    Vista users: DO NOT BUY

Setup was extremely fast and simple. Mouse has a nice quality feel. The scroll wheel is very touchy ... easily engaging the screen scroll. I installed this last night. Today, I discovered my screen saver wasn't coming on automatically. After doing some troubleshooting and researching the Microsoft website, I discovered that this mouse was causing the conflict with no simple fix. I returned it today and exchanged it for the Logitech V220 wireless optical notebook mouse. So far, the screen saver issue seems to be resolved since I installed the Logitech. Best Buy had this Logitech on sale for the same sale price as this Microsoft. This mouse may work better with XP, but definitely not for Vista.

I wouldn't recommend this mouse for anyone that uses the computer very often, I am only on the computer at max two hours a day, but the batteries in the mouse were dead within one week! That is just not acceptable for me, I would rather pay a little more and get a mouse that will not run the batteries out. Also the mose somehow manages to keep the screen saver from coming on like normal.

Don't pay attention to the previous review

The previous reviewer is blaming this mouse for an altogether common problem with all microsoft wireless input devices. The simple fix is to install an optional update that will appear in microsoft update. It's called something like "microsoft hid non-user input data filter". This will fix the problem.
