    A much needed hardware upgrade.

It probably doesn't make sense to write a review on a Black Friday bundle that I'm buying after the holidays, since this product won't ever be stocked again once BB sells out of them, but I'm doing it anyway. I made the decision to purchase a newer XBox 360 because my existing model was running into problems when attempting to play GTAV. It was giving me incessant "unrecognized disc" messages and ending my online games mid-session. GTAV is the only game I own (out of about 40 titles) that gives me this problem. I finally gave up, went over to the computer and bought this bundle. Let me just say that I am very happy with this frustration fueled impulse buy. For starters, this new console plays GTAV flawlessly. I have had zero issues playing this disc, and the load screens take less time now. That was my main reason for upgrading my existing first generation 360. Here are the other reasons I'm not regretting buying a new XBox while I still have a working XBox. - It's quiet. Oh man, I never realized how loud my old model was. The old one sounded like a small plane idling the entire time it was on. This newer model is whisper quiet. It's actually a little creepy how quiet my game room is now. - The hard drive space is about double what I had previously. As mentioned before I am upgrading from a non-HDMI 20gb Pro model bought back in 2007. I have since upgraded the hard drive on that one to 120gb, but even that got filled up with my digital purchases. I think this 250gb drive in the new one should cover everything I own. -It's got an HDMI video output and Optical audio output on the console itself. My old console had no HDMI output, but it did have an Optical audio output, if only as a part of the component/composite cable. This is actually the one reason I bought this model instead of the newer E series XBox 360. That one doesn't have an Optical output on the unit itself, so you would have to own a cable like the one that came with my old XBox if you want that audio option. -It has a dedicated, powered port for the Kinect sensor. Oh man, I hate wires. This may seem minor to some, but this was the baconiest gravy on top of this entire purchase. I had completely forgot about this feature when I was buying the unit. Before I had to run a USB from the Kinect to the 360 AND a separate power adapter. Now I just plug one cord in from the Kinect to the console. One less bulky AC adapter hogging valuable electrical outlet space. Additionally this model has 5 USB ports on it instead of my old model's 3. Even better than that is 3 of those 5 are on the back of the 360, so now I don't have unsightly charger cables sticking out the front of the XBox. - Games. This unit came with four games. Two are download vouchers, two are actual discs. I already own and have played Halo 4 and Batman AC extensively, So I'm going to see if I can sell those two off. The other two (Darksiders 2 & Tomb Raider) are new to me. I may play them I may sell them, I'm not sure. Either way, with the 4 games included this console bundle only cost about $40 more than a bare bones non-bundled 250gb console. All in all I think I got a good deal. I'm happy with this long overdue replacement/upgrade.

    Best Price Out There

If you are not sure why you should get this bundle, I'll tell you why. Xbox 360 s: The s is known to be the best version of the xbox because it is signifigantly smaller than the original, makes less noise than the original, yet has more ports than the newer, more angular version, the xbox 360 e. Info. The s for the xbox 360 s stands for slim. The e for the xbox 360 e stands for elite. 250gb: This xbox has 250gb. The xbox either comes with 4gb or 250gb. The larger the number, the more storage space you have. 4gb will only allow you to download like 2 games and 0 movies. 250gb gives you the needed space to get the full potential out of the xbox. The Games: All the games included are all relatively new. All of their launch prices were about $60 or $70. So the games themselves have a rough value of $240. That's not even including the xbox! Kinect: Even though this does not come with the kinect, if you buy the kinect seperately, you save $50 in comparison to traditional kinect and xbox bundles which are usually priced around $350. On cyber monday, best buy will be selling a kinect sensor bundle for $99 dollars with 3 games. If you are buying this, I suggest you buy that kinect bundle as well and still save. Note: I have purchased this bundle but have not received it yet. I have searched extensively, and I can assure you this is the best deal around.

    Fabulous Deal for New Gamers

This is a fabulous deal if you are new to gaming with an XBOX 360, or have lost a lot of your games and your console somehow and want a cheap but new console with included games to start you off. Each of the games is a bestseller/popular game and depending on the genre of game you prefer you are sure to find one to become addicted to. I'm not super into FPS so I gave HALO to my uncle (he was unimpressed). I instantly played Darksiders II and Batman: Arkham City, but fell in love with Tombraider! It is by far one of my most favorite games of all-time! I love that the console has a medium-to-large hard drive (at 250gb it may take a little while to fill, but with downloading games from XBOX Live becoming more and more popular, that amount of space is sure to dwindle pretty fast... I can't tell you my current gb but it is definitely under 200gb). The one thing I wish is that it could have been an XBOX 360 E instead of XBOX 360 S, but with the amazing price and deal with the additional 4 games AND a 250gb console, I'm not going to nitpick! The XBOX 360 E has a superior cooling system and 500gb, in case you were wondering the difference. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase!

