Great gaming system upgrade from original 360

After using the XBox 360 E for a few weeks, I have come to the conclusion, that it is a great upgrade from my original 360. The system has a quieter fan and seems to load without difficulty. I noticed when using Netflix application, the quality of the video is not in HD as frequently as when I was using my older 360 with an external WiFi adapter/antenna. The 360 E, has an internal antenna, which may account for a decrease in the HD video observed. When using the chapter back or forward button, it moves at 10 second incriments, but will freeze when you push the play button. From there, you either have to hit "stop" or "back" to get back to the main screen. The video then starts playing at the same spot you were trying to navigate away from. I recommend using the fast forward or rewind button instead. (Lesson learned, "Do not use the chapter back buttons") I purchased the 360 E with the larger hard drive space for the Games with Gold program and have several games I am looking forward to playing. These games would remain in a queue with a smaller hard drive. I would recommend the larger storage space to anyone with an XBox Microsoft Gold membership, or you may not have enough hard drive space for even one standard size game. I already owned one of the games provided in this package and had little to no interest in the Laura Croft free downloadable game. I feel if they are going to provide games with a unit as a package, they should at least be newer games. (I understand that as a package they aren't looking at me specifically for what games to place into packages, they are trying to reach a broad spectrum of gamers, tempting them into buying the package, but the games provided were outdated) I would have purchased this item without the games for as much ast $150, without blinking an eye, but instead, I was forced to pay for games I did not want and have already played. Idea for XBox and Microsoft, a better option may be to give points(old Gold purchasing system) or gift cards towards purchasing games of a standard game cost online with the unit and sell the system seperate. In summary, I would purchase this package again, but there are certainly ways it could have been improved.

Good Console, Bad Advertising, Terrible Management

I wanted a second console in order to play system link with my girlfriend and this seemed like a fantastic deal for the price. Maybe yes for some, definite no for me. First, let's start with the good. The console itself looks great! Love the sleek design, matches the my Samsung F8000 superbly! Very light power cable compared to the brick my old console required and runs a bit more quietly as well. Finally, I think a 250 gb hard drive and one game (explain in the bad) is pretty decent deal. Seems to be the standard for this setup, so I figured why not?! Well, in my opinion, here is "why not"... First off, the controller was broken. Seemed to play just fine, but the headset connection was broken (discovered on our first system link fiasco as our two televisions are in separate rooms). Second, the Tomb Raider game is download only, which is not mentioned anywhere in the description (though to be entirely objective upon further looking into it, the picture does show this). Normally I wouldn't care about that, however, internet is not even currently available in my area which renders this download completely useless. Third, the other game (Halo 4) is probably okay for some, but neither I or my girlfriend are fans of the series (which I'm not really complaining about as I would have considered it just an added value had the rest came together well). Fourth, I can't believe the 360 STILL doesn't come with an HDMI cable! I know it states this clearly on the package, but come on Microsoft, really?! Last but most certainly not least, the reason in which I have ultimately decided to return this device and purchase it from whichever random competitor I find... I went back to my local Best Buy store to voice my concerns relating to this item and was met with an abrasive, unprofessional and rude management staff (which was disappointing as the previous staff I had dealt with months ago were all extremely helpful and understanding). Overall, I can't say this is a terrible bundle. The Xbox alone is probably worth the $250, but the experience itself has left me underwhelmed and I have no further desire to own it or deal with this store in general. Hope this helps any that might unintentionally wind up in the same predicament!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We apologize that your experience with the Xbox 360 bundle was not a good one. Please keep in mind that the Xbox 360 console and many Xbox 360 games are designed to play on the internet and have limited functionality when playing offline. Several customers have voiced their feedback on the HDMI cable not being included and this is something we are looking at for future releases. Regarding your experience with the retailer, we will work with the retailer to ensure no other customer has a similar experience.Microsoft

