The one and only wireless Xbox controller

The wireless Xbox 360 controller is oerfect for any gamer as the shape is great and it's the only tool with which you can perform the art we know as "gaming." Xbox 360's now come packaged along with a wireless controller which is great, but other than that you should stick with a wired controller. The controller works well and has no faults yet it eats up your batteries extremely fast. Within a month of reciving my 360 my controller used 8 batteries total which in my opinion is way too many. The solution: the play and charge kit available at best buy for about 20 dollars. This is a great solution as you will never have to replace your batteries again and will still have that wireless freedom. The controller is also quite pricey compared to a regular wired controller which is essentially the same, just tethered to your Xbox. The wireless controller is about 50 dollars in contrast to the wired controller which I have seen going as low as around 30 dollars which will also eliminate the need for batteries or a play and charge kit. So overall if you buy a wireless and play and charge kit it'll cost you about 70 dollars versus the 30 dollar wired controller all for a little extra freedom of movement. Overall the wireless controller is indeed nice which is why it recieved a 5, but only use your wireless that came with the 360. Otherwise save yourself 40 bucks and just grab a wired controller.

ok im tired of these console wars the ps3 and xbox 360 are very good all in their own ways i have both and i personally prefer my xbox 360 my ps3 is only used for bluray. well i love this controller more than the ps3s it just feels more right and it looks more attractive ive easily gotten 30 hours on a charge by conserving the battery like dont leave it on when your watching a movie or something. also ive gotten it to work farther than 30 feet away and why would you even need to be 30 feet away from your tv i mean unless you have a theater built into your house which i doubt the average american does cuz i dont but seriously this controller is great i have three and ive had them all for at least a year and ive never had problems

The 360 controller is just about as good as it gets for a dual analog stick controller for a modern gaming console. Connecting one to the 360 is a breeze. All of the buttons are very responsive and have a good feel. Durability is very good as my kid has tossed a couple of them around the room and they still work great and aren't any worse for the wear. So far I've only had one wear out after many many hours of gaming, one of the springs got a little loose and one of the sticks wouldn't center properly. The only improvement I would make to the controller would be to have two buttons under your ring fingers, it would be nice to be able to use those buttons while leaving your thumbs on the analog sticks instead of having to move to the D pad or the ABXY buttons.

    Great Controller

This controller is great, I have 3 of these because I have had the 360 for so long. They reach a great amount of feet, so unless your couch is 70 ft away from your xbox, you will be fine. They are light, but very strong. I have dropped my controller many times in my life, and the fall has shown no effect. In my opinion, the controller is very easy to get used to. If you are a serious gamer, and you throw your controllers alot, just make sure you aim for the carpet and not the hardwood floor, and you will be fine. I suggest that you get the play and charge kit or some kind of battery charge kit too, so you can have hours of fun without worrying about spending a lot of money on batteries. In conclusion, this is a great product, 5/5!

    Best Gaming remote EVER!!!

    Posted
    xXThat1DudeXx

Microsoft did not only just look at improvements for the Xbox, but also the remote. The new remote FEELs right in your hands and you can get to all the buttons with ease. Sensitivity is just right as well as battery life. And before your remote dies, it will blink around the guide button. And when the remote does completly die, (IN CAMPAIGN MODES!!!) the game will automatically pause and allow you to change batteries without you missing a single part of the action. But on Xbox Live, if your remote dies, you better hurry and find new batteries beacause the game doesn't stop, it just goes on without you!!! (which STINKS when playing gears of war but is funny when it was the noob that killed you and got all excited)

    excellent controller

this is a great item. the shape of this controller fits comfortably in your hands and can keep you from getting a cramp, not like other controllers that cramp your hand. the button layout is also great. easy to manuvior your fingers to the appropriate position. and the fact that the controller is wireles makes this a top notch item. you can play from about 30 feet away without a problem. the only problem with this controller is that the battery life is not to great. it uses up pretty fast. that is why I recommend you purchase a rechargable battery as well. I recommend this item above third party controllers in the same fashion or to say the same kind of configuration.

I received a white wireless controller with my Xbox 360 and also purchased a black wireless controller. Both controllers work awesomely- not a word but who cares. The quality is great, I have dropped my controllers on my carpet many times and they continue to work. The price is a little high, they should be around forty bucks.... The battery life is also a con, you have to replace them constantly to be able to play wireless. I recommend buying a charge station which charges two batteries at once over the play and charge kit. I have the play a and charge kit and the chord stopped working after five months... bummer. Well if you want to play with friends definitely get wireless controllers.

    Sleek and strong

This controller is a nice upgrade from the old Xbox controllers. The controller feels stronger and yet it's a little smaller than the 1st-gen xbox controllers. The wireless controller has a very strong connection and the sleek design fits perfect on the hands. I recommend the wireless over the wired controls because you can connect four instead of just two (through the USB). Plus it saves room for the Vision cam or a external hard drive. Long lasting even with AA batterys or just use the Lith-ion battery and save some cash on it all together. I love the wireless controller and feel that it's a must for the Xbox 360.