1st: I'm not sure if any of you jumped-on the $100.00 trade-in deal for any XBOX (or PS3 etc.# a couple of weeks ago. My old 360 had component cables hook-up only. Came-in to BB with all docs, remote, console etc. & scored a $100.00 BB GC! I was going to buy the 4GB XBOX version to save money & use a 32GB #2.0 version# USB thumb drive for more storage. But when I discovered the 250GB with 4 free games for $189.99 on a Black Friday deal, it was silly not to buy it. So the newer version cost me $89.99 #New Hampshire doesn't have sales tax) Bought it online for a store pick-up & even received 3X BB reward points! It's simply a win-win. 4 games for free, 250GB for massive storage, new slim model & it's black in color! I'll score the XBOX One when he smokes clears. Maybe around the summer time. If you still want a great console & that's has massive amounts of discounted games, look no further!

I was disappointed to find that my Xbox 360 was scratched/scuffed up when I opened it up. I wanted to return it but I hate going through returns and I really needed to get my Forza fix. That was my whole reason for buying an Xbox 360 in the first place. This was my first time buying something from Bestbuy.com and I will probably be a little hesitant to get something online again... Another thing I dislike about my Xbox 360 is that to use it to its full potential, you need to have an Xbox live account. I want to watch netflix and stream music, but I don't want to have to pay for it if I can do it for free on my computer. Something that I am not looking forward to is the "Red Ring of Death", as I am certain it will happen. I wish products would last like they used to. I can still hook up our Atari and it runs great. Anyway, enough of my rambling, overall, this was a pretty great buy. I couldn't have found a better deal anywhere else.

    Best cheap Xbox 360 bundle

    RTG5

This bundle is great. So far, I have not found any other bundles that are this great. This bundle is for only less than $200. It comes with four games and a 250gb Xbox 360 Slim. Even though the original price is more than $300, all this would've probably cost more than $400. But right now, it is at an EXCELLENT price and will do great for a Christmas gift. Also, when I went Black Friday shopping for an Xbox 360, I could not find one that satisfies my needs. This bundle, however, is perfect for me and can be a good bundle for Xbox veterans or beginners. But this bundle while the low cost lasts.

I received a brand new unopened box. Everything was brand new! I updated and it took at most 1 hour. The price is great! The payment options Best Buy offers are great! Financing free for 6 months is affordable for lots of people which normally couldn't afford to buy anything this nice. The only thing I don't care for is that Xbox requires you to sign up (pay for) Xbox Live in order to watch Netflix, YouTube, etc. But as a bonus I received a free insert offering Xbox Live free for 1 month! You will need to cancel after the month or you will pay for the following months. I also have a Wii which offers the use of these apps for free. It's no big deal for me really. This is a great unit that should be purchased from Best Buy while it lasts!

If you missed out on this generation of video games then this is quite simply the best deal around. First of all, the system with the 250GB hard drive for this price is a very good deal, not to mention all the games that are included are some of the best. The Xbox not only excels at gaming, but is also the best media center too. I use many of the entertainment apps that are freely available (Netflix, Hulu Plus, HBO GO, etc), not to mention the built-in Xbox Video and Music apps which are excellent. It can also be used to stream media from your Windows PC!

This will be my first xbox. I've been using a PS3 since it came out and never justified owning 2 systems because of cost. But I longed to play Gears of War and Halo. Well now I can. I researched the 360S and it's considered the most desirable model. MS has worked out the bugs and 250GB is a ton of storage. The 4 included games (2 hard copies and 2 downloads) are highly rated greatest hits. Best of all, I'll have the pleasure of playing them for the first time. Free shipping to my door is the icing on the cake. This is the best holiday bundled price to date!

Also had freezing/red ring of death

As other reviewers noted I also had hardware issues and box had appeared to have previously been opened. Freezing, spinning green rings on the console and controller and eventual red ring and E63 error appeared on the first day of use. After 4 calls to MS support to troubleshooot, on their recommendation, I returned the unit to Best Buy. In store exchange was painless. The boxes of available units were different than what I had received though the contents were the same. The 'Black Friday' promotion on the new unit was a slip cover over the non-promotion box whereas the old was a standalone 'Black Friday' box. The new unit has been functioning for over a week without incident. Value and performance has been great. Chalking the first unit up to a dud

Fantastic value on this Xbox 360 Black Friday Holiday Bundle. This would be a great price for a 250gb model all by itself. But when you add in the four free games you more than double your savings. The best part of the deal is that the Xbox 360 is the S model (original "slim" model) that is widely considered to be the best of all 360 models and superior to the current E model that you will find in stores today. The newer E model has removed the optical out port to cheapen manufacturing costs. While this S model has an optical out port for hooking up your surround sound systems.

