I got one of these when I bought an elite and I never came close to using up all the space. If you download a lot of games movies and music then your best bet would be to go with this one instead of a 60 or 20 gig, especially if you plan to install lots of games, which take up about 6 gigs a piece. My only problem with this is it's way too expensive to buy by itself. I got mine with my elite, but I would never buy one by itself. It's too expensive considering you can get way more gigs for the same price for a computer. I gave capacity a 4 because there's a 160 gig PS3 out and also for this price it should be closer to 220 gigs than 120. Durability is a 4 because the connector sticks out the bottom and can be damaged easily if you accidentally drop it or step on it for whatever reason. This is really easy to set up and use though. It's basically a giant memory card, just plug and play. Also the transfer cable is very easy to use but it will take about an hour or so to transfer a full 20 gig HDD. Not sure how long a full 60 gig will take.

There are one terabyte hard drives out there for a PC for about this price, so I don't understand why the most you can get for XBox 360 is 120 Gigs!!! With the new XBox Live video and other stuff available for download (free and for points), one could VERY easily fill up 120 Gigs of space in NO time! "Lost Odyssey" has four DVD's, so if you load them all up, then you've already used 20 gigs right there. A movie could be another gig or more, a TV show episode at least half a gig, you get the idea. Basically, they're not encouraging you to buy their stuff in large quantities, unless you want to own multiple drives (I'm not even sure that works with the same gamer tag). Don't get me wrong, 120 gigs is a HUGE improvement, but for this price it ought to be at least double that much storage space!!!

So i bought a 360 from a friend with no hard drive. Payed 150 for this (which if i had to do again i would not)....its easy to use but the price is ridiculously high and not worth it. I have a ps3 and upgraded the hard drive. It cost me 80$ and i have 200gigs...you could even go higher if you wish (they have a laptop hard drive) Personally i bought a western digital and it worked flawlessly. PS3 ftw! plus you can run Linux on it and basically have a comp...not to mention the wireless internet built in (which is free with PlayStation) and no red eye issue....this hard drive just proved to me once more that playstation is far superior to microsoft and their products for the 360

When I had originally purchased my Xbox360 I had decided on going with the premium (20 Gig Harddrive) vs. the Elite System (120 Gig Harddrive). At the time I thought "how in the world could I use up 20 Gigs of space on a gaming console? Well - it only took 3 months. So I purchased this harddrive and it is really well worth the money. I have backed up most of my music CD's onto the Xbox 360 and have downloaded many shows/demos, etc and I still have tons and tons of space. It is well worth the money and it really does make a huge difference.

    Just bought it and after-thoughts

Bought it this week when it was on sale for $120; That's like a $ per gig. I've installed 5 games in a roll and there's still almost 70 gb left. CoD4 runs amazingly fast with the game installed. I bought it mostly to protect it from spinning too long and cause overheat. If you are a casual gamer, and don't use the xbox for too long, then it's probably too expense. But if you use to xbox frequently, and prefers faster loading time, then this is something you might want to consider. As of now, I'm happy with my purchase, perhaps when my credit card bill comes, I'll feel differently...

Not enough storage space or included content

120 gb is certainly a lot more space than the 20 gb on my system. I have to say though, $150 is FAR TOO MUCH for something like this. I agree with the other guys that they could be offering something with twice as much space for the same price. Since they aren't doing that, you would think that maybe, just maybe, they would give you something like an included full-version game or some extra Live points to download some new content. They didn't do that either. Disappointing.

This HDD comes with the cable to transfer the contents of one harddrive to another. It does NOT work going from a large harddrive to a smaller one, only smaller to larger or same size. Also you can only transfer a harddrive once. So, for example if you have 2 20G harddrives you can only transfer one to the new harddrive because as you transfer it erases the new harddrive as it goes. It also erases the source hardrive as well. Kinda lame for Microsoft in my opinion.

The xbox 360 has definitely had its problems over its existence, from the rrod to other huge problems! However it remains one of the best systems to own. I would recommend buying this 120 gb harddrive from Bestbuy if you are a serious gamer. That would mean you are going to be playing a bunch of different games and downloading a lot of the xbox live market place: including game add-ons, music, and videos. It attaches to the top of the Xbox 360 and is easy to use!

120 GB is a huge amount of space for the 360, and anyone that wants to download a lot of stuff should invest in this. Two setbacks for this are the price (about $25-$30 cheaper would be nice), and you have to be connected to xbox live to access any arcade game or marketplace download for some reason. But if you are connected to xbox livemost of the time, then you won't have a problem (unless your internet connection goes out).

I would recommend this to anyone who is running out of space on their 20 GB Hard Drive. If your like me and burn CD's to your Hard Drive, Download Demo's and Arcade Games, and more than this is what you need. If you get by with the 20 GB then I would suggest you stay with that, but for those who want more this is for you!

for all of you who said the price is too expensive. I just bought a brand new 120gb on ebay for less than the 60 gb. I'm very happy with the product and will probably never use up 120 gb of space. Hopefully this review helps anybody who is considering purchasing a hard drive for there xbox 360.

I had a 20 gb hard drive and i kept running out of space. I would avoid downloading maps for games other than halo 3, never got the latest demos, and did not buy any of the movies on marketplace. I highly recomend this to any one with a pro or arcade.

If you are like me and you download alot of movies, shows, games, etc they you know the 20G HDD is not nearly big enough. My only issue with the 120G HDD is it's price. $180 is alot of money to spend on memory if you don't really need it. However, I do need it so I bit the bullit.

Hey lets get it straight, memory cards are ment for portability. NOT the base of ALL memory. Why? cuz if you do... no live arcade, no movies MOMS......NO FIGHTING SIBLINGS OVER MULTIPLE PROFILES! In a nutshell, if you own an Xbox360 you should also own a hard drive

Great item if you play lots. Easy to transfer with the included transfer cable. My only complaint is all the preloaded items on the drive. I expected 120GB of memory but only had about 90+. still deleting all of the unwanted videos, demos, themes and gamer pics.

This was a great gift, I can now down load all the things I wanted to and I am now getting full use of my Xbox 360. With the 120gb hard drive my Xbox 360 does not have to work as hard when I play my games. I would recommend this item to all who have a Xbox 360.

The best way to go for 360 memory

If you plan on downloading anything to your Xbox 360, then this is the way to go. 120 GB is enormous and can hold anything you could ever need. Definitely a recommendation if you're running short on memory on your console.