    Best Game Controller Ever Made

    Posted
    Bill4RockBand

This is my favorite videogame controller ever made. The thing is almost perfect. The analog sticks are in the xbox orientation, which is better for shooters than the linear layout of the Playstation pad. The controller has a combination of shoulder buttons and triggers, which I have hoped a controller would have ever since the Xbox had triggers while the PS2 had shoulders. The only downside to this controller is the D-Pad. The directional pad is not very good. There is not much I can say about it besides the fact that it just isn't precise. If you use the D-Pad for 2d Fighting games, you might be upset with it.

    Great wireless controler!

This is a must have for your Xbox 360 because of the wireless capabilities! Its "fits" right with your hand, and is easy too grip. you can please long hours and not have your hand in pain like some other systems. It may just be mine, but sometimes it loses its connection with the system when im in the middle of a game..and I have too reconect using the charger or by pushing the sysnc button on the top. Its an annoyance since it takes about 1 minute too get it back working. I reccomend getting a rechargable battery pack along with this, other wise you will be going through a lot of batteries!

The controller is great if you don't mind spending a little more. Being wireless is convenient and that is pretty much it. If you don't mind the wires, then get the wired controller (it is much cheaper compared to what you'll need to fully utilize the wireless controller). This controller costs $10 more than the wired version, but it'll end up costing you another good $20 or more. This controller sucks the living juice out of the AA batteries even without the rumble. The cheapest solution is to buy the charge-and-play kit for $20. Relying on AA batteries will cost you in the long run.

    Considerably costly...but pays for itself...

If your looking to buy the console itself...buy the package w/ 2 controllers. You may not get much incentive to buy another. The priceyness can herd u away from purchase, but once you want a friend/reletive to play w/ u, you will think about why you didn't buy and think those thought to hogwash. Good luck nitpicking for problems other than price, oh here is something, also try to buy a battery charger too, cuz when its 1:30 AM and you got no batteries.... A+, Don't buy it if your tring to replace ur wired one. PS I recommend it if you want more controllers.

    Great gameplay controller

    Cragyman13

This controller is overall great. Its easy to use and there are only minor problems. Like if your a hardcore gamer, or you just like to play a lot, then the grip on the anolog sticks get worn out and you lose control of your exciting gameplay. Another flaw is the rechargeable battery. It's a great money saver but you have to at least charge it once a week through ten times. The controller itself is pretty well made for the gamer to have his or her way to move or 'control' the game itself and it's durablity is pretty good except the anolog sticks.

    Awesome controller!

This controller is much improved over the regular XBox controller: better feel, added controls, consistent performance. The only possible issue I've run into: when using a wireless adapter, the wireless controller might run into interference (depends on what network protocol you are using; 2.4GHz is what the controller uses). There are several ways to keep the controller powered: use a battery pack with Play-n-Charge (which is what I ended up getting), battery pack with standalone charger, regular AA batteries, or rechargeable AA batteries.

This is how a design should evolve

    GameGuyJohn

Not a lot that needs to be said. Microsoft has come a long way in their controller design. The 360 controller easily ranks as one of, if not the best, console controllers ever, and I say this as a longtime fan of the Playstation controller. Everything about this thing feels great, even the digital d-pad is nice. It is more then worth it to spring for the wireless model, and I would also recommend the battery pack, it will pay for itself soon enough. Things have come a long way since Microsofts Shaq-sized original Xbox controller...

A must have to play at home with friends

If you are going to have friends over to play games you need at least two controllers. A wireless controller is the way to go. The button layout works well. I like the way it fits in my hand, but I have heard people who complain that it is too big. The vibration feedback works well and games are getting better about when to implement it to create the most out of a gaming experience. I have not had any problems with any of my controllers so far, and so I recommend getting multiple controllers if you are going to have friends over.

    Good for a standard controller

The wireless works great, its very responsive and rarely defective. People with big hands and long fingers might find the shape unfomfortable. In addition, some of the buttons might stick after a lot of use, and the bumpers are very close to the triggers which also can cause problems for people with big hands like mine. The madcatz gamepad has a design more like the xbox original controller, which i recommend to people with this problem. They are sold at most best buy locations, but not the website.

Controllers with cords are a thing of the past.

    bighonkinwalrus

So obviously this controller has no cord. Which is nice. Nothing to get torn, broken, frayed or stepped on. Works even when you're pretty far away from the television and is compatible with wireless battery packs. Just slip in 2 AA batteries when they get low and you're ready to play again. A bit expensive for the money. A Wii wireless controller is $39.99 and it does basically the same thing, in fact it does more. Everything for the X-box is quite expensive though.

    Great controller for FPS

The controllers for the 360 are a whole lot better than the ones for the original xbox. You basically have the black and white buttons on the top of the controller call bumper buttons right above the trigger buttons. These type of controllers definitely favor first person shooters. Even though I prefer sonys controllers, these are definitely great for the 360. I would recommend the battery packs and chargers since these controllers drain batteries like crazy.

    Batteries Run Out

The product overall has good intentions of a wireless gamer, but the controller can be a little heavy on your salary. The controller is great for gamers who like to connect right away without having to plug in anything. You can stand up to go to the bathroom and bring your controller with you. The controller is almost identical to the wired one, so you don't have to adjust your playing abilities. Overall the product is satisfying but it needs a longer battery life for true gamers.
