasses got in the way Microsoft should have designed it in mind for people who wear glasses. Even if none that was an issue, the mic itself doesn't have great pickup. Compared to other headsets I've used, including the first version of Microsoft's wireless headset, I am nearly shouting so the person on the other end can hear me. I ended up selling it on eBay and investing $200 on a great Turtle Beach wireless headset.

Fit and Battery life need improvement

I actually purchased mine at WalMart (don't judge me), but do 99% of my technology purchases at Best Buy. I purchased a new Xbox 360 Slim at Best Buy and got into playing Battlefield 3 with friends online and needed a headset and this one seemed like a great, low cost option. It was easy to set up, but then it started going downhill. The earbud doesn't like staying in your ear, so you have to use the ear loop, and even then you're hard pressed to get it to stay on right, which is where the microphone sensitivity comes into play. I kept cutting in and out unless it was on fully and right against my face. I finally figured it out, but it should definitely be easier. Once you figure it out, it's quite comfortable and can be kept on for hours of gameplay. If the battery stays charged..... ...Which it doesnt. I followed the directions and charged it before the first use, but it seemed to make no difference. I noticed battery issues from the start when after a 3 hour gaming session it had to be recharged or it would die. Now, after using it for maybe a week and a half, the battery won't hold a charge at all. Since I didn't purchase it at Best Buy and I'm past the Wal Mart return window, I'll have to write it off as a lesson learned. For now I'll use the wired Xbox headset, but I'm looking into the Turtle Beach wireless headsets now. More expensive, but you get what you pay for I guess.

I bought this because it works on Xbox Live and with my cellphone. Honestly I'm not sure why others gave it bad reviews. Once I got the right ear gel I was able to get a decent fit and comfort on my ear, I have yet to have it fall off, however I will say it does not fit down deep in the ear like some headsets do. The thing I love is I can pair this headset with both my work and personal cellphones. So if either one rings I push the answer button and it picks up just fine. I can even do my iPhone voice commands as well as stream music. The only bad thing is when I'm outside I have issues if its windy, but other than that I'm very very happy. I was originally going to return this to Best Buy but after spending about 15 minutes messing with the 3 different ear gels I finally got a pretty good fit, I'm very pleased with the device!

I received this headset for Christmas and was really excited to use it. Unfortunately, even though it comes with 3 different ear gel sizes there is only 1 size for the ear loop piece. I tried it on and it would just fall off and was not very secure, so then I tried it with each ear gel size to see if would help somehow and nothing. I wondered if maybe it was just my ears, maybe they were too small, so I had my mom and 3 sisters try it on and they had the same problem, but then I had my brother try it on and it stayed on perfectly fine. So maybe only guys can wear it? It also was not very comfortable and the ear loop piece feels very fragile, like every time I took it off or snapped it on it felt like it was going to snap in half. I did try out the clarity and sound when using it on a cell phone and found out it was very clear and then I tried it out on Xbox and ran into another problem. I could hear people pretty well, but they said I sounded "off/funny" and actually told me to "take it off now and switch back" because they couldn't stand it. Overall, I returned it and tried to find a different wireless headset that was similar, BUT BETTER, and if you're like me and want one that is only for one ear and not huge, try the older version, it's not Bluetooth, but it works perfectly and sounds great!

    Cumbersome, Yet Awesome

It works just fine once you have you get it connected. As the summary mentions, it is a bit cumbersome, or awkward to have on. The ear loop is made of plastic. It seems it will hold up, but it does hurt after a while. That's a small problem compared to it's upside. For the price I love it. the sound is good and my voice is heard clearly. There does seem to be a bit of an echo, but this can be fixed by lowering the volume a bit. I'm not sure how long the charge lasts, but so far it's 2 hours and counting on the first go round.. To top it all off, it's a dual threat. You can use it with another Bluetooth device; a feature it's predecessor didn't have. It's supposed to have the ability to connect to more than one device at a time, but I haven't yet figured that out. All in all it's pretty sweet. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the plastic hurting the back part of my ear. I'm sure it's nothing I can't get used to though. Another concern I have is that I hope that it's compatible to the 720 coming soon. I hope this helps!