    Console was not operational!

Hooked up the console, it would not operate even after troubleshooting. Called the customer service number, they said go to the Winchester store for an exchange. Winchester store says OH that was a black friday special, out of stock, can't get, but you can upgrade to the current bundle costing $63 more, two less games, and no headset. Daughter in law did the upgrade, got home & thought about the rip off, I met her back at Best Buy, asked for a full refund...they shorted me $15 on my refund. Child loses! Best Buy loses two customers. The original console would have been under factory warranty, yet Best Buy says they could not do anything other than swap out for the upgrade bundle which really was NOT an upgrade due to the loss of games and headset!

Stop Reading Disc After 2 Weeks

    Posted
    bx4ever

Got this bundle on Black Friday for $190 and figure it would be a great upgrade from my 4gb 360 S. Used it for about 2 weeks and the disc was unreadable after that, once I saw a couple people commenting that this happened to them I took it back after seeing the 360 E on sale for $200 with a 250gb drive and 2 games, although the 360 E had less games and was $10 more in price I figure it should be better than the 360 (S) which it is, I played the 360 E all day and night for the last 2 weeks and no issues. I think the holiday bundle on Black Friday were left over systems that Microsoft needed to get rid of and the new designed unit was the better of the 2 which they advertised after Black Friday.

I finally decided to get into gaming and I guess I couldn't have picked a better time! The Black Friday Deal on this unit with the included high end games, wireless controller, headset and 250 GB of storage makes this package a "No-Brainer!" Just add a Kinect and you're totally set! It will be at least a couple years till the new Xbox 1 is bug free and reasonably priced (it's having some major drive issues right now)...so in the mean time this is a n excellent system to cut your teeth on!!!

I oderd an xbox 360 bundle

I orderd a xbox360 with 4 games on Black Friday for an amazing price, two thing that made me mad about the purchase. When I orderd the xbox the estimated delivery time was about two weeks, thought oh good it will be here before Christmas, I finally got it today the 3rd of January. The next thing two of the four games you have to download off the internet, and where I live 15gb cost about $100 a month, so I will probably never get to download the games. I have looked online to compare prices with bestbuy and bestbuy has unbeatable prices BUT I would rather pay more to get my items sooner. Hate to say it but I don't think I will order anything from best buy again.

I got this for my boyfriend on an awesome Black Friday deal. It comes with the 250 gig system and 4 games, 2 are downloadable. The system got the ring of death in less than 3 days. This is the 5th xbox 360 system I've bought so I know this is rare. This is why I love shopping at Best Buy. I called the store & was instructed to pack everything back in the box and bring it in. They replaced it with no problem. The games were fun popular games. 2 being downloadable was a problem because my boyfriend works off a limited hotspot but it's workable. He's very happy with the system & keeps him busy. I have 2 sons who only use xbox systems & I prefer it as well.

My son opened this up on Christmas day and it didn't work. I bought it online on black friday at a great price for the console with 4 games. $189. When I tried to return it to the store I was told that this particular special was discontinued and I would have to get the new bundle with had only 2 games and cost $249! I said that there was no way I was paying more and I was not leaving without an xbox. I felt it was sort of a scam. they ended up doing the right thing and giving me the new bundle, with 2 games from the original so that I still had 4 games and I did not pay a dollar more.

You need to buy quickly this is the Best price I have ever seen. The 360S console is Very Hard to Find. It has more USB Ports and a Optical output that was deleted with the new model. Check around everywhere. This is at least $60 cheaper than anyone. Also because it was the Best box every made many are trying to $500 for this unit with just 2 games. These will be sold out in a day. Hope this helps.

This was a steal for what I got and there were tons of deals everywhere, what with the new game decks coming out. This unit has the large hard drive and four decent games with it and it shipped very quickly FOR FREE! I am thrilled with the deal I got and everything was as advertised. I was afraid of buyers remorse thinking everyone would come down on the price after the holidays, but this continues to be the best value I have found from ANY source including Craig's List. I am very happy with this purchase; at this price even if I don't play it all that much I won't feel like I overspent my hard earned money.

I bought this for my 11 year old son and thought I was getting a great deal as the console came bundled with four games. It was the same price for the bundle as for the console alone. Unfortunately, the deal really wasn't, as the games were all rated Mature. I was unable to exchange the games for something my 11 year old would be allowed to play, so it wasn't the deal it should have been. However, my son loves the system and is very excited to get new games for it. The best feature is the fact that he can get gift cards for live play and play with his cousins, even when they live in another state.