Replaced my Original Xbox 360 (I've had since the 360 release date). - Made a Quick visit to my local store to acquire another Xbox Unit... - Upon new replacement setup, I noted This model has No Optical Output Connection - Just has the HDMI output... I Previously used the optical output to direct Xbox Audio to my external Bose 7.1 THX seven channel surround system, whenever [rarely] I wanted a different audio experience, than the 73' Mitsubishi Widescreen built-in 16 speaker audio array can deliver... - Was a Bit Bummed that I did Not check the specs first, on-line, before my impulse trip to the store. - All My fault (for not checking first). And This console was All the store had to sell me (besides Xbox One), and I was apparently too busy with my Addictive Gaming to Bother making Another Switch, only to gain an optical audio Out port (my Mitsubishi Audio setup is quite fine for such games anyway). - And there is No way I am going to Xbox One, as it is NOT backwards compatible with Any Xbox 360 games, my racing wheel, etc. - I am Not re-buying or subjecting my self to a total loss on All my Xbox 360 games and equipment...to Switch to Xbox One - Not going to happen... Chose to Stay with the 360 Technology...I have no future plans to have one of each type, which would be the only solution for those that Have to have a MS Xbox One, and still be able to play their MS 360 games...

Long time customer of Best Buy. Excited to get the new gaming system. Started cutting out immediately after purchase. Thought it was normal for the system to blink out from time to time until the system started totally shutting down during play. Tried to return the system to Best Buy. Just a day or two past 30 days. Told them that the problem started out of the Box. Said it was my problem. Past their 15 day return policy. Al they would say is that I should have paid for their warranty and I would need to mail it to Microsoft. With no backing from Best Buy, I will make future purchases from internet. No difference. A store that profits from the product it sells should stand behind it within reason. The Xbox was fun while it lasted and I would recommend one that works to a friend. The one I bought most likely had a rare problem.

This was an impulse buy, especially right before the Xbox One was released. The best thing about buying this type of machine at this point in it's timeline is that, usually, the later version has most of the bugs worked out. I was apprehensive about the hard drive since my first 360 was so different in design. My fears were squashed when I took it out of the box. The hard drive can still be upgraded, the two games it came with were the best two games I've seen in a bundle pack. Stock controller, mic, and other little perks are always a plus as well. This console started freezing up at times, but it just needs plenty of room to breathe. A laptop cooling fan can help as well. 98.6% satisfied with this purchase!

After limping along my old Xbxo 360 Elite until it finally gave up after years of use, I shopped around for a replacement 360. It wasn't until firing up the new model, and transferring data across, did I realize how much slower the older 360's dragged in the menus. Best Buy had the best deal I could find locally, and it seems finding a larger sized HDD unit in stock is a challenge. (At least in my town, it is). I appreciated getting Tomb Raider, and have enjoyed playing it. The unit is performing well after day long sessions of Netflix watching and Power Ranger marathons with the kids. I'm very pleased.

Our first XBox 360 died like many of the first gen ones did. We needed a replacement, so we got this one for a Christmas gift. (It was a gift for my live-in boyfriend Jason). We use this thing a ton. If you leave for any reason it even turns itself off, which was a problem and likely cause for our first one to die. I love that. We use ours for video streaming, game play, playing music and for entertainment when we have people over in conjunction to the Kinect. We are definitely XBOX lovers. :) the BF has already beat the games that came with it--Tomb Raider was awesome.

I used to be strictly a PlayStation person for years, until I sold it when the Wii came out. I had the Wii for years and was moderately satisfied because of the titles, then when I decided to get back to my gaming roots I settled on this Xboc 360. I actually bought it just weeks before the Xbox One release. Not having a presale I didn't want to wait any longer to play games I've been craving for. This was the best system for me for the price, I work long hours 5 days a week so my play time is minimum, but the experience I get from Xbox is maximum.

I had an aging xbox 360 and I wanted to upgrade to the xbox one. However, since it does not support the 360 games, I decided to buy this bundle. It runs so much smoother and quiter than the elite I was replacing. The system itself is sleeker and blends in nicely with my current entertainment system. It is also nice to have built in wifi and the ability to plug the kennect in with out a separate power supply and additional adapters. I would recommend this bundle to anyone with an older 360 since this could be the final update to the xbox360.

