    Terrible.

If I could I would give this zero stars. I read every review for this mouse before I bought it to make sure it would last a long time before spending $50. I had a Mighty Mouse for my Mac but the ball stopped working after about a year, and I decided if I was going to spend a lot of money on another mouse I'd want it to have a long lifespan. After researching a lot I finally decided on this one. It worked great for about a month and now "loses signal" every 3 minutes, literally. The only way to have high signal strength is if I put the mouse on top of the USB wireless applicator(?) but when I put it on my mouse pad it is slow, jumpy, or just doesn't work at all. I constantly have to "re-connect" the mouse [by pushing the button under the USB applicator and the button under the mouse] and I'm not talking like once or twice a day, I'm saying once or twice an hour and most of the times more. I've read the "help" section and nothing addresses this problem. The battery is brand new and according to the mouse has full strength, I did not change the mouse pad from the one I used when it worked before and nothing about the environment changed. I would NOT recommend buying this unless you only want to use if for a month. Bottom line, TERRIBLE PRODUCT.

Makes checking email a chore...it's that bad.

Terrible range doesn't begin to describe this "wireless" monstrosity. If your closest USB port isn't on the right side of your laptop, chances are your mouse clicks will amount to little more than noisy amusement for simple minded pen clickers. 3'' seems to be the range between mouse and receiver before the signal begins to waver, which is downright pathetic for the forty dollar price tag. If you can't move the mouse beyond 3'' from the receiver, why pay more for a wireless mouse at all? It's like a television remote that requires you to stand next to the TV to change channels. If you get better range off a wired mouse, why buy wireless at all? Meh. As for the design, I can only assume that "Ergonomic, ambidextrous design" is Latin for "uncomfortable in BOTH hands, regardless of dexterous orientation". The ridge surrounding the mouse wheel is obtrusive and pointless. It's like a small hurdle your finger has to hop over before it's allowed to use the scroll wheel. Pointless and ugly, it makes clicking the middle mouse button a chore. In short, unless you enjoy returning products to Best Buy, don't waste time purchasing this mouse. There's far better out there for the price.

I am very happy with this wireless mouse. I always had a problem with a wired mouse do to the restiction the wire caused. It seems I would constently click on all the buttons except the one I wanted because of the restriction of that wire. No more. This wireless mouse is very comfortable in my hand, and the pointer goes where I want it to with ease. As any computer owner knows, wires are spralled out everywhere around your computer, always getting in the way, tangling with other wires, well you eliminate one more wire with this device. There is one draw back. It needs to occupy a USB port in order to work. Check your computer to see if there is a USB port with easy access, and once the USB pluggin device is inserted, it's not pushing or bumping on something, as it could damage the device or the USB port itself. With these considerations in mind, I'm sure whoever owns one of these wireless devices will be glad they made the switch. I know I am.

I purchased this as a replacement for a previous identical model I had a little over a year. The previous model quit working consistently. Many of the single left clicks were being recognized as if they were double clicks. I had previous Microsft Mice for years before that I was very happy with. I thought maybe this last one was just a fluke. But I have now had the newest one a few weeks and it is just not up to what I have come to expect from Microsoft. It is "clunky". It is too heavy for it's small size. You would expect Laser technology to be even smoother than a mechanical ball but this mouse feels even more mechanical than the old rubber ball. The packaging hype about hi-res is just that--a bunch of hype. I find it quite difficult to get accurate cursor precision--far less accuracy than the older rubber ball technology. I have to replace the AA battery about once per month.

I love this mouse! It was given to me three years ago as a Christmas present and only recently I had to buy a new one because my dog got a hold of it and chewed it up. I currenly use it on my pc at home and its been nothing but wonderful! The only downside, if it can really even be considered a downside, is the USB adapter is a little sesitive so try not to bump it too much. Otherwise its a really great mouse! Set up is super easy. My favorite feature is you can snap your USB adapter into the mouse when not in use and it will save on the battery life. Its also necessary to disconnet the USB in order for your screensaver to pop up, but again, not like thats a bad thing because youre saving the battery. I use this mouse for hours at a time and never have any problems with it. I highly recommend this product....worth every penny!!!

