    Everyone will want one

I bought 2 wired controllers and two wireless controllers. Wireless ones use batterie life even when not in use. So if you had 4 wireless ones but normally only used 1 or 2 controllers and your buddies come over than chances are your batteries are dead. Plus recharable batteries add another $20-30 to a $50 controller. $80 for a wireless controller? + you will have to buy a new rechageable battery in 3 years. I sold my wired one to a friend. Instead of going and buying another wireless one I replaced it with a wired one when the time came. Unless your setup is unfriendly to wires, wired is the way to go. Faster game response, better priced, & more reliable. Some people love the wireless ones, and they can be convinient. And they are nice to have. You need at least 1 for 4 player games. They also have a slightly better resale value. However, I will never sell my wired ones again. *** Microsoft controllers are really the best ones out there. Off brand ones are not as comfortable and usually have worse reaction times.***

Good for competitive play, 360 and PC

I've bought 5 of these controllers from different stores and I've been disappointed with all of them in some manner. The quality from Microsoft on these controllers seems to be poor. They are great for competitive video gaming when they work, but the thumbsticks seem to stick on most of my controllers, one that I bought had a thumbstick that turned extremely slow for no reason. Another somehow completely disabled audio on my system when I use it. I don't know how, but it does. Bottom line: I've heard a lot of complaints from the competitive gaming community about controllers not working, and you kind of have to search for the right one if your unlucky. If you do, the controller should last long and has a faster response time than wireless, its also more comfortable and is overall a better choice especially if you play mostly over Xbox Live.

I bought this when I got my 360 because I had just enough money to get a wired controller. The only reason I'll still use my wireless controller is for the freedom to go to the other side of my room and still talk to friends. The controller is less bulky because it doesn't have a battery pack which is great, no stopping in the middle of a round to switch out batteries. The cord is also long enough to reach where I need to be while I'm playing. The only other cons I have is that microsoft is still making them multi part cords which is easy to loose the adapter that actually fits into the USB port on the xbox. The other thing is that the triggers squeak after using them for a while, I used to play Rainbow Six: Vegas and I was constantly having to hold down the left trigger to hide behind walls and it began to squeak after a month of hardcore use.

I would recommend this wired xbox 360 controller over the wireless one. I love the wired feature as is derives energy from the Xbox 360, meaning no more batteries. This is great because why would you want another controller that is wireless just for multilayer. The reason for this good review is that I play with a wireless controller most of the time but I use a play and charge kit that plugs into the usb spot in the xbox 360. I like the feel of the controller and how the chord weights down the remote. With out the chord the controller seems to light to me now. So if you need a second or third controller get his one and save 10 bucks.

The wired controller works as good as any controller compatible with the Xbox 360, but the wired controller is the best choice to purchase if you are planning on buying one or more controllers for your console. The wired controller is much cheaper than the wireless controller ($10-$20 cheaper) and will not waste any batteries you might have used on your wireless. I have used both types of controllers and they both play exactly the same only one is more expensive and allows a little more freedom of movement. The wired controller is the better choice for an avid gamer as being tethered to your Xbox is a small price to pay in order to save quite a bit of money.

Great controller (works great with newer PC games)

Obviously this controller works well with a 360. However, I purchased this controller to use with PC games that support a gamepad. You can easily download the drivers needed to use the controller (do a quick search online), and then you are all ready to go. I have used this controller with Tomb Raider Anniversary and Bioshock on the PC, and I must say that it is the best controller there is. The triggers work great for racing games and shooters, and the 9 foot cable gives you more than enough length to play with. I would recommend this controller to anyone who wants to use a gamepad on their PC.

I prefer the wired controller over the wireless. My kids (of course) think I am crazy but in my experience the wireless controllers really go through a lot of batteries and that cost adds up over time. In addition to that the weight of the batteries make the controller heavier. I listed the length of the cord as both a pro and a con since it is great for use when you sit in a chair away from the big screen TV but it can also be easily tripped over if you use it in a living room with traffic.

good buy for a wired controller.

Yeah, I going to hear "but wireless controllers are better", but when you don't want to get one, wired works just as good. It's just like the wireless controller but with a wire, that can hook up to both 360 and PC, something you can't do with wireless (you have to buy the wireless gaming reciever to play with the wireless controller on windows). So if you have one wireless controller, buy a wired controller as your next one. P.S.- Its also cheaper than the wireless controller.

Bought joystick a few weeks ago and it works flawlessly with my PC and Xbox 360. It's a little lighter than the wireless controller because it doesn't have the battery pack but it's basically the same controller size, shape and feel. If you don't like recharging batteries then I'd suggest you get this controller.

    The Perfect PC Controller

I have never played with a PC Controller so perfect up until now. Yeah, I know it's an Xbox 360 controller, but it works for PC and it works very well! No other PC controller matches up to the perfection that is this controller. The wireless one for PC is kool, but this one is infinitely better as you don't have to worry about battery life.

I personally like this controller better than a wireless controller. The cord on it is extremely long on this controller which is nice to have. Also it is much lighter than the wireless controller. Best of all, you do not have to pay for batteries or worry about always having a charge.

I think microsoft hardware is well made. I would not try to save a few bucks by buying a cheaper controller. You are already saving money by buying the wired controller. There are no batteries to deal with. If you play with friends this is a good buy, because you dont waste money on wired controllers.

This controller is one of the best things i have gotten for my xbox 360. I always hated have=ing to replace batteries but now I just plug it in and play for hours. The only downside is that you can't play anywhere. You are limited to the cord length.

    Great Upgrade

This controller is far superior to any other I have ever used. Although it is wired, but because it's so light and the cable is so flexible it doesn't even seem like you are tethered to anything. Also it is extremely intuitive and rests easily in your hands.

there is a buzzing that everyone hears whenever i plug in my headset. it's too late for me to return it so i guess people are just gonna have to deal. im sure this isnt a common problem however i would think they would test these things before sending them out.

I use this with my Toshiba laptop and all my computer games because I'm too poor to buy a Xbox 360 (not really but I just don't have one) works great with my war games and my racing games just remember to buy games that are compatible with the controler.

Bought it originally as a second controller for Xbox, but then started using it for PC games. Works seamlessly on both platforms. Definitely a recommended buy for anyone. In addition, the purchase/pickup was extremely easy.

Besides the dirt and grime that gets into the cracks and holes throughout daily use and wear, this product is good ecept for the wire. If I could I would barely rate this ast a 3.5-3.75 in the rating scale

Unlike some wireless controllers, you can always count on wired ones. Had trouble with my wireless but when I bought this I was stress free. May not like wires, but it's the most reliable you can get.