This version of the Xbox 360 is great, it looks sleek, it has a large library of games to rent, trade, buy. I picked this up to play Grand Theft Auto V and it was well worth the price of admission. With this package you get Tomb Raider and Halo 4, both of which are great titles and offer hours of enjoyment. Expect to pay for a HDMI cable ($10 at Best Buy) and also a Xbox Live membership (month to month or a year) if you want to play online.

Needed to replace my old Xbox 360

I had to replace my long dead Xbox 360(old white original release console) that had a dead disc drive, and dead HDD. So I found this bundle, and though I had been hoping for a price drop for the 360 after the Xbox One's release, this was still a good value with 2 free games, although I already own Tomb Raider on my PC. The HDD space available for this model was leagues beyond my old console, which only had a 20 GB HDD. So I'm glad to free up some of my old flashdrives to be used for other things.

This is my third 360 purchase since the system came out. My first two both had the red ring of death. If the Xbox One had played my 360 games I would not have bought another but I guess that's why Microsoft made it that way. I like the new system's look and it is smaller and much quieter then my previous two 360's. I also like the integrated Wi-Fi. The only thing missing is the optical output to run sound to my surround sound system so I can just use the HDMI to run video to my T.V.

I was excited to get this as a xmas gift for my son. Bought in Nov and told salesman it was for my son for xmas. He never told me that I only had 15 days for refund /exchange. I guess it wasn't time for xmas refund/exchange program yet. Now if he doesnt want it, I cant even return it. Ive spent a lot of money in this store over the years and I feel unappreciated as a loyal customer to best buy. I hope he likes it but next year ill make sure to get gifts from somewhere that I can return if its not what they want.

I was not interested in the XBOX one, I travel quite often and wanted a new machine for on the road and with 2 games that I wanted included, it was a great value. Now I can leave one at home for my family ( games and Netflix ). It is sleeker and more compact than my old XBOX, so it is easy to pack and it has more storage on the hard drive. Just make sure you remove any game discs before you move it or you will destroy the disc. Ask me how I know!

    Great System with New Design

    Posted

This system is very quiet and a little smaller than the (S) so far no issues and although running for long hours no loud fans blowing, the only thing I miss from the 360 (S) is the power button in the front where you can just swipe your finger and it turns on, but is worth it for the new design and quiet use. I plan to keep this system for at least 2-3 years and by that time the XBOX One should go down in price with games LOL

Having most of the aviation games that are available for the XBOX 360 it has decent size hard drive to house the games. Even though the XBOX One will be replacing this system, they currently don't have aviation games and not being backward compatible, the XBOX 360 with a 250GB hard drive is the most logical choice. Currently have 3 systems in the family and have had no problems with any system. All are covered by Best Buy's Geek Squad Warranty

My sons have been hounding me for the Xbox 360 even though we had another gaming console. We finally caved and got them the Xbox 360. They love the sporting games on the Xbox 360 as the graphics are terrific. They also like the ability to play online with their friends. We are hoping that they will continue to provide games for a long time for the Xbox 360 given that the Xbox One has been out for almost a year. Great system with lots of online abilities added!

the xbox is great. it came with 2 games. halo 4 and tomb raider. unfortunately the tomb raider game was not a disk it was a downloadable code to go straight on your hard drive. when i tried to remove the sticker to reveal the code to download the game it ripped the paper and i couldn't read the code. Microsoft has yet to help me out with this issue. its been 2 weeks plus. other than wishing both games came on a disc, it is a great product.

Finally broke down and got a game console as Christmas present for my two boys. Great deal for the holidays. Very impressed with the Xbox 360, the kids (and parents) can't turn the thing off we love it so much. I'm always a late adopter, just cheap really, but after playing several games I wonder why I waited so long! I'm very glad I listened to the salesman and got the 250G version. Already downloaded more than that in just a few weeks!

This is a great product to buy. It was initially only available for Black Friday but eventually with the same price during the holidays. This is my third Xbox360 and I love it so I can play Halo 4 with my daughter. I hate to buy another Halo 4 and it's great that it comes as a free game here. I am surprised to see it's even smaller than the previous model. This machine fits very well with my other gadgets of the home theater.