I've had this mouse now for about 4 months. It sucks. Pros: - Inexpensive - wireless - has a left and a right click button - isn't made of foil Cons: - the USB transmitter fits on the bottom of the mouse and protrudes out. - mouse doesn't always recognize left clicks, even though the right click works fine. - it's literally 30 inches away from the USB transmitter and works 60% of the time. the remaining 40% of the time you are cursing at it or using the keyboard to navigate. I have a Logitech mouse with the ultra tiny USB transmitter that I use with my laptop. I'll swap the two mice between the laptop and my desktop and the Logitech ALWAYS works... while the Microsoft unit doesn't even work consistently with the laptop!

This little notebook mouse is a great peripheral for anyone looking to get away from using the track pad on their laptop. The form factor is small, the adapter plugs in to the bottom of the mouse, the battery life (1 AA) is great and the range is acceptable. With two face buttons, a track wheel, a track wheel button and a thumb button, this mouse can be mapped out to suit anyone's needs. My only complaint with the mouse is that the USB adapter has started to fail. In order for it to connect in any of my USB ports, a weight has to be set on the edge to hold it down. Without the weight, the USB receiver is simply never recognized by computers. Unfortunate, yes, but it's livable.

    Great Travel Mouse

I travel for work and needed a small mouse that would fit easily in my bag and had a long enough battery life that I wouldn't constantly be going to the store or carrying extra batteries with me. I found it all in this mouse! I had tried other travel mouses and none of them performed as well as this one. Great battery life and functionality. Love the customizable button. Doesn't work on all surfaces, but then again, what mouse does?!?! A definite must buy for travelers.

This mouse is very compact. The mouse has a place for the USB wireless receiver under the mouse to keep them together in travel. The battery life from what I have experienced is great and it has worked on my lap, different tables, and on my comforter. The performance of the mouse is also good. It moves the cursor very smooth and without much delay from what I have experienced in the games and different programs I have used it with. The buttons can also be programmed for whatever you want.

I've been using this mouse for over a year now and haven't had any major issues. I've installed the software it in both XP and Vista without a problem. I enjoy its compact and comfortable size especially while traveling. Battery life and connection range have been awesome! The software will even inform you if the battery is getting low. The small button on the side is programmable and perfectly used as a "back" button for your web browser.

    Tailess Mouse

It's great to maneuver wirelessly now. However, since the laptop moves where I go, I tend to bump the USB connection and this pop-up screen appears that says the connection's been lost when it really hasn't. Just an annoyance really. Also, the magnify button on the left of the mouse rarely works, so if that's a deciding option I wouldn't rely on it. Otherwise, it's a great buy and I'm very happy with it.

If you are willing to spend a little more than most mice available in the store you've found a product that is worth it. I like the fact you don't have to carry around the router, which is normally bigger than the wireless mouse itself. I had the mouse setup in under five minutes including downloading time for the software. This one is worth buying!!

I like this mouse for a few reasons. The price was right and it serves the purpose. The only downfalls are the small usage range and after about a half hour of usage the mouse will occasionally "blink out" and not respond for a few seconds, even if it is still in range. Despite those 2 "flaws" I would still recommend this product!

I have to travel a lot with my laptop and wanted a light and advanced mouse. I like the size (no to small no to big). Also like the custom additional right button that I changed from magnify to Internet Explorer back button. Pros: nice, precise, long battery life Cons: mouse surface scratch easy

Just got it and works pretty well with Mac. The only down fall is that you can't assign thumb button which with a Mac helps going to different screens faster. Worried about battery life, but we will see. One plus is that the laser is better on surfaces then the mighty muse form mac.

I purchased this mouse for my new laptop last April and love it. Small, wireless, practically indestructible and the battery life is very good (with good batteries). Takes just 1 AA battery, lithium or ni-cad are best. Does not work on some surfaces but I seldom had a problem.

This mouse is a very good one for usage with a notebook. I bought one for that use and it works great. Only problem with it is that if you take the mouse too far away from the USB receiver then it wont pick it up. Thats the only reason i dont give it five stars.

My wife bought this mouse because she has small hands and was needing a mouse to more fit her size. The mouse is the most comfortable she's ever had and she likes the precision. The window zoom feature is cool; the mouse is very smooth moving and easy to use.
