Feels gross, rubber pathetic, moves pointer way too fast, on slowest setting, not accurate, bad "feel", too wide yet too short, Microsoft name warned me, my bad, never again for the price. Donate to Goodwill.

Movement of the cursor on the screen is very shaky. Seems to have a problem with the Bluetooth connection.

Intermittently it moves the pointer in a choppy, jumpy manner. Should have known that $15 was equal to a cheap mounse.

I bought this mouse because of an erratic cursor. It turned out that Geek Squad diagnosed the continuing problem, and turned off the touch screen function on my PC. Now the mouse works perfectly.

Good price. Cursor doesn't always go where you want it to. Also runs on battery that I think needs changed already.

    Not For Desktop PC

This mouse may work on a laptop, but I tried it on a desktop with every USB port in use. The cursor becomes erratic every time the hard drive runs which is a lot for me. I am using several radio communication programs, some requiring USB serial port adapters. I could not find the correct USB port to plug the mouse receiver into where it would work with the other USB hardware running. Very frustrating. This mouse may work well on a PC with no other devices using USB ports.

This so far is my negative review on stuff I bought at bestbuy. Its wireless capability was just slow. The cursor reacts pretty late, not as responsive as expected. I bought it thinking that with the brand, it should do better. I picked it for a change compared to the typical logitechs I had but got dissatisfied. I actually would not want to replace it but my wife got so impatient and bought a better one instead. Now its just inside the drawer of our office table.

This mouse was just what I was looking for because I just got tired of dragging a cord around with my old mouse. Worked great for a few weeks and then the cursor started to stutter (badly) sometimes skipping several inches at a time. On other occasions the cursor wouldn't move at first then jumped to a general location somewere on screen. A new mouse pad didn't help at all. I started monitoring the battery life and found that a new alkaline battery would last approximately one month before needing to be replaced if the mouse was left on 100% of the time. Pressing the reset button on the bottom of the mouse and/or removing and replacing the USB receiver in the back of my computer would work for a few hours but would eventually return to stutterville. I will be buying a different mouse today.

As a longtime user of the Microsoft 3500 mouse , I thought I would 'upgrade' to the 4000. "Big mistake, Big mistake!" The wheel doesn't work most of the time. It's loose and wobbly. It's so frustrating because more times than not, you can't move the cursor with the mouse. The light flickers constantly. I would not recommend this at all. Buy the 3500 if you have to buy Microsoft.

The mouse feels good in your hand, remembering this is a travel mouse and not a full-size desktop mouse. It feels solid and the left, right and thumb buttons work well. The wheel has a smooth scrolling action with no clicking, but is a bit stiff. My wife liked the scrolling resistance to help prevent overshooting the destination. I wasn't so sure. The scrolling resistance might loosen up a bit over time. The wheel's left, right and downward click buttons were overly stiff, probably to prevent accidental activation. But the stiffness was a major turnoff for me and I likely wouldn't use them much. The deal-breaker for us was the mouse's performance. Despite the marketing claims we found that the mouse did NOT generally work well on the same surfaces on which we regularly and successfully used our old wired laser mouse - things like a wooden table with lots of grain and a mouse pad with lots of pattern. The wireless mouse was just fair on dark surfaces. The cursor would sometimes lag in response to mouse movement. Sometimes it would stop moving altogether and then suddenly jump a large distance. Sometimes small cursor movements were impossible. But sometimes the mouse worked as expected for a while on some surfaces. The behavior can't be blamed on unusual radio interference. We only have a wireless router nearby but any laptop will likely be operating in a WiFi environment. Finally, we discovered downward scrolling didn't work in one particular panel of Corel PaintShop Pro X7, which we use a lot. That is probably Corel's fault but it is something we can't ignore. Our wired mouse works fine on the panel. So the mouse is being returned and we'll try again with a different one. While I can't recommend this mouse, I will say it has potential if it can be used consistently on a surface that it can handle. But travel mice are usually asked to work on many surfaces. This one can't do that.

There are some great things about this about this mouse, but it isn't very good at what I need it to do. I bought this for my office computer, where I do a lot of clerical work. The scrolling function is the main reason why I'm now looking for a new wireless mouse. You can only scroll on the highlighted screen, so if you are reading information from a list on one screen and typing it into another, you have to constantly click on the screen with the list and scroll down. The software also doesn't offer very helpful options for the buttons. I've had to change the battery twice in the 6 weeks I've had it, but I think I just wasted batteries because the issues were only resolved for a couple of days. There have been times when I spent 90 seconds trying to click a button because whenever I got the curser close to it, it would freeze and then jump 4 inches. I'm not sure if that is an issue with the wireless signal, or the special blue light that is supposed to be great on any surface. However, if you are going to be primarily using this mouse to browse the internet it should work just fine for you. Also if you are going to be taking it various places or using it on different computers, the way the dongle just pops in the bottom is great. Just be careful because mine gets stuck about a third of the time.