I've always wanted a Bluetooth device for my 360, because I'm constantly in party chats and hate having to carry around my controller when I have to leave the room. There are times when I accidentally unplug my headset, drop my controller, and do other clumsy things that just make the 360's need to have headsets plugged into your controller unbearable. As of a few days ago, I finally decided that I've had enough of it and purchased this device, just to return it this evening. Though the headset looked pretty cool, rested inside of my ear comfortably, and was easy to set up, it just didn't work the way I'd hoped. My friends were hard to understand for the majority of the time, and they claimed that I sounded a muffled whenever I spoke. At first I thought it was just them, but I recently did a few tests by recording and listening to my voice messages. They were right. With that being said, this headset is getting a 3/5 from me primarily because it looks and feels great. Unfortunately, it just doesn't perform how I was hoping it would. Looks like it's back to the basic XBL Headset for me.

bought this because i wanted something wireless. my buddy had one and he sounded good on the other end so i picked it up. sound quality is good on both ends. controls are ok except for the mute function is awkward to press. you have to push down on the outside of the earpiece and it jams into your ear so i don't bother and drive my friends crazy yelling at my dog. lol. as far as comfort goes, some have said it bothers them after a while. i use the ear loop with one of the oversized rubber grommets so the part inside my ear just rests there. its not jammed in my ear. i first used a piece that fit my ear and it did in fact hurt after a while. the setup with the larger piece has eliminated any discomfort. i can play for hours and don't even know its on. i bought one for my 11 year old and he set it up the same. just use the larger earbud grommets and you won't even know its there. good piece for the price. i just wish it looked better. sony has the coolest looking earpieces and headphones. microsoft needs a new design team for accessories for sure but im happy with this.

Prefer older headset to this one

The ear loop on this headset is very flimsy, and if you want to switch ears, you have to take the loop off and turn it around. But be careful! It'll snap if you force it too hard. There is a constant noise of static in the background that never goes away. The mute button is almost impossible to push while you're wearing the headset. The ear piece itself sticks in the ear, which gets very unpleasant after a few minutes. The mic works pretty well, and whoever you're talking to on the other end comes through loud and clear, although the volume can be a hassle to adjust. The older wireless headsets were much easier to deal with. Bring those back!

I bought this mic do to the fact i couldn't find the mic I was looking for and I disliked it from day one, Reasons Unlike my previous mic that I was able to switch ear to ear easily this mic requires you to remove the flimsy ear clip and snap it back on the opposite way just to be able to switch ears, Poor sound quality friends sound laggy and they cant hear me when i talk at a normal voice level basically have to shout or remove the head set from my ear and speak directly into the mic Battery life it pretty much has none compared to my previous head set and doesn't tend to hold a charge dies within 30 mins of being removed from charge when indicator claims it to be fully charged oh and the previous mic mentioned above was the original Microsoft wireless headset

This is by far one of the best investments that you could make as an accessory for your Xbox 360. The easy and convenient ability to switch from game/party chat to a phone call gives it the 5 star but I gave it an honest 4 star because you will get a bit of static when you have your phone in your pant pocket and are speaking to someone on the phone. It's very minimal and not that annoying. Quality of sound when chatting on Xbox live is Great. Chatting on the phone is good but not amazing. This doesn't really bother me or friends that have this product. Like I said its a must have for anybody that games or chats on the phone. Battery life is also amazing.

besides the fact that its a pain to balance the device on your ear, its also a pain to program your settings so you hear chat in your ear piece. I found that the battery life was relatively short, and thought its marketed as having the ability to switch from bluetooth headset for phone and xbox live it never really worked out. It was just another toy i didnt use at all. I still have it its still whack, I never use it. total waste of money.

The Earpiece is great and the Bluetooth feature is a added bonus. The design of the ear piece could of been better. The ear bud on the ear piece fits into your ear hole. At first it was great, but after 2 hours of game play the ear bud staring hurting my ears. The ear-bud is made of semi hard plastic. So if your gamer like myself who plays for hours, this ear piece is not for you. If you only play an hour a day this is definitely for you.

I have Xbox & PS3, I didn't want to buy two separate headset, so after reading reviews & checking the store I found this one. If you have the same case as I do, this is a great buy, if you only have one system look for something more comfortable. Over it does it function very well for the price.

I have purchased 2 of these wireless headsets for my home. Both my son and husband love theirs. They don't have to worry about cords to get in the way of there game playing and if they set down there remote for anything they don't have to worry about jerking the headset off if they move.

I bought this primarily because I was going to be using it for my Xbox 360 and needed a new headset, but realized that it would also work on my PS3 which was a great bonus. Only downside is the battery life isn't very great so it's best to charge it after each use.

You can't go wrong because bluetooth devices can cost up to 200 dollars and for you to get a 2 for 1 value is amazing good job microsoft and if you have ps3 you can connect it through bluetooth.

This worked right out of the box with very little intervention. The only complaint I have is that it's not comfortable over long periods of time...but what do you expect out of an ear piece.

I saw a lot of people using the Bluetooth for a gaming headset. I thought I would try it out. First it wouldn't stay on my ears. I use earpieces all the time for work but the Bluetooth didn't work for me. Plus I had to yell for somebody to hear me.

The flimsy plastic ear hook sucks and this headset falls off the ear VERY easily. Sound quality and mic are ok and for $60 it makes for a fine BT headset, but doesn't do any good if the thing doesn't stay on your head.
